Beomsoo's life has been hard. His parents are both dead, killed when he was just 13 in an accident which turned out to be from criminal negligence and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. His older brother, 20 at the time, took it upon himself to raise them the best he could. But it wasn't enough. Beomsoo remembers when there was little to eat, them sharing one pack of ramen a day just to get by. Inseong insisted they would be find and that Beomsoo just needed to focus on being a good student and to go to university, keep studying his music. Beomsoo had such promising talents. He was a gifted musician and could even sing. Inseong even entertained the idea of Beomsoo becoming an idol or actor. He really did expect Beomosoo to become famous and popular. He bought him second hand instruments on his meager salary with the dream that his little brother would become famous and not have to live such a hard life.
Beomsoo didn't want what Inseong wanted for him. He didn't want his brother putting everything on hold for him. Ever since he could remember, everyone always babied him and tried to keep him safe. He hated it. He just wanted to be his own person. He wanted to be the one protecting and saving the peopel around him. His friends and relatives told him he was stupid for thinking like this. Beomsoo had a lot of musical promise. He was good looking enough to have the advantages a good looking person would have in life. So whywas he so against letting those things shine and taking advantage of it? He just could stand by and let his brother continue to put his own life on hold for Beomsoo. The education Inseong wanted for Beomsoo was simply too much, especially when Beomsoo found out Inseong was working 3 jobs and considering loans and other less scrupulous things to continue to support Beomsoo. All his young adult life he's tried to tell Inseong to stop putting Beomsoo first. He wanted his brother to live his own life. Beomsoo loves music, but his brother had these grand plans for him that he just didn't see for himself. An idol? No way. A classical musician in an orchaestra or a musical actor? Beomsoo couldn't see himself in those sort of roles. But no one, not even Inseong, seemed to listen to him when he spoke about what he actually wanted, if anything. So what if he didn't have a definitive plan yet? He just knew the path his brother had worked so tirelessly to map out wasn't for him. But again, no one would actually listen to his voice. So for a short while he studied music in university
Then 777 emerged. The Might emerged with him. Inseong would always tell Beomsoo about how ridiculous these people were. Why create these people when people with natural talent, like Beomsoo, should be celebrated instead. But Beomsoo didn't hear any of that from Inseong. Beomsoo was amazed, and even more amazed when he found out you could sign up for it. He toyed with the idea a bit, but when he found the bills of debt one late night, hearing his brother crying over something when he thought Beomsoo couldn't hear him, that Beomsoo made up his mind.
Beomsoo decided when he was 20 to sign up for the program. He wasn't going to tell his brother about it, not until he was certain he would be part of the Might. He also stopped his application processes for his education and other opportunities. He decided that if The Might didn't work out, he would get a job and help out. Maybe he'd help find Inseong a girlfriend. He just wanted his brother to not have to worry about him any more and for himself to be of service somehow. He wanted to support his brother for once instead of the other way around. The brief thought that if things went badly for him, then at least Inseong would have one less thing to worry about also did cross his mind sadly.
Unfortunately when Beomsoo came out of the program and suffered from the loss of his voice, his brother was shattered. He accused Beomsoo of being a selfish child who didn't care about anyone else than himself since he clearly didn't care about the work his brother did. Inseong wanted nothing to do with Beomsoo anymore. And this time, Beomsoo couldn't really shout back at him that his life was his to make something of it. Not that Inseong would have bothered to listen. So Beomsoo began his life with The Might, solo and alone without the support of his brother.

Beomsoo really believes in the greater good of things. He's a lot like a videogame or anime hero. He sets out to be the goodest person he can be because its the right thing to do. He likes to believe that most people are good and don't want to do bad things. His faith in people is admirable but also very foolish.
People can really take advantage of him giving most people he meets the benefit of the doubt. His brother used to scold him for giving random people on the street his money because they asked and told him they heeded it for something. While he's matured and is not quite that dumb any more he still tends to give people second and third chances a little too much. He's much too trusting. Even his friends and fellows also can rake advantage of his generosity a little too much because he doesn't tend to object or even think anything is wrong with them asking and him helping. He's just a go with the flow sort of guy who wants everyone to get along really. But Beomsoo really is just a nice guy in general. He's sensitive in that he's emotionally mature in many ways while always keeping other people in mind. He might cry at a disney movie but he'll also make sure you have tissues if you're crying.
He makes it a point to get along with people in general. He's not quite a complete people pleaser, but sometimes it comes very close to it. Since he likes to go with the flow, he rarely makes his objections completely known or dismisses them easily. However, when it comes to everyday interactions, he's expressive and doesn't keep secrets. He doesn't see the point of being dark and broody over something. He's good at expressing his emotions and feelings, just not good with being assertive in his being right or pushing his own agenda. He's a bit too much of a follower rather than a leader.
What he lacks in assertiveness, he makles up in patience. He will wait for the right moment, dodge at the last moment, or anything that requires not to be hasty, he does it well. He might not be the most intelligent person, but he is also not the one rushing in to make hasty mistakes. It's something that made him using his power much easier. meaning of name: Put simply, The definition of reverb (short for reverberation) is when a sound occurs in a space that sends sound waves outwards in all directions. Plus Reverberation was too long and Sonic was a hedgehog.

— He genuinely wants to do good and keep people safe and to take charge of his life and actions. He was also joining to alleviate his brother of hardships and to ensure their financial issues would be a thing of the past.

abilities:
— sound detection - very basic ability to tune into specific noises and sounds. Think of it like sonar or tracking. he can use this to find people and things far away if he can focus on their particular sound patterns. he obviously needs to know what kind of sound he's looking for.
— sound amplification - he can cause sounds to reverberate and echo at greater wavelengths and power and volumes. It can be as simple as raising the volume of a speaking voice, or as destructive as using sound to shatter or break things, even eardrums.
— sound cancellation - he refers to it as his sphere of silence, but what he does is cause all sound waves within a certain radius of him to not work as well. it doesn't work on people who can't hear obviously but it is also really disoreinting for someone not used to being in complete silence
— sound conversion - not really amplification, but Beomsoo can also focus sound waves into concussive force or even cutting forces. He can direct these into devestating attacks. This requires a direct sound, so he prefers to whistle a short note or snaps and use that for his attacks and defense.

— Beomsoo has lost the ability to speak much without it hurting. He has been told if he uses his voice for the purposes of his powers, he could do irreversible damage to his vocal cords. He's learned the hard way already. He used to be very talkative but now has to convey his thoughts other ways because it just hurts to speak sometimes. This also hurts him quite a bit mentally since he used to be able to sing and now can barely speak.

His older brother is the only person in his family who knows his secret and has been under NDAs since. Inseong hates the existence of the Might and the program. He also hates that his little brother, due to their family and money issues, went to the program. He is a hardworking kind of guy who values that same mindset in people. He feels like his little brother both didn't have faith in him and took the easy was out of their situation. They don't talk anymore really. Even when Beomsoo will try to facetime him, Inseong will just tell him, "why bother? you can't even talk any more." and hang up. Inseong struggles with having an open mind, not just with the Might. He's fairly set in his ways and gets combative when people try to correct him. Even though inseong knows he's wrong to be so harsh on Beomsoo, he can't bring himself to apologize or make amnds. He ends up just upsetting Beomsoo or anyone else more. Inseong and his relationship with him is the biggest thing Beomsoo regrets about being in The Might.

Sometimes people say Beomsoo is like a younger version of Chiwon. It's probably this reason that Chiwon has taken Beomsoo under his wing.They bonded over a shared breaking familial bonds and sometimes, because of Beomsoo's boyish nature, Chiwon sees his children in him as well. Beomsoo sees a friend and mentor in Chiwon, plus the older brother figure he lost when Inseong decided to break ties with him. 777 is was his hero and Beomsoo wants to be a hero like him ion the long term. It was because of him he joined the program, so Beomsoo has the highest regard and respect for him.

Yooshik is another person Beomsoo has great rspect and regard for. He's another person who has become something of an older brother to him. The difference is that Yooshik is more prone to getting Beomsoo into trouble with him, and Beomsoo also finds he envies his relationship with Chiwon. What Beomsoo sees between the two of them is the relationship he lost with his brother, so sometimes seeing them makes him a little sullen or otherwise sad. He tries not to let it affect him, but Beomsoo has been hanging around Yooshik less these days because of it.

Truthfully Beomsoo just doesn't understand him. He feels like his literal antithesis. He's rich, powerful, known, and somehow is thriving despite his status as a villain. He's is an enigma to Beomsoo, and despite not knowing him directly, might be someone who could lure Beomsoo to the dark side if he were to ask him. Whever Beomsoo see's Woojin go live or otherwise be active, he begins to question how he is able to do all that while others like Beomsoo must remain secretive and give up so much. It really is a conundrum for Beomsoo.

— Beomsoo is tall and broad shouldered, which might make him intimidating to people if it wasn't for his disposition. He just walks around looking like he's happy to be here. His smile is one of the first things most people remember about him since its what he greets everyone with. Some people around the Might call him a labrador with his happy disposition. NBoticeably is also how he emotes his feelings easily since he has to convey them somehow since he can't use his tone. Honestly it sometimes looks like he can't have a care in the world. So when he does actually looks sad or upset, it's very noticeable. Hairwise he keeps is easy unless someone decides to style it up more for him. If you let him do his own hair with product it can be a real mess.

— Simple shirts and simple jeans or pants or sweats are his go to every day. He doesn't see the value of namebrands so he doesn't really think about it too much. His clothing fits loosely versus the more trim fit of his costume. He does have a collection of snapbacks and other hats he adores and he'll change them up all the time.

The clothes are generally form fitting because someone noted even the movement of excess fabric could mess with his sound control (think like a motorcycle jacket and pants similar). They once designed his outfit to possibly have amplifiers on them, but it looked dumb and wete redundant. He's his own amp.
