Getting used to

There was a dog. He wandered around entire day. By the end of the day, it felt super tired. He sat down on an empty space to rest.

Sigh... he simply wanted to give relief to his feeble legs but there was a nail where he sat down. It poked him in his . However, the pain was not too much so, instead of moving to next place, he stayed there. He thought after getting little recharged, he would shift.

Few hours passed by like that. He knew that he needed to move to different space but the pain was not unbearable so, he felt too lazy to find another location. He knew that if he took out the nail, it would give him relief but he ignored that.

Instead of trying out the solution, he lacked courage. Many what ifs came in his mind, what if there are more nails in new place, what if he will have to walk a lot to find better place, what if the neighbours there won't be welcoming.

Many times we are like that. We know it's time for change but either we fear new thing or get used to the pain or simply give in to the situation. We succumb to the fear of insecurity and live with the nail stuck with us.
