other names
◦.*❁ klarra her actual name. No one aside from her family and friends back in Snezhnaya calls her by this name, if she even keeps in contact with them at all. More importantly, a certain Fatui Harbinger calling her by her real name makes her skin crawl. She would rather be called Elora; it gives her a new identity, a breath of fresh air, if you will.
alias
◦.*❁ legal representative the official title given to her by the Knights of Favonius. Her duties as part of the knights are self-explanatory.
◦.*❁ hidden protector most people will find Elora’s head buried in the numerous books in the Favonius library, or the sheer amount of papers in her office at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. But those who are acquainted with her on a more personal level (for example, the knights) will know that she can hold her own when it comes to battles, or will personally sort people (or creatures) out when they become difficult.

characteristics
If you’re looking for a female version of Diluc, Elora is the closest you can get.

She could be considered as somewhat of an outlier of sorts- taller than Amber, but not quite as tall as Jean or Lisa is, falling somewhat in the middle. Her slim build, however, gives off the impression of her looking taller than she actually is. Beneath that slim stature, though, are some lean muscles that are primarily found on both her arms and her core. That’s rather surprising to an outsider, given that her role in the Knights of Favonius doesn’t require much physical work from her. But it’s not too surprising to the knights, though, who know that she trains regularly with them.

Her frown of hers is quite odd, especially when you take into account her pale skin, luscious red hair and delicate features. However, her purple eyes with diamond-shaped pupils that are always shining seem to suggest otherwise. People like Lisa or Kaeya or Amber know that the Legal Representative who looks like she never smiles does actually smile, almost as though she’s an innocent girl without any care in this world. However, those moments are rather rare.

Elora’s outfit further enhances the oddity that is her- a black, sleeveless, knee-length dress with purple and red adornments, black leggings and black boots, quite an unusual outfit for a knight. Her electro vision can be found hanging from the choker she adorns on her neck.

about elora
I can’t deny how hard a worker Elora is, or how intelligent she is. She definitely has all the qualities of being a knight- she’s strong, courageous, has a strong sense of justice, she’s kind to everyone and willing to serve. But I can’t help but feel as though she seems to be hiding something, as much as she shares about herself… Jean

Elora? She’s a bit of a sister to me, and not just because she’s taller than me. Sure, she can look a little intimidating on the outside, and is pretty no-nonsense at times, but she’s pretty easy-going. At least she can relax around us, and no, she’s not as stuck up as people think she appears to be! Might I add that her jokes and her straight face go so well today? Her bickering with Kaeya is such a treat! Amber

She came from Sumeru Akademiya, like I did. I can sense the tiredness from miles away. That is, if I dig deeper into it. How typical of someone who has been broken by their rules from a long time ago. I like to think that she was once a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed youngster when she was working at the Akademiya. Maybe that really was the case. Lisa

Elora’s is the best! She's like an older sister! But why does she always look so angry? It’s a little scary. But she’s quite kind and tries to make sure that I don’t get too much trouble with Master Jean! Klee

Oh, Elora? She’s actually a really good senior to me. She helps me remember things regarding the Knights of Favonius and Mondstadt, she sometimes does physical training with me, and even allows me to handle some of her paperwork! She’s very serious when working, and she definitely cares a lot for the people of Mondstadt. I hope to be like her someday. Noelle

I’m not sure if Elora knows it, or she is already aware of just how brilliant she is. A rival even. That’s what I heard the other knights say. *chuckles* Hate to break it to them that we aren’t enemies, though, definitely more like friends. If you put together an alchemist with an eye for detail and a legal representative who is meticulous in all that she does, I wonder what will happen? Something good, I hope. Albedo

I see Elora sometimes, when I happen to be the bartender at Angel’s Share for the night. Even though I can’t say that I’m in friendly relations with the Knights of Favonius, I can’t deny that she’s extremely professional and dedicated to her work. I didn’t quite expect to hit it off with her so well. Two sides of the same coin when it comes to protecting Mondstadt, I suppose. Diluc

In my humblest opinion, I think Elora’s probably the most interesting knight we have with us thus far. I haven’t really seen a knight as exasperated as she is when it comes to my way of handling work, or fights with me as often as she does- okay, not a full-blown fight, more like lovely little quarrels. I’d say she makes pretty good company, as different as we are. Or maybe deep inside, we’re more similar than we thought. Kaeya

Ah, Elora, or, should I say, Klarra, and I couldn’t be more different. At least, that's what she thinks. Might I say, instead, that we’re actually cut from the same cloth. She isn’t affiliated with the Fatui in any way, but she, like me, knows and sees too much. I know that she’s painfully aware of the fact that if she, an upright knight of Favonius, meets a Fatui Harbinger outside of work, the harder it’ll be for her to conceal the truth of our complicated relationship. She keeps things business only and pretends to not know me or even rekindle the friendship we once had. Maybe I’m waiting for the day when she comes to the realisation that she’s not that good a person she once envisions herself to be. Tartaglia
CHARAC-
TER.
CHARAC-
TER.
Elora was born as the second child to a family living in Snezhnaya, with Ajax’s family as their neighbours. Since the both of them are rather similar in age, they spent a fair bit of their childhood playing together. She’s friendly with the other kids, hanging out with them, too, but what made Ajax a little more special is her protectiveness towards him. You see, he was incredibly timid during his childhood, once even needing Elora to chase away several boys who were picking on him. The longer they hung around each other, the more she got to know Ajax’s silent but ever present ambition to be an adventurer, just like his old man was. She also greatly encouraged him to slowly break out of his own comfort zone and be more confident in himself.

When it comes to obtaining her vision, Elora remembers it quite well, in fact. Ajax was dared by another boy to run across an alarmingly thin sheet of ice (it was not cold enough yet), and when the ice began to crack, she had led him to safety. She found an electro vision in her hand just moments later, when Ajax pointed to it in awe. Since then, she strove to use her vision only for good. Or maybe when there’s power outages, if that ever happens.

Little did she expect that her life would experience its first major change when Ajax went missing for three days, being worried sick like his family was. But when he came back, he was like a completely changed man. Ajax was gone, and in his place was an Ajax who was thirsty for war. And, as expected, they slowly drifted apart, even more so when he joined the Fatui, and when she later learned that he had become Tartaglia, codenamed Childe, the Eleventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers.

Elora had always excelled in her studies, and when she was accepted into a law school in Fontaine, the nation of justice, of course she’ll pack her bags and head there with lots of enthusiasm. She certainly did enjoy her time there, wrote letters to her family every now and then, even became one of the top law graduates and even secured a job as a legal assistant for Sumeru Akademiya.

She was to learn that life in Sumeru was far less enjoyable than she expected. It wasn’t too bad when it comes to her, but she couldn’t say that for the students and researchers of the Akademiya. She knew all too well how the Akademiya ruined them with their strict rules and drove many to eventual madness. So she left, deciding to find someplace else where she can put her expertise to.

She continued her journey to Liyue, the nation of contracts. Nice city, she admits, very prosperous and has a welcoming atmosphere.

But it was not until she travelled to Mondstadt, the nation of freedom, that did she feel like she was at home.

She quickly found a place to stay, and began putting her law skills into practice- helping to settle disputes and providing legal advice, sometimes even helping her clients for free. Slowly but surely, she began earning fame within Mondstadt. It was only a matter of time before the Knights of Favonius caught wind of this up and coming lawyer, and sent her an invitation to join them as a legal representative. It was a great honour, and there was no reason as to why Elora shouldn’t take them up on this offer.

Little did they realise that besides gaining a legal representative, they even gained a knight who can help to settle things physically.

But there’s still one more question- why not return to Snezhnaya, where she originally came from?

To be completely honest, Elora doesn’t know if she can call Snezhnaya her home anymore.

Her childhood and growing up with Ajax seems so far away. And with how aggressive the Fatui has been over the last few years and her family being rather staunch supporters of their “diplomatic” ways, she feels alienated from them. Even more so when the people here in Mondstadt seem to be more of a family than the one back in the place she was born and raised in.

And of course, she can’t just leave Tartaglia out of her reasons for not going back.

Obtained from cooking Northern Smoked Chicken. The chicken is grilled to perfection, and served with cheese and vegetables on flatbread. But what makes A Northern Twist so special is the light purple sauce served with it- its hint of spiciness and hint of tanginess makes the dish so refreshing and delightful with every bite.

hello
Pleasure to meet you. I’m the Legal Representative of the Knights of Favonius. No matter how big or how small your troubles are, count on me to handle them. If they are within my means, of course.

chat: legal work
Everyone’s always getting into some kind of trouble… good thing I’ll be kept busy by them.

chat: contracts
Contracts is the ideal of the nation of Liyue, and I can totally see why. When it comes to upholding something or offering a form of protection, that piece of paper with words written on it holds more power than anything else. On the flip side, it has the power to break someone, so always remember to read it carefully and at least twice, to be safe.

chat: freedom
Living in Mondstadt has been such a wonderful experience, and one of the best decisions I could ever make. But I’m not too sure about their ideal- freedom. Sure, freedom means that people are free to do what they desire to do, but not so great when what they do is against the law.

when it rains
Ah, what great weather to stay indoors and finish my work. Hopefully.

when thunder strikes
Not music to my ears at all, but it is a package deal with rain. I’ll live through it.

when it's windy
What perfect weather to go out for a stroll. “Get some fresh air in your lungs”, that’s what people always say. I can’t fault them for saying this, though.

when the sun is out
Ugh, not my favourite weather at all, since I’ll be sweating before long. Clouds and wind are always a welcome change.

about elora
Oh, you want to know more about my work? I’m afraid I might bore you with the legal papers I go through, though. But law is always such a fascinating topic, and I’m happy to be involved with them one way or another.

about the vision
It’s such a great honour to be bestowed with this gift, especially because I know I earned it by doing a good deed. I always strive to do good, more so because I’m now able to wield electro power. It’s like there’s an even greater responsibility on my hands.

something to share
One downside to court hearings are the moments where they turn into shouting matches between plaintiff and defendant. That’s why lawyers and judges are necessary to help calm everyone down. But I can’t say those heated exchanges aren’t entertaining, though. Especially when we as lawyers sometimes can and will put people in their place.

elora's hobbies
Yes, I do have a life outside of reading the law and handling legal matters. I quite enjoy reading a good novel, as a matter of fact. Exercising is another favourite of mine- got to keep your mind sharp and body in good shape, you know?

favourite food
I like quite a huge variety of food, actually. Something sweet, something spicy, something sour- I’m game for exploring and trying anything new. As long as it is edible, of course.

least favourite food
I once received a slime pudding for my birthday, gifted to me by none other than the Cavalry Captain. Maybe it’s because I eat almost anything. It doesn’t taste awful, but if you ask me if I’d like to have another serving of this slime pudding, I’d rather not.

birthday
Birthdays are always such special occasions- after all, getting older and hopefully wiser is something that should be celebrated. I hope that on your special day, you will only have wonderful and happy memories. Eat lots of good food, too. And don’t forget to have some cake!

 traveller

With the traveller as a stranger from another world who defeated Stormterror (read: Dvalin) and earned themselves a reputation for being an Honorary Knight, it’s expected that Elora, a knight herself, will be aware of who they are.

Since Elora has a pretty respectable position in the Knights of Favonius (she is their Legal Representative, after all), she’s gotten several opportunities to interact with the traveller, although she can’t help the slight disappointment due to missing out on dealing with the Ley Line disruptions that are powering Stormterror. Then again, there’s enough knights dealing with them, and she has legal work to handle, anyway.

Elora will sometimes ask the traveller to help out with her work, which does include investigation work involving legal procedures and the clients she’s helping out, unlike others who ask the traveller to do menial work. In return, she’ll shed more knowledge on various laws among the nations of Teyvat, and even some information on Snezhnaya and the Fatui which most people don’t quite know about. She has also bailed the traveller out on several occasions where they have a brush-in with various law enforcement across Teyvat.

In fact, the traveller is pretty much the only person who knows a little about her complicated relationship with a certain member of the Fatui, and that of her homeland. Part of it is to help the traveller on their journey across Teyvat, but part of it is due to them not being a part of this world.

 kaeya

about kaeya I wonder what the Cavalry Captain is thinking of when it comes to handling his work. I don’t always understand his ways of doing things, but as long as the work’s done and no trouble comes, it’s all good. He’s probably easier to get along with outside of knightly duties, in my opinion.

Elora and Kaeya being pretty close friends isn’t something that the other knights have been anticipating. But when you take a closer look at the way they interact with each other, it’s quite easy to see why. Their tendencies to bicker with each other, which, most of the time, is Elora putting Kaeya in his place, provides much entertainment for the other knights. But more importantly, it gives them plenty of opportunities to interact and get to know each other.

Beyond their bickering, though, are two people who are quite similar to each other. Maybe the fact that both of them are hiding something about themselves makes them be able to tell that someone else is doing the same, although they’re not quite ready to shed light into their deepest thoughts at the moment.

 lisa

about lisa I’ve heard about Lisa during my time at Sumeru Akademiya, an exceptionally gifted student who graduated just within two years of studying at that place. Her knowledge of all kinds of books and theories are simply just amazing, and learning things from her is something wonderful. But I do wish she’ll go outside with me more often, though.

It goes without saying that having heard plenty of Lisa during her time in the Sumeru Akademiya, Elora greatly looks up to her, even more so when she’s seen the way in which she conducts her studies and concocts potions, which is also a part of Lisa’s job under the Knights of Favonius.

Although initially, like many others, Elora wondered why Lisa would decide to forgo being an extraordinary scholar in favour of being a humble librarian, she changed her mind after working at Lisa's alma mater. Having insight into the workings of a particular place which breaks its students and staff at an unprecedented rate is enough for Lisa and Elora to relate to and befriend each other, and be one of their many topics of discussion. With the numerous discussions they have, from research work to Sumeru to law and order to potion making, it’s never boring when they’re in each other’s company.

Maybe it’s also because they have been through troubles while at Sumeru Akademiya, that Lisa trusts Elora a little more with the reason behind her laissez-faire lifestyle. Knowledge can be a dangerous thing- that Elora admits, when she’s dealing with knowing more than the average person behind the Fatui and their methods of achieving diplomacy (although, of course, Lisa knows nothing about that).

 knights of favonius

about albedo I wish I was as talented as Albedo is- his alchemy and artistic skills are pretty much unmatched. I also wish I could see him a little more often, though. But that being said, how does he even live in Dragonspine for months on end? I think I’d freeze to death if I went anywhere near that place.

about amber She’s a textbook definition of a knight- always ready to help and protect the citizens of Mondstadt at all times, and committed to her work. I can’t say I see her very often, since she’s often away due to her duties as an Outrider, but it’s always been pleasant talking to her.

about eula Out of all the captains under the Knights of Favonius, I see Eula the least. It’s probably mainly because of her job as Captain of the Reconnaissance Company. She’s really serious, at least that’s what I get when I do see her, but I know she puts her heart and soul in whatever she does.

about jean Ah, the Acting Grand Master. She’s so responsible when it comes to her duties as a knight, and I respect her a lot, but I hope she remembers to rest and not push herself too much.

about klee Klee’s probably great fun, provided that she doesn’t come in and mess with my work, or, worse still, blow up my papers and evidence! One time I was stuck babysitting her because everyone else was busy, so I had to watch her go fish blasting. *sigh* But I had a pretty good time outside, though.

about mika He’s always ready to learn, and is always happy to help anyone. And his map drawing skills are wonderful, too- I’ve got a copy of a map of Mondstadt, and it’s very detailed. It makes investigation for my clients so much easier, thanks to him.

about noelle Noelle’s so disciplined and such a hard worker, and I can see how much she wants to be a full-fledged knight. She trains rain or shine, and she’s helped out with some paperwork, too. But I do wish that she isn’t always too eager to help others out.

about sucrose Picture someone who has lots of passion and interest in alchemy, always happy when her experiments succeed, but can be adorably awkward at times. *chuckles* Well, who can I be talking about other than the Assistant Alchemist?

 diluc

about diluc Oh, the owner of Angel’s Share who always looks grumpy? He whips up some lovely Dandelion Wine. If you talk to him, maybe you might just discover that his bark is worse than his bite.

If Elora’s being honest, she never expected that she’d become friends with Diluc, the man who always looks so done with life on the outside. Perhaps it’s because she’s a pretty regular customer at Angel’s Share, and she’s managed to strike up some conversations when Diluc happens to be around.

As much as she’s on good terms with Kaeya, there’s something about Diluc’s grumpiness and bite to his words she finds a bit more refreshing, so she prefers to hang out with Diluc, just a little bit more. On Diluc’s end, even though Elora is more outgoing (in fact, she reminds Diluc of Kaeya), he doesn’t find her presence annoying, because she knows when not to overstep her boundaries.

Elora is also one of the few people who knows who exactly the Darknight Hero is. It just so happens that while she’s returning home late from her work (because a particular client’s case was more complicated than she initially expected), she happened to witness him fight off some abyss mages that were near the City of Mondstadt. That secret is being kept safe by Elora to this day, because she knows that he’s protecting Mondstadt in his own way.

As for Diluc, despite his general distrust towards the Knights of Favonius due to his perceived incompetence in their way of handling things, he can’t help but admire Elora’s ways of upholding justice, even when it clashes against his own ways of doing so.

 tartaglia

elora's troubles One of the scariest things is realising that you don’t actually know anything about the people that you think you know so well, or that you only have a surface-level understanding of someone and not who they are deep down… wait, did I say a bit too much?

What should Elora call Tartaglia? Her childhood friend, the Eleventh Fatui Harbinger, Childe, or something else?

She remembers a time before Tartaglia became, well, Tartaglia. He was Ajax, a timid boy but full of heart. With just more confidence, he can do great things like his father does as an explorer. But when he left home without telling anyone, not even Elora, and somehow came back as a cocky, volatile young man, she had no idea how to deal with this change, even when Tartaglia tells her that as a friend, she should be proud of how much he has changed.

Before you say that Elora wishes that Tartaglia could revert back to his days as Ajax, let’s set something straight. She is happy for Tartaglia, because he’s grown fearless and became really skilled. But becoming a warrior who craves for strife and thirsts for violence? She doesn’t know what to do about that. She no longer knows how to have a conversation with someone who’s become a literal stranger in just a matter of three days, not when it ends with a quarrel more often than not.

And how does Elora deal with this? She runs away, more so when she hears about the havoc Tartaglia has caused in other nations as a Fatui Harbinger. But as the Legal Representative of the Knights of Favonius, she can’t avoid him altogether, not when she has to maintain diplomatic relations with Snezhnaya.

In Tartaglia’s eyes, Elora’s escapism is a ticking time bomb, and he’s waiting for the day when it all comes crashing down when his beloved friend realises that she can no longer pretend that their days as Klarra and Ajax, best friends forever does not exist.

ending
I’ve had Elora in the works since 2022, and she’s gone through numerous revisions since then, partly because of my writer’s block, and partly because I wasn’t exactly sure of what direction I want to take Elora in. But she’s here now!

In hindsight, I might’ve created a character that's too similar to Yanfei and Lisa, but I hope that Elora’s distinct enough to stand apart from the both of them, and that everything about her makes sense! Especially the personality portion, as I decided to go with voice-lines instead of a write-up.

Hope you’ve enjoyed reading, and let me know if there’s anything to clarify or edit, because there may be a pretty good chance that I may have gotten something muddled or outright wrong especially since I haven’t touched Genshin Impact for a while now, oops

Maybe it’s because I play as Aether (and everyone except one person I know in real life has Lumine as the traveller, yeah the opposite of conventional Genshin Impact players), I prefer Lumine as the abyss twin. Even though Lumine appears to be portrayed as the twin who’s unemotional and heartless as compared to Aether, I’d like to think that Lumine has feelings and she still cares, but it’s because of the things that Lumine has experienced in Teyvat has ultimately shaped her to become who she is now. And as such, I’d like to know more about her motivations and reasons for becoming the abyss princess.

And also because I’ve noticed that quite a number of applicants have put Aether as the abyss twin, and I want to provide an alternative perspective on who should be the abyss twin.
