A N G E L
When did you fall from the sky? I ask myself while you’re sitting across the room
You speak with such depth, but you doubt yourself too soon
You deny your wings and would often settle in the land
And compensate for your departure by helping and giving anyone a hand
You made pain, your mistress, and love, your enemy
Still, Delight wants to apprehend that abstract symphony
That dark brown orbs glimmers at the slightest glimpse of relief
As a spectator, it brings me peace and more room to breathe
How painful is that scar? How tragic is that past?
What color is your hand? And when will that suffering last?
Let’s light up the candle on that grave and bid our farewell
Kiss goodbye for what ended and ready your ship for another sail
I crave to see that back that at long last at peace with what he has
Living passionately, smiling, and laughing no longer imprisoned to what was
Find your place but hold on to who you really are
Because you’re enough–so don’t get too far
I beseech you to stay safe for another day’s gift
For you to encounter a beautiful soul and stay as you see fit
