Mild Roleplay Rant

Does anyone ever write for the stories anymore?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good romance myself, but it would be nice if people were more open to writing plots whose end goal is not a relationship? Like, I want to lore/character-build, I want to write about magic or weird sci-fi things, why is it so hard to find partners that are open to that? Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, I don't know, but does anyone else feel the same? I feel like what I'm looking to get out of roleplaying has changed a lot during the last 3-4 years, and it's hard for me to settle with most plot/rp premises nowadays, so yeah, I'm the one who's being picky at this point, lmao - I know. But it does frustrate me from time to time when I post non-romance-related plot prompts/requests, and have very few/no responses.

Feel free to vent, if you want.

The way this caught my eye when I was just making an ad looking for a pretty little baby to ruin— I abandoned the ad.

Anyways, I do agree with you. I can't plot a date without having to dread a relationship at the end of it. I haven't done much writing at all in the past few years. I'm at that point where I'm desperate to write and explore new genres I haven't tried before I eventually leave.

I do hope you find plotting partners who don't seek romance. Manifesting this for you.
