How to make story get noticed

It is what the writers want to know the most.

Me too. When I just started writing online, I thought about this.

Now, I can respond 'how' and I can tell you, but in general statement and based on my own experience. Furthermore, I want to tell that it is related to writing online, not writing a book.

How to make your story get noticed on web

1. Choose website

You have to choose fiction website that is matched with your story.

If you are writing novel, it is better to choose Asianfanfics, Wattpad, Webnovel, Inkitt. Messagink or Commaful should be avoided because Messagink is a kind of modern writing - message style, and it is for a very short story. As for Commanful, it is similar to video or presentation slide, it comes along with photo; it is suitable for short story more than novel.

2. Writing a

It seems to be not good to suggest you to write such topic, but according to my own experience, it is the one that brings me to fame.

I signed up many webs - Asianfanfics, Wattpad, Webnovel, Inkitt, Messagink, Commaful, Dreame, and so on. I published several topics: ghost story, romance, empower woman, educational story. The highest view was 100 only, and I did not have any follower. But when I published a short fiction, even my writing was very poor, number of view and follower were increased day by day.

So, if you are newbie on web writing, you should consider this topic if you want your name to get noticed. I cannot guarantee that you gain much view or follower fast, it depends on many factors to make yourself well known in this industry; however, writing a story is a good start for most of writers.

3. Update frequently

It's like playing youtube, you have to update regularly and frequently if you want your account to get noticed.

Hence, before you publish, you should finish more than ten chapters, then set up regular schedule to publish.

4. Many choices for readers

If you have more than five books in your account, it is easily to attract the readers. Because readers have different like, it is impossible to say all readers that come to your account like your book, so you have to give them choices, you have to have many books with different concepts and writing styles; because, though, they don't like any of your book, but they will come back next time.

5. Easy to read easy to understand

Most of online writing language is English.

Some writers might have pressure because they think their English is not good.

I had same feeling.

When I published first story in English, I was worried the readers didn't understand my story, I was afraid they laughed at my writing, I was scared that they would not read my story etc.

But then I found out that not only writer that has poor English, but also readers have poor English.

I can tell you that my story is not having good English, even grammar or spelling is wrong, but still readers come to my story - because they can understand my English.

In this point, I want to advice you to not think too much when you write. Don't put pressure yourself because of level of your English. Write simple sentence, use simple words. Grammar or punctuation is not big deal, you can fix it later. Just create a story that make your readers understand what you want to tell them and what you want to expect from them is enough.

6. Your story, your skill

It is hard to explain. However, I can say about my experience.

I am skillful in short story. The concept story that is favorite of readers is . So, I combine them together, writing a short a story.

Here are my tips for online writers.

I hope that my text will help you or guide you a way.

Thanks for reading.

Nice. i guess i can say i really do agree with #3. i had one fic where i updated almost every 1-2 days and it gathered readers which was a rare thing for my fics...but then again, the show the fic was based on was quite popular at that time, so that could also be a reason. but #2, even though i know it is indeed true, i guess it made me realized that maybe i never really cared that much to get noticed...i mean, yeah that's nice...but i want to be noticed for my own style...even if it means i will just get one reader who love my fic or many times, even none, it feels great to have someone loving what you write for what you really wanted to write even if it's something that nobody else would care for, but of course that's not helpful at all to achieve the mentioned goal. another tip you can add is using the same few popular names as characters. lol. i see that being topic of discussion often...again, for me...i write for who i want to write for since one of my reasons writing fanfics is to promote my idols. besides, using names others don't already write of will give you your own unique market and help you more noticeable to the people looking for those small/nonexistant market...but it's probably too niche for those who want big results. anyway, interesting topic. i'm sure your sharing will be helpful for writers here.
