FIRST MEETING: 

— They met in the recording studio with their producer when their agencies had agreed upon a song that was pushed onto their teams. The two were very popular names on the rise in China, and what better would it be if these two names were listed together on a song collaboration? With only pro's weighing on their companies backs, the two finally got together to rehearse their single. At that point, they knew each other only by name and had NO idea what would become of this newfound collaboration.

DEVELOPMENT: 

— Their relationship started off purely as a publicity stunt for their song, at the time. Their song blew up and people wanted to see more of them. Zidan was FURIOUS, with the realization of what his company was making him do. It was like they wanted to tie him down so that nobody else would be able to have him. He was at his peak, he wanted to do what he wanted, when he wanted. He didn't need a girl by his side no matter how much more popular she was than him. He'd get to the top on his own!

On the other hand, Lila was reserved. She was quiet, conformative, and didn't really object to being with Zidan for the clout. If it made her company proud, then so be it. This was her career, and she'd do anything to excel. Of course, she was quite annoyed with the way Zidan had taken the news of their sudden "relationship status". She went as far as to tell him, "Look, I know you don't want this but hell. Neither do I. However, our choices went out the window the second we decided to be public figures. Our lives aren't ours, if this is going to help boost our popularity, then so be it. Grow up, get over it, and cut me some ing slack."

Its fair to say that he was even more pissed off for being called out, but he didn't complain about it any further. Zidan did what was expected of him. He was always wherever she was and in front of cameras, he was the boyfriend everybody wished they had.

It was a relationship that crept up on their feelings. When they started it was nothing but disdain, that grew into a longing that neither of them could put their finger on. They went from doing what was needed and going straight home afterwards to lingering after public appearances and hanging out, outside of their schedules. It became real before they knew it themselves. When it was time to pull the plug, the two of them were suddenly panicking, looking for reasons to keep the rug underneath their feet.

"What? No, but why? I thought the publicity was good?" It was good. But it was also old news that everybody had grown too comfortable with. Their respective companies wanted the couple to gain more flow, they needed drama within the relationship and that was one thing Zidan was willing to put his foot down for. Luckily for both of them, they were finally able to come to the realization that it was no longer for the public. It was for them. They had found a deeper connection with one another from this experience and they weren't going to risk it for more traffic.
