Anybody who knows Noa, knows that he's a loudmouthed leader who takes care of his own. He is one with the land, and is as swift as the water. He's very memorable and is either somebody you love, or somebody you hate right off the bat.He is the high chief's son and was always taught to be on top of his game; to always be two steps ahead of everybody else. When he's asked to do something, he will usually do it, no questions asked. He exceeds in tactical etiquettes, meaning that if you're on his team, you're as safe as you can be because he's willing to go through hundreds of different scenarios where your safety comes up over his own. "Where there's a will, there's a way".
People often think that Noa doesn't take things as serious as he should because he always has a quip ready for just about anything. But only Noa knows that that's a coping strategy to loosen up his brothers through times of hardships. Noa doesn't quite care what others think of him so long as he knows where he's headed and what kind of person he wants to be. He doesn't actively go out of his way to stir the pot but if a situation meets him at his front porch, he will not turn away from it either. He will always do his best and if he knows a battle is lost, he'll retreat knowing that at least he fought with honor.

background: Nokane is a native to Lu-Rix. In order to understand his place in life, I must first tell you aboutLu-Rix. Lu-Rix is one of the lost mythical cities located in a different dimension, much like ta-lo and k'un-lun. The gate to Lu-Rix is accessed in Richmond, ia once every year - though there are other ways to enter but only the cheif's family is aware of this entrance. Through the historical archives in Lu-Rix, the city has been around for tens and hundreds of centuries and the peoples of Lu-Rix get their spiritual energies from their deep connection to Lu-Rix's core. To the bone, Lu-Roiux are warriors. They spend their lifetimes training to defend their home and are threatened by new comers. The possibilitys of new comers raises the possibility of Lu-Rix to be discovered and experimented on. People would come and taint what they do not understand.
That's why it is absolutely forbiden to bring in new people without meeting the high-cheif firsthand.

Nokane was born to his mother and father, the cheif and cheiftess of the Lu-rix, coldriver warrior tribe. He was gifted a younger sister two years after his own birth, and he was tasked from a young age to always honor his bond with her because family was all that mattered. Their father, Chief Swiftwater, though cheif, was always absent because of his title; and it fell upon Nokane to be the man of his household when he was away. Nokane hadn't know then how toxic all that pressure was on him, but as the years trickled by, he came to know that all those years he spent over-training and over-working himself was not the way he should have done things. Taking care of his family was part of his responsibility, but the fact of the matter was, Kaya was not his responsibility. There was a degree where his care was supposed to stop. Whenever he brought that notion up to his father, he was a second away from being shunned; it was not the tribal way to be that open-minded.The tribe had their laws and anything other than that, was blasphemy, the way of the settlers. His father had told him that he was lucky that he was a chiefs son, other wise, he would have been shunned. Nokane wouldn't be the same after that. He wasn't going to be as reserved as he had been, instead, he decided that he'd be true to himself. If anything his father said was true, it was that he was a chief's son. He wouldn't be shunned because he was a chief's son. It was unheard of, for a chiefs son to be shunned because it would be an embarassment to the tribe.Nokane was going to test that notion, and test it he did.
Nokane was sent "on a special mission" outside of Lu-Rix to 'recruit poltential members'. The real reason he was sent away remained unsaid to the tribe. Nokane had a fall out with his father, the high chief, and Nokane didn't shy away from his true thoughts and passions. He was escorted out of Lu-Rix that night with only what was on his back. His father's men threw him two seperate duffel bags at the entrance. "You want to succumb to their whims, you can go live amongst them. If you come back, come back with your head clear." His father said and left him to himself, portal sealed for the year.
Nokane, now Noa took what was in his duffel bags and found ways to live off the earth. He lived loudly and freely, quickly making friends despite the one buzz-kill of the entourage, tierra. Cause she really knew how to kill the mood. Kol on the other hand was his wingman. The two of them getting into all sorts of trouble. It was sad to be away from Lu-Rix, but it was just as liberating to be on the outside. To live however he wanted to live. Until the blip, and he was gone.
current day: He's gone back to Lu-Rix, because after something so frightening and disorienting, when everything around you has changed, you can only go to your trusted ones for answers.He finds out that his sister is now older than him and that his father has passed, leaving the tribe in the care of his uncle, however by lu-rioux law, the train of command should be passed down to first born son, which was now him. In order to reclaim the title, he needed to challenge his uncle and survive. With the power of Lu-Rix surging through him, everything that he had missed about his home comes flooding in as well. He takes on his mantle and challenges his uncle, ookane. Despite favor being on Ookane's side, Nokane pulls through at the last second and rightfully takes back the chief title and begins to make the changes he sees fit for their tribe to flourish. The problem with the way his father ran things was that he was not willing to evolve, and now with somebody younger and innovative at the helm, possibilities would be endless, and things were definitely going to be changing for the better.

Kaya is Noa's younger sister, they're as thick as theives especially when they were younger. You wouldn't find one without the other and even though they can't always be attatched at the hip these days, that hasn't severed a strand of the relatiolnship between brother and sister. Family always comes first after all.

Kol is one of the first friends that Noa ever had. A permanent member of Noa's entourage, if you will. He's not originally of Lu-rix but he and his family were welcomed almost instantly. It is because on Kol's friendhip that Noa's survived more than a few times in battle.

the 'hates to be associated with him, but is around him 24/7' girl. Yeah. thats tierra. Some people say that she has a crush on him but that's stil here-say. She's never and will probably never say any such thing. The only reason she's around Noa is because she's armed, she's his security detail both in and out of lu-rix and wow, is Noa a handful. *rolls eyes* I feel you tee.

since his return to lu-rix, noa maintains a very close-knitted relation with ta-lo. he figures, might as well befriend the people there as their worlds are similar. to be honest, noa can use all the help he can take, and ta-lo is no exception.
k'un lun
one of the lost cities that noa has heard about over and over from several different peoples. his plan is to find it and find people who are willing to ally with him. they need to ban together to protect their worlds.

process: Noa was not born with powers, rather he borrows his powers from deep within his connection to nature. His community was entrusted with a relic, encapsulated fox fangs said to have belonged to their protector, a fox spirit named lumen. Although Lumen hasn't been seen for centuries, her spirit remains in the fox fangs, and only the chief of the tribe is allowed any type of contact to the artifact. The fox fangs that carry a portion of Lumen's powers aren't widely known in the community because nobody is supposed to know about it, the artifacts are passed down to the chief, and the chief alone. At this point, Noa doesn't know why it's been kept in the dark because after he brings the artifact public, the fangs begin to bond their spirit to Nokane's spiritual being. So, aside from the power he draws from nature, he has also gained the powers of the first kitsune, Lumen and her spirit as his guide. (I was thinking that since he's just gotten the fox fangs, this can all develop in the story.)

love story: they will meet in the story. perhaps one of them is assigned to meet up for a mission, and with neither having met before there's a whole lot of Noa asking questions, flirting and just generally trying to get under Yelena's skin but the whole time he's just so impressed by her and even thinks maybe theres a thing or two he can learn from her. They're from different worlds, yet they've come together and it can't be a mistake. So, he'll do whatever he can to impress her too, and hopefully things go accordingly.
I'd like to think that Yelena wouldn't easily open herself to Noa, but she'd at least be as friendly as she could be considering she's Yelena Belova.

+ here's hoping that you can kind of explore noa getting to know Lumen's abilities and figuring out the weaknesses as he goes along. Lumen's powers are brand new to him after all.
