3 days Hiking

Due to pandemic, we had not gone anywhere for a loooong time. But this time, we, me and my sister, decided to go for a short trip.

We made plans, our group of 16 people, started our journey early morning on 4th Nov.  It was my second time to Nagarkot, however it was refreshing! The feeling of being above cloud was awesome! We could see the entire Kathmandu valley from up there. The mountain range seemed so close, the view was jaw-dropping! At night, we had camp fire, barabeque, singing, dancing, games... it was super fun~

Next day, we woke up at 5:30 am to see the sunrise. We were freezing there but the Sun was testing our patience…haha

Finally, at around 6:11 am, the Sun had mercy on us and came up slowly~ The clouds seemed to be painted with the glorious light, the trees in the hills were shining, everything was captivating! Later we went to the Nagarkot View Tower and from there we could see the majesty of the nature!

We were super tired when we returned home but my mom told that we had to go to our Uncle’s home the very next day. I had an ugly scowl because it would be yet another hiking, as they live high up!

We were amazed to find that we still had energy to go short hiking up Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park…lol

We didn’t go all up till the 8,963 ft altitude, just about half way, maybe, but the view from there was thrilling!

Our family had great time there. We were running late while returning but glad that we stayed until dusk, seeing the night view from that height, it was mesmerizing! The entire city was glowing!
