seulhui is very different in person and on text/social media. she's very animated on her online profile while in person, she's much more reserved and quiet. part of this stems from being shy and from the fact that she doesn't want to cause unnecessary attention (ironically, she's a foodstagrammer). seulhui is very caring as she will always put others over herself — she finds more fulfillment knowing that her loved ones are okay and they're satisfied. she tends to ask her friends and family how their day is (she doesn't want to appear like she doesn't care). her love language is more on the acts of service and gift giving.
seulhui is rather sensitive and emotional. while she may seem like she understands her emotions, she doesn't. she tries to comprehend and think out why she feels this way (trying to be logical), she gets frustrated with her sensitivity and emotional side real quick (lowkey blames that side of herself a lot lmao). if anything, others might need to be patient with her and do some prying if you want to know her feelings as she doesn't want to burden others. she doesn't want to worry others so she keeps to herself (mostly the inner, deep secrets if you catch my drift). but if she keeps her feelings bottled up too long it'll eat her up, resulting to her having a very obvious bad day and mood. majority of her negative feelings comes from insecurities (not being the best, wondering when she'll disappoint others), a lot of negative young adult thoughts. pls be patient w her and love her.

BACKGROUND!
she was born on june 19 and started bae daehwan and kang yeonhui's life as parents. she had a normal life of maintaining good grades, having friends and of course, having a handful of crushes. by the time she entered high school she felt uncomfortable with her friends as she explored and learned more about her own interests and skills.
she ended up being more in love with anime and she became a tad bit more involved with the community as she would occassionally go to conventions. at one point she found the magical game category: boyfriend games. she didn't think much of it as it was just a visual novel. but during this time she felt less inclusive with her friends as seulhui remembered that her friends found her "weird" for liking something that wasn't related to their culture because "you can't understand what their saying, so why do you like it?" the last straw was when seulhui showed her friends pictures of food but they only said that taking photos of food is "dumb" and "unnecessary." but taking photos of food was a start of another hobby. since then she ended up keeping all of her interests to herself since she didn't want other people to think of her as weirdo for liking animes, boyfriend games, and taking photos of food. to this day, she keeps her interests to herself as only a small bunch of people know about her interests—this is possibly another reason why she feels like she doesn't have actual friends.

— hwang hyunjin, guy next door turned childhood friend. hyunjin and seulhui have an off and on friendship. their friendship tends to have pauses. not because of an argument or anything of that sort, it's just more like they got too busy with each other. they became friends when seulhui moved into the house next to his. they were a lot closer when they were kids but they have a special place in each other's hearts. probs the only friend that actually kinda understands seulhui. they only hit each other up when they're bored or when they want to catch up. they never really hang out with each other. will change this to a diff person if someone wants to use hyunjin as a character!
— lee somin + kang jihoon, shop owners at the flower shop (aka her bosses). seulhui is a bit close to them because of how long she's been working there. they view her as another daughter and are grateful with the amount of care seulhui puts into her work. it was originally a flower shop, and seulhui was originally a florist. however, the business for the shop would always fluctuate—business being better in the spring and summer due to the in-season flowers; while winter and fall was more rocky due to the cold, harsh weather. jihoon, the husband, decided that in order to keep their business afloat they had to make changes. somin, the wife, decided that they can try to make half of the building a lounge/cafe type of setting while the other half remained as a floral shop (because duh, they were near a college lol). fortunately, this was a successful business move for them because of the increase in sales due to the cafe part of the shop.

as a incoming first year student in college, seulhui realizes that she actually does not have a connection with her current friends. she notices how they don't respect her hobbies (liking boyfriend games and such). after confiding (and venting) with her childhood friend, he advises her to find new friends with this new opportunity (starting college). seulhui agrees with his advice but delays the situation a bit by giving her current friends a new chance to change. however, with her foodstagram growing (she still wants to continue this in college) and her social anxiety prevents her from actually eating out by herself (less food content ouch). she takes it in her hands to find other foodstagrammers in the same college as her to befriend. she makes it known in the beginning that they were more friends on the basis of just going to food places with each other. however, as time goes on, she realizes that she has fun with the foodstagrammers and enjoys their company. further developing an actual friendship with the other foodstagrammers.

jake and his friends tend to go out a lot and they make it a group outing when it's to visit a new place (restaurant, arcade, etc). his friends have no interest of going to a floral shop (bc boys lol), but they were a bit interested in going to the shop that seulhui works at due to the news that the shop had opened a lounge area and now served coffee and food. after sunoo had practically begged for his friends to go check it out (sunoo being a huge softie) with him, they decided to go to the cafe-flower shop to study as majority of them had exams to study for.
jake had met seulhui briefly on the day that his friends went to go check out the shop. it wasn't until after they left the store, at closing, that he realizes he has calculus with her. he decides to befriend her by sitting next to her in class the next day.
INTERACTIONS!
— during the days of calculus. so awkward. they were so awkward with each other. the poor aussie tried to talk to her but the florist didn't know how to respond back. most of her replies were curt and it made him feel awkward so he gave up that day. he tried again the next day, he got the same response: short and curt response. it wasn't until a week later he decides to give up. he decided to skip class in favor for hanging out with his friends. seulhui gives him a copy of her notes for him to copy (even though he doesn't need it because he's smart lol)
— actually friends? they talk mostly everyday about almost random things. he visits her while she works. sometimes he would drop by to pick up a quick coffee. most of the time he's there with his friends to grab a drink or to study with them. she gives him a friend discount whenever he comes in. he also gives her a discount when her friends and her hung out at the arcade he works at.
— talking phase/crushing. talk literally every ing day. all smiles, gets sad when they don't talk to each other. seulhui ends up overthinking a lot. but they are very happy when they text each other. jake brings her out on dates that he labels as "hang outs" instead of calling it an official date.
— dating. together most of the time. they don't realize how often they're with each other lol. they do try to find a balance of having alone time, being with each other, and being with their friends.
