Cheerful and optimistic: A happy energy ball, that's what Tuya generally is. She brings sunshine into the room with her endless positive energy and optimistic mindset. She struggled hard through this training process but she keeps fighting with that bright smile on her face because this is her dream. She always sees the positive side in things and is a glass half full kind of girl. This positive energy radiates onto her groupmates as well. It's infectious. This also shows in their performances and variety show appearances, she's always loud and fun and smiling brightly, think Dawon from SF9 energy.

Brave and persistent: This tiny one is surprisingly powerful. A lot of bravery locked into a tiny body. Tuya is not the one to get scared easily, and even if she gets scared, she doesn't run but faces her fears head first. From saving insects in the dorm that everyone else is screaming about to personally chasing away creepy men that are bothering her groupmates, Tuya does it all. People are often shocked to see how brave she actually is. Not only that, she's also very persistent. When she believes in something, she will stand by it strongly. It's a huge struggle to make this girl change her mind. When she has set a goal, she will work tirelessly to achieve it and won't stop until she does. While her persistency can be great, it sometimes becomes unreasonable and annoying. She lives by 'go hard or go home', but she goes too hard.

Clumsy and careless: despite her being such a positive girl, Tuya gets into trouble more often than not. Partly because of her lack of care. She bites off more than she can chew more often than not and that will get her into trouble. Those creepy men she tries to chase away? Sometimes they are too powerful for her but she doesn't care and keeps trying to fight them. That bravery she has makes her not overthink how dangerous some things can be, she just storms in head first without a second thought. No thoughts, head empty. That she's really clumsy doesn't help with it at all. Chasing after someone because they pissed her off but then she slams head first into a glass door? That's a very common occurence. Dropping things, flubbing moves, causing her to fall, burning the food that she's cooking or straight up dropping the pan on the ground... That's also Tuya. This makes people not take her too seriously even though she's so fierce, also because she's tiny.

Dishonest: more trouble comes her way with Tuya's tendency to lie. She can hate herself for this sometimes, but other times she doesn't see trouble in a little lie to help herself get out of a situation. This is the main reason why some people might not like her. She's dishonest. She lies. It's something that she needs to work on but doesn't. Her friends try to push her away from this habit, but it's a struggle. This is mostly small lies to get out of trouble, but she might just lie to you about her life as well.

Confrontational and competitive: even more trouble? Damn girl, for an optimistic one you're quite the delinquent. Tuya constantly seems like she'd be up to fight anything. Well... she is, actually, but that's besides the point. Tuya reacts heavily to criticism or views that are going against hers. Instead of discussing the differences like adults, she'll immediately act stand-offish, often unintentionally. She seems to get offended at people breathing in her direction, but that also fades away quickly because of her positive mindset. And oh boy, we got another competitive girlie over here. I swear, all of my sjlk characters are competitive, they will all fight, but yeah that's just how they are. Tuya will take on any challenge and will fight everything that moves. Wait scratch that, she'll also fight inanimate objects.

Loud: being both cheerful and confrontational combines into Tuya being quite the loud one. She often overtakes conversations by interrupting, often not realising that it would be rude. She just wants to have her say, you know? She naturally speaks loudly, she just grew up that way, her volume is always higher than other people. She actually can't whisper, so never take her on stealth missions. You always know where Tuya is by just listening carefully, cause she can be heard from far away. The best part of it is that her laugh is loud and funny and it's often used in variety shows to entertain people.

Altanbaataryn Enkhtuya was born in Mongolia's capital, Ulaanbaatar, as the youngest child of a family that was more on the upperclass side. Being on the richer side of the city made it quite easy for Tuya while growing up. She had both a big sister and brother to protect her, parents that were loving despite not being around as much because of their work, good education and a lot of friends. Yeah her life was pretty damn good, and that made the small child blissfully unaware of how the world works, and quite spoiled. Those things would both shape her personality, and bring her great shock in the future.

She discovered her love for music in her early childhood. Her big sister was big into music as well, so it got fed to her with a spoon, basically. While her sister, who's 11 years older than her, prepared to try and take Mongolia with her songs, Tuya had her eyes on a different country. Her parents put her in dance and vocal class to explore her talent, thinking that she might also be able to become a star in the already star-studded family. Her parents might have been upper class already, her siblings made the family one of the best known in Mongolia. Little Tuya was the only one for a while that wasn't really bringing anything in, but she knew what she was doing, or did she?

The country Tuya was aiming to conquer was South Korea. Kpop's growing influence in Mongolia was clear, and it also got to Tuya through the way of her best friend, showing her a girl group he liked. It was Apink, and both of them were 12 at the time. Tuya immediately became hooked, and even had an embarassing koreaboo era. She luckily moved past that after a year or so, and laughs about it now, but she still had the kpop virus in her. Her dance class was also starting to teach some kpop choreographies. Tuya was going to become the first mongolian kpop idol, that was her ultimate goal, and she was going to work her off to do it. She started to train more specifically for kpop in preparation to go to South Korea once she got a bit older. Tuya put herself into the public spotlight for the first time by participating in the very first season of Mongolia's got talent, by covering kpop songs. She was an all-rounded talent, and while she didnt get close to the finals, she still made her mark. So far her life had been really good, but when she moved to korea after passing a global SM audition, Tuya was met with a big culture shock.

For the young girl that had always been blissfully unaware of struggles in the world, kpop had always been all rainbows and sunshine. So she expected training to be rainbows and sunshine as well. She thought she was a kpop expert, but turns out she really was a kpop noob. Once she started training in SM entertainment she realised how hard it was to make it as a kpop start, and she almost left to go back to Mongolia, but then she decided to keep fighting and try her best to achieve her goal of becoming the first Mongolian kpop star. The Altanbaataryn family was too good to only be known in their own country. Tuya was aiming for South Korea, then the rest of Asia, then worldwide, and surpass her siblings.

TRAINING 

▸ [ 2015: spotlight, here I come! ]  

   -- Tuya's first time in the spotlight was when she entered Mongolia's got talent as kpop cover artist. While she was liked and considered a good competitor, she wasn't original enough to go all the way. But she still got some fame from it. Afterwards, Tuya started posting kpop covers on her social media, which got her more attention. She was a member of stan communities on social media before starting her training. The fact that she had famous older siblings also helped her with gaining her first fame.

▸ [ November 2016: wait... what? ]  

   -- Tuya was extatic when she found out she was selected as SM trainee, and packed her bags to move to South Korea. She was finally getting closer to her dream. She expected smooth sailing from here, so when she first got into contact with the strict training, dieting and protocol, it was a big shock for Tuya. She was this close to just noping out of there, but she realised that this is her dream, her goal, and she shouldn't just quit because its harder than she expected. It was very hard to adjust at first, and other trainees had to help Tuya out to get her used to the kpop training scene. She pulled through though, and used her positive energy to keep her and the others going. She wasn't going to give up her dream of becoming the first Mongolian kpop idol this easily. Her determination and all-round skills and talent got her recognition. Even though she was met by some racism by others. If she wasn't this talented she wouldn't have had a chance as Mongolian, but Tuya was unaware of that. There was a lot of talk behind her back, but there was one staff member that was really fond of her and was closely watching her development.

▸ [ March 2018: SJLK? Is this some sort of exclusive group? Cool! ]  

   -- The person that had his eye on Tuya was the SJLK dance trainer, Sam Lee. He had helped her out a lot with development as trainee and the language barrier. Naturally, Sam was the one that suggested Tuya for the SJLK program. Madame Kang had never really paid attention to Tuya before this, but after Sam Lee suggested her at the start of the program, she was positively surprised while observing Tuya train with the regular trainees. She stood out, grabbed attention with whatever she did, she was center material. Madame Kang was sold. She also knew that Tuya's unawareness and naive view on kpop could be an advantage to shape her into the exact center Madame Kang wanted. When she snatched Tuya for SJLK, Tuya's first words were: 'Is this some exclusive group? That's exciting!' Oh poor girl, if you only knew how hard it would get.

When training became even harder than before, right when Tuya thought she got the hang of it, she was just as surprised as the first time. Oh sweetie, you're so naive, it's cute. But this girl is fierce and has her eyes on the goal, so she told herself to keep going for just a bit more, and she will debut and achieve that goal. She was going to show Madame Kang who's boss. While Madame Kang expected her to just be an obedient naive child, Tuya was surprisingly hard to deal with, but never hard enough to actually throw her out of the program.

▸ [ SNS? No? I'm not on stan twitter, not at all! ]  

   -- When Sam told her she was joining SNS, this was what Tuya said. She completely misunderstood. Sam totally knows that she's on stan twitter and had a chuckle at Tuya's innocent lying reaction. No, silly goose, you're debuting in the group SNS. When Tuya finally understood, she jumped so high from excitement that even Sam was surprised. Her goal was going to be achieved, and Tuya's first reaction was to think of what goal to put next. They didn't even debut yet, and Tuya was already announcing that SNS was going to go worldwide. Hold on girl, you're ahead of things. Her happiness was a joy to watch. She was going to be a great center for SNS, she was determined to do so.

She's flexible in concepts as well but excels at the cutesy energetic songs that have some edge to it. She is able to attract anyone to SNS and Sweetz and grab their attention.

▸ TRAINING TRIVIA

   --   koreaboo   Tuya openly jokes about her old era as koreaboo from when she was 14 years old. While the korean trainees were quite confused at first about her being so open about her embarassing era, they started to see the fun in it too and now they joke about it together and poke innocent fun at Tuya's worst era and love to bring it up to make her both cringe and laugh.

   --   has a lot to say, but can't   Tuya is always up to say what's on her mind, but the language barrier tends to be in the way. In a lot of the trainee videos she's out there trying to express her opinions loudly and suddenly she'd go blank trying to figure out what to say in Korean. It's always funny to watch her suddenly stop and look like she's a malfunctioning robot.

   --   first mongolian   A returning topic around Tuya is how she's the first mongolian set to debut in a kpop group. She is very proud of the fact, but it does get met with some racism, even from her own fellow trainees and staff sometimes, but that mostly happens behind her back. It's still a sad thing that this has to happen in these modern times.

   --   totally clueless   Tuya really doesn't know that much of kpop at all. Whenever the others make a common kpop joke or reference, she is completely clueless about it. Now the other trainees do it often to prank her and try to make her believe total lies like kpop idols are forbidden to ever mention other groups and that she isn't allowed to interact with male idols ever, even MLSM. They constantly take advantage of this and poor Tuya is just so gullible.

Narangerel is the oldest sibling of the family, and the most famous (for now). A sweet and mature older sister that also loves to crack jokes and little siblings. She warned Tuya of the harsh kpop world but Tuya didn't listen to her warnings. She's watching from afar while being one of mongolia's top artists. She often sends Tuya and SNS gifts and spoils her little sister way too much. While Tuya loves her, she's closer with her brother.

Tuya is way closer in personality with her brother compared to her sister. He might still be much older than her, these two are very close. Batbayar is a loud, mischievious problem child. He's a rapper in Mongolia, and Tuya got a lot of her rapping from him. Yeah, this family is filled with stars. While Batbayar might spoil Tuya less than Narangerel does, they just fit together when it comes to personality. He often encourages Tuya to cause trouble just like him. While Narangerel was spoiling little Tuya, Batbayar was teaching her russian curse words.

Tuya's bestie since childhood. A Korean boy growing up in Mongolia and being Tuya's classmate since kindergarten. He was the one introducing her to kpop and who made the ball rolling. They're a tag team, yin and yang. He's the soft sweetheart and she's the loud crazy one. They know each other through and through. Tuya went to Korea first and Minjoon would follow a few years later because he wanted to study and establish himself in his homecountry instead of Mongolia. Tuya was super excited when she heard that he'd also move to Seoul, she could meet her bestie again and he could help her out with getting adjusted to Korea.

FLY 

Look at this soft mom, look at this sweetheart. While Tuya is often too much for Fly, she really likes him. But because of her loud personality it's a bit one-sided, even though he still likes her as well, just less? She openly and loudly calls him mom, even though she's not one of the touchy cuddly children. Since Tuya has some sort of rivalry with Mystic, she uses Fly often to and Fly complies every time cause he also loves teasing Mystic.

 

     

MYSTIC 

Look at that, Mystic got another rival. They have quite the but its often Tuya that's teasing Mystic and beating him with their competitive antics. She often calls him nerd, booger or dummy, and while it makes Mystic grumpy, he really doesn't mind her at all. They have a fun cat and mouse relationship but in the end they get along really well.

 

     

MARELAINE 

Another cat and mouse dynamic. Marelaine and Tuya are constantly competing, trying to one up each other and playing around. But they're great buddies and also love to team up to go against others. Like they are rivals, but teammates once they go against a common rival like Mystic. Everyone against Mystic.

 

     

JASPER 

One of Tuya's best buddies outside of SNS. Their loud personalities mesh together really well and amplify each other. They're always yelling together, laughing and having fun. They're really sweet friends but so painful for people's ears, rip.

 

     

SAMMY SAM SAM 

the staff member that had his eye on Tuya. Sam saw Tuya's potential since the beginning and looked past her race to see the absolute skill she has. Because of him, Tuya is able to debut in SNS now and she is eternally thankful for that. She's not always too formal with him which he often scolds her about. She loves calling him Sammy sam sam and dancing around him. But in the end Sam is proud of her, and considers Tuya his exclusive trainee, because he's the one that gave her a chance.

 

     

TANO 

While Tuya doesn't really get into contact with Tano, because he's part of the japanese team, she really has a soft spot for him. She finds him very charismatic and good-looking so she's kinda rlly weak and obedient. It's like a platonic one-sided teenage crush, admiration, oh god he's so cute kinda vibe. Tano is cool with it.

 

    

HANANA 

Hanana banana, as Tuya calls her, is a groupmate of Tuya. They get along quite well as sweetz groupmates and have a lot of fun together. But sometimes Hana gets mad at Tuya, because she still isn't really used to Tuya's loud and lying antics.

Jaehyuk is the kind of personality that Tuya really appreciates and gets along with. He's kind of similar to her bestie, actually. He's a soft sweetheart, has big puppy energy, but is also a big jokester and mischievious. He doesn't really have Tuya's loud, overwhelming energy, but they share the same sense of humor and they always laugh together and enjoy themselves. He's always very sweet and caring towards Tuya, even when she's out there misbehaving. He's good at keeping her down and stopping her from getting into trouble. I mean, ever since she met him, her lying has toned down a lot and she has become more enjoyable towards others as well.

He's very quiet compared to Tuya, despite him also being a jokester. He tends to be reserved and doesn't really expose that much of his personal life. He's also extremely indecisive, about the smallest things even. It's a pain to go to a restaurant with him because he will never be able to decide what food to eat, and Tuya often has to just decide for him. Sometimes he also disappoints himself by having expectations that are impossibly high. One thing that causes struggle between him and Tuya is that he greatly dislikes conflict and really wants to avoid it, while Tuya constantly gets herself into trouble, either on purpose or unintentionally. This can cause fights between them. Not everything is all sweet and rainbows between them
 

love story 

This story is actually quite dumb and the other members will recall it fondly in the future. It all started out at the Inkigayo cafetaria with Tuya not knowing another very obvious reference in kpop. Maybe you know where this is going already?

SNS were having a snack at Inkigayo during one of their early promotions that was happening simultaneously with Treasure's promotions. SNS was getting a snack, and Tuya was still contemplating on what to eat when a sandwich was shoved into her hands. She didn't even really notice who the guy was, because he just bolted away. Her groupmates were already nudging each other and grinning, but Tuya herself was not really getting it. A sandwich? What kind of sandwich is this? Why did she just get a sandwich? Hana told her, in between grins, that it was the iconic Inkigayo sandwich, and that it's really good and she should totally eat it. Tuya was clueless and took a big bite, before spitting it right back out.

"What is this? It's disgusting!" Tuya whined, but then she noticed the reason why the sandwich was tasting weird. She pulled out a piece of paper from in between the sandwich. Tuya had a sour expression, but the rest of SNS was having the time of their lives. They knew perfectly what was going on, but Tuya was completely unaware, while opening the paper, still looking very sour. On the paper was a telephone number. "What is this? A phone number? Why?"

The SNS members looked at her with mouths wide open. "You call yourself a kpop expert, was even a koreaboo, and you don't know the inkigayo sandwich?" One of them said in disbelief. Tuya shook her head, she really didn't know the Inkigayo Sandwich. "Who gave me this number?" She asked, and the other members all pointed towards one kid sitting at Treasure's table, who ducked away when he saw all of their eyes on him. Tuya stood up immediately. "He's cute, I guess I'll give it a try."

She didn't even leave the table yet before some SNS members were already trying to hold her back, while others were laughing in delight, having the time of their lives. "No! Don't do it! There's a dating ban!" Marelaine yelled while holding onto her. One of the others that was just watching laughed and commented, "Marelaine, you have dated like three guys during this time, you don't get to comment." Which resulted into Marelaine hushing her, they were in a crowded cafetaria after all. It was quite a scene and everyone that was there at that moment still remembers it fondly. After some struggling and squirming, Tuya escaped from the grasp of her teammates that didn't want her to go off and possibly start a scandal. She wanted to try and meet this cutie, she was going to do it. She marched towards Jaehyuk, who gave her a nervous puppy look. Half of treasure and sns were cheering, the other half was yelling for them to stop cause this could easily just be revealed to the world. Tuya looked serious for a moment, but then smiled brightly and said "I'm Enkhtuya! Let's get some boba sometime?"

Since they're careful and very busy, it's been going really slow between them, but they ended up getting along really well from their first boba date until now, even though they sometimes have their fights. But they're lovey doveys and their groups are both supportive and scared for their growing connection.

Tuya will definitely have a solo career, but since she is the center, she will mainly be asked to do reality shows, variety shows and CFs. She usually has a lot of fun on the shows and she will participate in shows like law of the jungle. She's often pushed forward as the center but at the same time she doesn't always get the same opportunities as others because of her ethnicity. She will also do some promos in Mongolia to attract more fans from her homecountry.

[  Zurheer min hairla  ] -- Her most popular song up to date, a lot of people's favourite song of hers as well.

[  One love  ] -- For this song, she teamed up with another SNS member to release a duo song. This was meant to bring SNS more to the Mongolian public.

[  Bremba  ] -- Technically this isn't Tuya's song, but she featured in it. A funky, fun song by indie band The SHOM. (I find the main guy so handsome but he barely has pics so couldnt use him in anything rip)
