TADA! Here is the sneak preview of my book cover! Yes, it is a commission original book cover! Yes, the pre-order is live as well! Yes, I will elaborate more on the content of the published version below!

About the book: 

So firstly, since Scarlet Dandelions began as a fanfiction, starring Seungwan (Wendy) and Joohyun (Irene) as the main characters, I tweaked the main characters' name to become Wanwan and Yexuan respectively. All other characters' names have also been changed so you can look forward to them. 

Next, about the content of the story, the plotline has remained largely unchanged but the scenes have been heavily edited to include more details (be it with regards to the characters' inner voice, descriptions, and interactions). Wordcount, as far as I have calculated for the first part of this book has increased by more than 50%. Yes, it was shocking even for me because there were a lot of learnings for myself. What I mean is... the technique that is employed to write fanfic was slightly different for that of an official original novel. I included a little more character details about Wanwan and Yexuan, more explanations of their backstories, and also a lot more... innervoice to illustrate their character development all while building up the plot. I was super super super excited and got caught up in developing the relationships of the characters that at times I confuse the fanfiction characters' names with this new novel (believe me, I had to do ctrl+f a few times to make sure that I did not accidentally type Seungwan and Joohyun)

About the Book cover/Character design: 

As mentioned earlier, this novel was inspired by my love for Wendy and Irene so naturally, my character designs was inspired based on them. However, I was shocked to find out that Wanwan who is in blue turned out to look a little more like Joohyun whilst Yexuan who is in pink looks more like Seungwan... Goodness, I could not unsee this when I first realised and did some comparisons. I mean when I was getting help from the graphic designer to do the cover, I did send him a slide brief and well... just let my graphic artist do his own magic... 

It was pretty magical isn't it? I mean I don't know if you guys might take to it but I personally am loving it (the designer probably thought Seungwan and Joohyun really looked like each other too)... given that I have paid quite a bit of $$. Yes, I think this writing hobby of mine can become pretty expensive but I simply cannot pass up on graphics >< it is money well spent :) 

In summary: 

Finally, all I want to say is that... I am so so so thankful to all the readers of Scarlet Dandelions and for the constant encouragement in the form of comments or view counts. There are definitely ways that I can polish this story even more, in terms of my writing technique, plotline, etc and I will definitely learn along the way. This is simply a start for me :)

So... would really appreciate if you guys are keen to pre-order this ebook. The length of the novel is approximately 75k-80k words. And the price of the ebook is USD 2.99. In case you guys are wondering if I think the cost of publishing/ producing this book can be covered, then my honest answer is a no. Writing remains a hobby to me and I do not want to over-commercialise my craft. Do continue to give me feedback on how I can improve, given how this story is still ongoing and that there is still some time until the book is finalised
