FASHION STYLE :

— she prefers to wear simple clothes like jeans and a shirt; she really likes canvas shoes like converse and vans and absolutely hates sandals; she wears combat boots or furry boots when it's cold, and she just throws on a sweater/coat over her jeans and shirt and that'll be it; she also doesn't like to wear bright color and sticks with black/gray/white or pastels for her color scheme; also, she wears long underwear (thermal underwear?) during the winter which makes the other members for being such a grandma

gyeoul is a friendly person. she genuinely cares about people, no matter who, and is always willing to help them with their troubles or struggles if she can. she’s empathetic and understands, to some extent, what many people are going through and often tries to make other people feel better. she also has a knack for noticing things that other people might not, like body language and tone inflections, which causes her to understand how someone is feeling at some point in time. she also is not the type to just abandon someone close to her; if she's made a promise, she will follow through no matter what, and she'll do her part to the best of her abilities. she doesn't know the definition of 'giving up' and will always put forth her best effort into anything she does.

however, she is sensitive about criticism and comments about herself, and in particular, she dislikes being told that she’s wrong. she tries not to be the mood spoiler, but oftentimes, she'll just wake up on the wrong side of the bed and snap at people who approach her. other times, she'll have a pessimistic outlook on life that makes everyone around her feel terrible. having grown up as the younger twin, she can also be selfish and naive. of course she knows that she should be caring, but her priority is still herself and her own feelings/wellbeing. she sometimes focuses on herself so much that it causes arguments with other members. she also gets scammed a lot, since she doesn't realize that sometimes life is just out to get her and other people are mean. she believes that the world is generally good, and is often sorely disappointed when life doesn't turn out as such.

gyeoul is very lively and spirited. when she’s in a good mood, she’ll often be the moodmaker, and in school, she was the class clown. she didn’t have super good grades, but everyone knew her and most people liked her, so she had a lot of friends. she’s also been told that she’s a motor mouth and that's why she's a rapper. gyeoul does talk a lot, and she does know when she gets annoying, but she just has a lot to say and wants to express her opinions. also, sometimes it helps her process her thoughts if she speaks out loud.

BACKGROUND : (the first paragraph is basically the same as gaeul's so you can skip it if you want)

growing up, gaeul and gyeoul were just average. they came from an average family with parents who did average-paying jobs, their grades were average and decent enough to get into a normal college, and they thought that's what their lives would be like forever. now, gaeul didn’t mind that; she was content to just go to college, meet a nice boy and start a family, and be a normal hardworking average person. but gyeoul was ambitious. she didn’t want to be stuck in a boring normal life forever. she wanted to explore the world, interact with it as much as she could, leave an impression on some people, and that's how they ended up auditioning for sunlight ent.

speaking of gaeul, gyeoul really appreciates having her sister by her side through the harsh training. since they're twins, they’ve never been apart for more than three days (school trips) and gyeoul certainly wouldn’t want to be separated now. but there’s just one problem—gaeul is quieter and calmer than gyeoul, who tends to be all over the place, so their parents liked to call gaeul the 'good daughter' and they called gyeoul the ‘spunky one’. but gyeoul wants to be called a good daughter too :( so as a result, gyeoul always resented her sister a little bit, but she never let her sister know because their sisterly relationship was much more important than some petty jealousy.

they used to be best friends, doing everything together, even training together to become part of adore. however, when gaeul was suddenly selected to be a part of necalli instead, their relationship fell apart since gyeoul was jealous. but after gyeoul debuted in adore and calmed down a bit, she began to miss her sister. but she's still very prideful and doesn't admit that she wants to make up.

they met when gyeoul attended produce48. though gyeoul was eliminated early on, they remained close and often teach each other their native languages. through juri, gyeoul became friends with the other rocket punch members too, although juri is probably still her closest friend.

of course there are younger members, but hyebin is gyeoul's baby. their personalities are very similar and hyebin reminds gyeoul of a younger herself, so she often babies her. sometimes hyebin gets in trouble and gyeoul will be the first one to step up and take responsibility.

TRAINEE LIFE  : 

— she and gaeul learned about the company right after it was established, and at the time, they were barely 18 and hadn’t applied to college yet, so they planned to audition as a joke. neither of them were really serious about this audition since they didn’t think they would get in, but things changed after they did. the ceo told them quite bluntly that they got in not because of their talent but because they were young and fresh and pretty. this made gyeoul mad because even though she really didn’t have any experience, she Did have pride, so she worked super extra hard when practicing singing and dancing in order to show the ceo that he was wrong >:(

— gyeoul always worked super hard to improve her skills and was dubbed a rapping natural, so it only made sense that sunlight would send gyeoul to compete in produce48 in 2018. she took this as a confirmation of her skills and worked even harder than before. she tried her best, but unfortunately, gyeoul was eliminated at the end of episode 5. after this, she was depressed for a while but eventually accepted this as just the first of many roadblocks that she’ll experience in this industry. then, she worked even harder to gain a spot in adore along with gaeul.

— however, to her surprise, her sister ended up debuting first in necalli. her own sister! gyeoul felt angry and betrayed and closed herself off after telling gaeul that she never wanted to talk to her again. all she thought about in those days was training, and she frequently pushed herself to the point of exhaustion where the other trainees (her future members) would be worried about her. she finally stopped working quite so hard after a scare where she fainted dead away in the middle of practice, but her efforts were worth it since she ended up scoring a spot in adore.
