My Top 100 Kpop Songs of 2020
As always, this was harder than I thought it would be. I thought that I would have a relatively easy time with this for 2020 but I had a very weird relationship with a lot of the songs on this list? Like there are songs that I thought would feature really close to the top but as the year progressed, I fell out of love with them. And then other releases in December hit me so hard, they suddenly soared up the list.
Quick disclaimer: This is just my personal opinion, you're free to disagree or agree with any placements on this list. And whilst I might listen to a lot of kpop, I do miss releases no matter how "big" they might be.
Before I start the list I just wanted to clarify my criteria for the songs on the list. The song had to have an accompanying mv of some sort (didn't have to be from an album but it needed an mv) Notable exceptions because of this rule are Noid by Woodz, Love Again by Baekhyun and practically all of Suho's Self Portrait album. The song had to be mainly sung in Korean (I was kinda harsh about this rule). Notable exceptions because of this rule are Lit by Lay, Dynamite by BTS, One by SuperM and My Love by NEXT. And obviously, the song itself (not the teasers, or anything related to the song) had to be released between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020 (I discovered a fair few songs from 2019 that I hadn't listened to until this year and am very disappointed I couldn't list them here).
