I like to think of all unfinished or one chaptered stories as a t.v shows that never got renewed.

One chapter = pilot episode

A few chapters = season one. Most likely no season two

A lot of chapters but nothing recently = Show was canceled

A good plot with a lot of chapters but the end was hmmm = Basically the ending of game of thrones, gossip girl, pretty little liars, supernatural, sherlock, etc. 

An all-around good story = underrated good show that will be famous 20 years later

An ehh story= Current top spot sensation. Everyone will love this. MASS PRODUCE THIS!
