Tales After Dark - 10th Anniversary Special

As a young girl, I grew up listening to fairytales and terrified of scary movies, but slowly I realised that some of the real fairytale story origins have some gothic or grim element which was kept away from us (for example Disney Movies). As soon as I started to watch scary movies in different sub genres, the one that stood out for me were the fairytale based horror movies which had elements of beauty, innocence and morals but also the underlining terror that comes underneath it all.

In celebration of my 10th Anniversary as an AFF author, the new season of Tales After Dark will feature few well known and underrated fairytales but with a modern twist which was inspired by the show, Tell Me A Story. What will be different is that it will feature 4 stories in this season instead of the usual 3 stories. Here is the sneak peak of the stories below:

Tales After Dark (Fairytales Of Horror)

1. Kriss Kross - A mashup of The Prince & The Pauper and Strangers On a Train, with a slasher element.

2. A Dead Woman's Shoes - The Red Shoes reimagined as a psychological horror with a mind bending twist.

3. Night Terrors - Sleeping Beauty reimagined as a supernatural horror within a hospital.

4. Eyes Without A Face - The Nightingale reimagined as a gothic horror involving murders and madness.
