Jangmi is a curious and loving person. most would describe her as sweet and always happy. anyone that she comes across would instantly remember the bright smile she greeted them with. most people would think she's still in highschool because she just gives off that innocent aura. she's a friendly person and liked by many people, just lights up any room she goes into with her positive energy. when she's happy she's really happy, giggly and goofy always trying to bring up her friends moods and make them laugh.
no one ever has a problem with her because she isn't a problematic person. she likes to gossip and know the latest drama but not in a fake way, she doesn't purposely talk to people to find out their tea and then spill it. she just talks about what she over hears like any other group of teenage girls.

BACKGROUND
Jangmi was born into a well off family. with her mom being a journalist and her dad being a consultant, she was able to grow up in an affluent neighborhood in seoul and spend her holidays traveling the world with her family. her parents were busy, especially her dad who would leave for weeks on end. but her mom still managed to be strict and overbearing. she was respected in the journalism industry so she had to look good all the time, any bad action Jangmi did would look bad on her too. luckily Jangmi was a good child, she never stepped out of line. though she would protest at times she never fought or disobeyed her mother in the end.
at school Jangmi was like any other kid, she got good grades and was well liked. she kept the same group of friends since middle school, they liked to gossip and had a little drama from time to time but it was never anything huge. whenever Jangmi was going through something with her friends she didn't feel that she could fully talk to her mother about it. instead of giving her advice on how to fix the situation she'd be focused on the fact that one of her friends is kissing boys at such a young age and tell Jangmi not to do the same. completely missing the point of the story.
Jangmi actually never dated anyone. she was excited to get asked out in highschool by a cute guy in her class. the first person she wanted to tell was her mom but she told her that she's too young to date. she even went as far to tell the principal that the boy was trying to date Jangmi, complaining that school isn't for dating but for learning and it's inappropriate. the parents association had a whole meeting and there was an assembly at school all because of her. needless to say the guy never talked to her again and everyone found out about it. it embarrassed the hell out of Jangmi to say the least and her friends still make fun of her for it today, especially minseo. that was Jangmi's first and last experience with getting a possible boyfriend.
as for her interests, Jangmi got into in middle school. all her friends loved kpop, especially boy groups and shipping the members turned into a love for and fanfiction. at first she would read it and fangirl over it with her friends the next day but after she started writing her own too. she was always good at writing, in class essays or any kind of essay for that matter was always an easy A for her. her career as lovepinky02 aka pinky started in her final year of middle school. she wrote a short fluffy yoonmin fanfic that got 200 subscribers. that gave her the confidence to write more. her next story was a 15 chapter highschool drama chanbaek fic that had all the fluffy and angst of actual highschool that garnished 768 subscribers. for a while she just did oneshots after that, exams and school got the best of her but she wanted to put the short stories she wrote during class out there for her fans to read.
during her final year of highschool she started writing a collegeau oc x jungkook fanfic about a popular guy that falls for a the quiet girl. it's her first fanfic that isn't and the story has all the cringe and squeal worthy moments you'd think it would have. it's the first time she's written y scenes too. she tries to update once a week but life isn't always friendly though her readers are! she has 2,305 subscribers on it at the moment and is still working on it. her friends read it and look forward to the updates while her mom has no idea of the pinky identity. she hides it from her because she already knows what her mom would say, especially about her latest story. the summer of 2021 she went on hiatus because of her travels but she's been writing in her notes app on her phone.
since writing is her main passion, she's going to yonsei as a communications major in the fall. her mom wants her to be a journalist like her but she's much rather lean more towards creative writing. though she'll never confess that to her mom.

MORNING ROUTINE 🌸 Jangmi wakes up at 7:00 to the smell of her mom cooking breakfast. sometimes she'll help her if she's running behind but by the time she’s in the kitchen it’s usually done. then she gets ready for her day and leaves the house by 8:00. she gets driven to school everyday unless her mom has to go to work earlier, Jangmi never refused a ride from her mom before. she just sits in front of her classroom until the door opens unless her class starts at 10:00 then she sits at the last table on the right at the library with her friends until its time to go to class.
FREE TIME 🌸 Jangmi spends all her free time with her friends. whether it’s attempting to study at the library or at get well soon coffee. either way she’s never alone for more than an hour during her free time because at least one of her friends are always available. if no one was available she’d probably go to get well soon and work on her fanfic or catch up on any club activities.
CREATIVE WRITING CLUB 🌸 Jangmi was hesitant about joining this club because creative writing has been something she hid behind a screen. it’s the first time she joined an in person club. usually they come up with a prompt or topic and that’s what everyone writes about, then they share it at the club meeting the following week and give each other feedback. on the first Wednesday of every month they have free writing meaning that everyone writes whatever they want and share it. the club has a short story contest at the end of the year too that Jangmi is excited to apply for.
INTERNSHIP 🌸 Jangmi has an internship at a well known news company. she usually helps take on projects such as conducting interviews, uploading website content and managing the company’s social media accounts. sometimes she'll write articles and have them proof read before they're uploaded. sometimes if there's a lot to do and they need her as an assistant for interviews and research she'll work on saturdays too. it's the perfect internship to get a job in journalism like her mom wants her to but she doesn't really like it. her mom got her that internship and she should be happy since its very selective. but she would rather intern at a book publishing company or for an author instead.
CURFEW 🌸 Jangmi’s curfew is 6pm but being late is never a problem for her because her mom picks her up everyday at the same spot. her mom likes to have her home by dinner because she likes to eat together and talk about each other’s day. since Jangmi’s dad isn’t always around, it makes her feel less lonely. she also doesn’t like Jangmi being outside past dark since it can be dangerous. if she does eat dinner with the club instead her mom will gladly wait to pick her up from there.
NIGHT ROUTINE 🌸 Jangmi studies for 3 hours everyday. after that she’d work on her fanfic or watch a kdrama for an hour if she’s not too tired. while doing that she wears a face mask to keep away the pimples and wrinkles. she almost always is in bed before 12am. her mom leaves a cup of milk for her to drink before she sleeps and goes in her room to say goodnight with a peck on the head too.

during the end of the school year Jangmi saw a post on yonsei's official instagram page about freshman introducing themselves in the comments to make friends. she did it not thinking she'll get a reply but a few days later she got a dm from kwon dantae, a fellow upcoming freshman. he introduced himself and their awkward small talk turned into late night phone calls and videochats showing him the scenery of thailand. he was the first person he said good morning to and the last person he said goodnight to the whole summer. talking to him made her happy, she told her friends about him and they were happy for her too. he asked her out a month before school was to start and they've been sending virtual kisses to each other everyday. they never had the chance to meet in person but they're both excited for that day to come. dantae talks a lot in texts but in real life he's more quiet and awkwkard. he's a sweet kid that's likely to go with what others say since he doesn't like confrontation. he isn't the kind to say his deep thoughts, instead he's agreeable. Jangmi likes that he read her story and listen to her fangirl about male idols or all the things she wants to do wit him. he'll smille and say he's excited but truly he's just saying what she wants to hear.

🌸 Jangmi starts off as an innocent and sweet girl. she's idealistic about love because of the kind of stories she writes and reads. so when going into college she's excited to have fun and finally meet dantae so he can be her adorable first love that she always dreamed of. he's cute and cheesy crossing off all the boxes that she talked about to him all summer. she tells her friends and they all fangirl over how cute they are and how tall he is. she's just enjoying her college with making new friends, hanging with old ones, and being apart of the creative writing club. she auditioned for the kpop dance club but didn't get in because she has two left feet. so instead she helps set up cup sleeve events for different groups she likes on her spare time.
🌸 the main turning point is after her and dantae's first time together. it wasn't as romantic as she dreamed it would be and when she woke up he was nowhere to be found. she tried to call him that morning but the robotic voice said his number was unavailable. even at school when she saw him he walked past her without even glancing. everything became so different overnight and so did she, usually loud and bright she's suddenly quiet and distant. her friends notice the change but she just comes up with excuses for it like she's been fighting with dantae or her mom was extra annoying that morning. but all she can think about is that night and wonder what she did wrong.
🌸 to make it worse, she misses her period and finds out she's pregnant. she doesn't have anyone to talk to and is terrified. her mom is uptight and didn't even know about him, and she's too ashamed to tell her friends because they always gossiped about people in her situation. she loses motivation to write, her grades go down too, it affects her relationship with those around her because she's more irritable.
🌸 when faced with conflict Jangmi likes to figure out how to deal with it on her own and she usually can. but when she's already stressed out with 10 other things she might lash out at the person instead, especially if she's tired of their . she doesn't mind speaking up for herself when she has to and is rarely disrespectful about it.
🌸 a lot of the story would be her dealing with pregnancy and trying to hide it while also going through her regular life, eventually with the help of hyeyoung. she still has to get good grades, go to the internship, prepare for the creative writing contest and somehow find motivation to continue writing her fanfic. but its hard to hide when she's so moody, has morning sickness, cravings, and her stomach is only getting bigger. she can't hide it forever, especially with how controlling her mom is (which is getting on her last nerve). though the biggest decision she has to make is if she wants to get rid of it or not. in the end if she decides to keep the baby is up to you, the ending to her relationship with hyeyoung is also up to you.

THE STORY Jangmi and hyeyoung met in middle school, they were in the same class and became friends along with minseo and seulri. they were like any other group of friends, they hung out whenever they could and had sleepovers at each other’s houses. their friendship was normal, hyeyoung fangirled with them over boy groups and so Jangmi never thought she was anything but straight. though the whole time she had a crush on Jangmi, she was just good at hiding it. whenever they gossip or talk about boys, hyeyoung went along with it because it makes Jangmi happy and seeing her smile makes hyeyoung happy. whenever Jangmi went through something with her mom or anyone hyeyoung tend to take her side but as her best friend it wasn’t questioned.
when Jangmi got her first boyfriend the summer of 2021, hyeyoung was happy for her because she seemed so excited. she was willing to put her feelings aside for Jangmi’s happiness, she knew she was straight anyways so she didn’t even try to confess anything. she would just… live with it. hyeyoung was the biggest daetae supporter though and she truly meant it when she said she was happy for her.
but after dantae did her dirty and she found out she was pregnant, Jangmi changed a lot. unable to see her friend stay like that hyeyoung steps up to help her and refuses to take no for an answer. they hang out a lot more together because hyeyoung is the only other person to know her secret. having someone to go through it with makes Jangmi go back to her old self a bit. knowing her secret makes hyeyoung more attentive to her like feeding her when she doesn't want to eat, buying her whatever she's craving, etc. they hang out more alone and really open up to each other since Jangmi is an emotional mess. minseo picks up that they're hiding something and acting weird but instead of asking she spreads rumors that they're dating and Jangmi is cheating on dantae with hyeyoung. even going as far to add it into the yonsei newspaper last minute without the others knowledge. Jangmi quickly denies it because she doesn't like girls and never did and basically announces that she's not and never will be gay.
but that becomes questionable when hyeyoung and Jangmi kiss. Jangmi is left confused and questioning if she actually does have feelings for hyeyoung whose been there for her this whole time. well hyeyoung knows how she feels but Jangmi is the confused one. she doesn’t know if she really loves her or if it’s just the pregnancy brain talking.
INTERACTIONS if someone sees Jangmi and hyeyoung hang out in public, its obvious that they're good friends. they don't shy away from skinship and talk comfortably with each other. they would hold hands and link arms like its nothing and it was because they didn't have any feelings.
but after hyeyoung finds out she's pregnant, she treats Jangmi like her baby or something. she would get worried when Jangmi does something as simple as running and she'd wipe for her when she's eating. everytime Jangmi is rude or lashes out to someone by accident, hyeyoung is the one to clear up any misunderstandings for her and apologize. if she needs something, hyeyoung is the first person she'd call. when she's upset, hyeyoung knows what amakees her happy. it's like she's the father or something.
