What's in a Name?

Hello my moons, it's Moona again! Maybe by looking at the title (a hint to the blog lol XD) you'll recognize the Shakespeare quote from Romeo and Juliet, but this blog is not about either Shakespeare, the tragic romance between Montague and Capulet, or the meaning behind the phrase. This new blog is actually about the titles we come up with our lovely novels and stories we create.

My inspiration for this blog came from a project I'm working on alone about NCT (tell me your ships if you like on the comment below and I'll see which ones we have in common ^•^). I'm having a hard time coming up with a title for it though. Here's a description:

Determined alpha Johnny Suh plans on getting his beloved omega Lee Taeyong back from wealthy, devious Lee Sooman. Johnny ends up encountering two alphas, Nakamoto Yuta and Chittaphon Leechaiyakul (goes by Ten), to be recruited in the secret division known as the Superhumans, a group made to fight for equality for all three races.

No matter what, Johnny is going to get Taeyong back. He's unaware of what's to come after agreeing to the Superhuman division and the consequences that may occur.

(Basically modernized time with a/b/o dynamics and it's really really bad for omegas and a group is planning to prevent this from continuing ^^) I know it's probably too early to even consider it since the project is only in the early stages of being planned, so why bother, right?

The titles of our masterpieces are important and do say it all whether it's a double meaning or it's literally obvious :) Like every chunk of our stories, the title naming probably takes the same amount of time. Usually, I'm quick to think of names and I have the series name ready to go, I just don't know about the first one (there will be sequels and back stories too).

You know how well the story is written, the plot, the descriptions and the characters are definitely important, but so is the title. I mean it is what your story is called and what people will go around calling it: "Hey, what did you think about Obsession?" "Oh I loved the mystery and crime, it was so intriguing! I'll recommend it to others" you know?

Sorry if this is simply me babbling, but I got the blog idea. At this moment I'm still unsure about what I'm going to name the story, but I am brainstorming some names. I've ever considered checking a name generator, but I'm not sure. I think and hope I'll come up with a title soon.

Either way, I hope you are all having a wonder day and staying healthy out there! Thankyu and until the next blog, my moons ❤️❤️(◠ᴥ◕ʋ)

I agree with you that the name of your fanfic is definitely like the starting point of your story because isn't that what someone looks at first? I always look at the title and then the description.
As for your title, I wish you luck with that because for me at least, this feature of the fanfic is one of the hardest things to come up with. But, I was thinking about your description and came up with this name: 'The Three Races Of Equality'. Because they're all fighting for equality of the three races and for me, it strikes some curiosity(?)
It sounds interesting and when it does come out, I'll definitely check it out because I've been loving some NCT fanfics lately. As for ships, I read Markhyuck, Norenmin, Johnten, Chensung, Jaeyong, Yangdery, Xiaokun, Luwoo, Yuwin & Dotae. Platonic Renhyuck and Taeten are also good partners and funny comedic duo's, lol.
