but when she was in middle school, in 2011, she found out about kpop through her friends. gasp! she got into super junior and snsd and like, REALLY started keeping up with kpop. though her parents were less happy about this, they couldn't really do anything to stop her and as long as she kept her grades up, they let her fangirl. however, they never passed up a chance to make fun of her for liking 'those korean boys' which led to her never telling her parents anything about her own interests anymore.
