when you first meet amelia, you will notice how much of a bundle of sunshine she is. she's always thinking about the good things in life and know that things will always get better. amelia is a very confident person by nature. she has a natural charm that makes people turn their heads to see her. she's very easy to get along with and loves to talk with people (sometimes she loves talking too much). amelia is also a very lively girl, full of zest and energy. and she's always making sure to live up everyone around her as well.
with that said, amelia is definitely one of the most cheerful out of statice. her bright smiles and her endless conversations, she's always in high-spirits, though she does tend to not know when to 'turn-off' her high-spirits. and going along with her high-spirits and endless energy, amelia is also very outspoken. she's not afraid to tell the truth or speak about something no other person would speak about.
and she's, of course, impatient. she does not like to be kept waiting at all. she will have a childish fit when she has to wait too long for things. amelia is very much a perfectionist. if one little thing is misplaced, she will do whatever it takes to put it back in it's place. amelia is definitely stubborn. there are a lot of times when her stubborness gets in the way like whenever she really DOES need help, but refuses to ask for help. she's stubborn like that. amelia definitely doesn't sugarcoat things, she tells it like it is. she's brutally honest and doesn't like beating around the bush.
BACKGROUND
little amelia's story starts in the city of san francisco. a loving couple consisting of a korean man and an american woman gave birth to a wonderful baby girl. little amelia cried into their hearts and she became their world. amelia was fairly spoiled as a child since her parents just loved her sooo much, you know? but amelia wasn't a snob, oh no. she was very sociable as a child, making friends literally everywhere she went.
her parents knew she was going to be great some day, they knew.
when little amelia was ten, she decided...
"Hey, father's teaching me Korean. Maybe he could teach me some of their music too?"
and her father was more than happy to oblige with his daughter's request.
amelia was shown kpop for the first time and she began hooked by the first video. she fell hard for all the groups she laid her eyes upon. she definitely knew what she wanted to do with her life right then and there. she wanted to be an idol.
and what did her parents do? they supported their daughter's dream and had her immediately enrolled in vocal and dance lessons.
for the next four years, amelia attended her lessons with the dream of one day achieving her dream of being on stage. at age fifteen, she got whiff that sm was holding global auditions in los angeles and she practically begged her parents to let her go...
and of course, they took her to the auditions.
amelia would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous, cause she was, but she had faith. complete faith that she would ace her audition.
and somehow, despite a minor voice crack in her singing audition, sm had ended up giving her call afterwards. she was accepted and amelia cried. her dream would finally come true.

♡ works part-time as a barista at a local starbucks. she is an exceptional worker due to her cheerful attitude and her ability to make drinks with ease and quickly.
♡ despite being a good barista and making good coffee, amelia isn't a good cook. all she really knows how to make is fried rice. otherwise, she makes everything out of the microwave.
♡ she did competitive cheerleading when she was ten until she was fourteen.

♡ amelia had opened up her instagram account the moment the girls of citrus left hb entertainment. her first handle was @lvlymelia97, but as citrus' debuts, she changes her handle to @_yummylimeade. she mainly likes to post selfies, but she used to take pictures of starbucks drinks she has made during her part-time job. nowadays, she likes to post pics of the other girls and short snippets of the girls practicing.
RELATIONSHIPS

being the kind of social butterfly she is, amelia grew close to the crackheads of nct. she was around most of their age group and because of energetic personality, she was able to keep up with them. she was glad that they debuted, even though it meant she wouldn't,she doesn't hold a grudge against them (for obvious reasons *coughcough* jaehyun *coughcough*). she is a lot closer to the 'foreign swaggers' of nct due to them all knowing english mostly (plus ten cause he's amazing, duh).
♡ JOHNNY ♡ this man...how can amelia explain him? he's definitely a great friend, amelia loves him a like an older brother. johnny treats amelia like a younger sister in return. they tease and mess with each other just like siblings. a lot of people mistake them for siblings at first glance as well. he was the first to notice her and jaehyun's relationship and he likes to gripe jaehyun all the time, making sure he 'takes care of her.'
♡ TEN ♡ despite not being part of the 'foreign swaggers' club, amelia gets along with him rather well. amelia absolutely enjoys his colorful personality, not minding the slight ersion to his words at all. sometimes she is equally 'erted' and they get into a 'who can sound dirtier' contest (in which jaehyun tries to stop it cause it's embarrassing, that's his gf and johnny watches and laughs his off). amelia misses dancing with him as he always gave her tips to stop bad habits.
♡ JAEHYUN ♡ jaehyun...is simply the love of her life. she doesn't remember how it was without him. he fills her life up with happiness, all though cringey feelings from romance movies. jaehyun is a complete gentleman with amelia, pretty much what most fanfictions depict him to be. amelia definitely feels proud to be jaehyun's gf and jaehyun is proud to be amelia's bf. they are stupidly in love and probably will be for the rest of their life, if possible.
♡ MARK ♡ A BABY, that's what amelia calls him (even tho he's definitely not a baby anymore). she can't help it. she babies mark a lot as she loves to see the male squirm from her actions. she is not afraid to claim mark as her child on tv, when she can. mark is her buddy and misses hanging out with him. amelia is like a big sister to mark.

amelia trained with the girls of red velvet as sm was originally wanting amelia to be a part of the girl group, but in the end she was ultimately replaced with joy (and later, yeri). though, amelia holds no hard feelings towards joy, yeri, or any of the girls. they are all good friends and she wouldn't want bad blood between them. what's really ironic is that amelia is actually really close to joy and yeri both (and wendy, for english reasons). joy is a good friend and yeri is like another lil baby that amelia can add to her 'baby' list.

since jaehyun and amelia are dating and along with the fact that she's also a 97 liner, she is a honorary member of the 97 liner group chat. jaehyun is good friends the other idols on the chat and wanted them to know all about amelia. and it happened so fast, but amelia was definitely accepted amongst the other 97 liners. she is great friends with most of them.
♡ JUNGKOOK ♡ jungkook is a sweet boy and the only one from the 97 liners group chat that she has not met in person before. amelia enjoys the short talks they share, mainly over music. one time, amelia slipped that jungkook is her bts bias and the chat has never let it down, teasing jaehyun and jungkook with that fact.
♡ BAMBAM & YUGYEOM ♡ if jaehyun regrets anything, its introducing amelia to bambam and yugyeom. amelia gets along swell with the two got7 members. along with amelia, they are a force to be reckoned with. spamming the group chat with thousands of memes, unflattering pictures of each other, no one is safe when all three are online. amelia has met them both and they are just as ridiculous in real life.

♡ 멜라니, MELANIE ♡ sm literally just pulled a tiffany and decided that amelia would get a totally different american name. unlike tiffany's reasons, there's no one else named amelia. sm just wanted to give her a different name. even amelia questioned why, but eventually she came to terms with her odd stage name.
but that was sm and she was in another company, but, as said before, amelia had came to terms with her old stage name that she just went along with it again. and even without a company, it's still going to be her stage name.
she secretly likes her stage name because jaehyun's nickname for her is mel and so when she hears melanie, she hears jaehyun calling her mel.

TRAINEE LIFE
despite the obvious tense atmosphere of the trainees of sm, amelia didn't mind as she had a set goal in mind. she was fairly popular among the trainees for her obvious mixed blood and energetic personality that made it pretty hard to not like her.
many trainees made several comments after learning about her voice crack in her audition that sm totally chose her for her mixed blood visuals. cause, yeah, sm is all about the visuals.
but did that deter dear amelia? nope, not really.
she was pretty much a friendly soul and that's all she wanted to do (beside be an idol) and she did what she knew best. she made friends with several trainees who were accepted the same time as her like jaehyun.
amelia pretty much became a staple of sm's trainees, even being one of the first lineup of sm rookies for her overall talent.
one might not know, but she was actually one of the first to thought of for red velvet, her all-rounder ability being a pretty good fit for the idea, but she was ultimately replaced by joy. but amelia didn't let that bother her. there would be more opportunities, right?
especially when their was a possible rumor of a girl being added to the lineup of red velvet, though amelia didn't listen to those rumors as sm began to promise her that they were thinking on debuting her as a soloist instead.
though those plans fell through as the suddeness of nct's debut and her solo debut plans were pushed to the back burner. as nct began to gain a fanbase, amelia learned that sm's promises were only empty promises as they really weren't planning to debut her as a soloist.
it was kinda the last straw for amelia, so she terminated her contract and began to look for another agency. she didn't have to wait long at all as she auditioned for hb ent and was accepted easily.
with her bubbly and optimistic personality, she was well loved in the company alongside her years of training under her belt. it definitely wasn't a surprise that she was thought of for hb's girl group. amelia was definitely ready to debut, she has been for years...except that it was an empty promise once more.
so when it was time for the girls to leave, amelia left with the other immediately. amelia was glad that they all decided to stay together. along with her sisters, she continued to keep them all in high spirits and trained alongside with them.

SCANDALS
♡ BREAKING NEWS: BTS' JUNGKOOK SEEN ON A DATE? ♡ future scandal, false the 97 liner group decided to do a meet up with everyone and jaehyun asked if he could bring amelia along (since she hadn't actually met jungkook or eunwoo yet). jaehyun texted he was going to be late and told her to go on ahead. she thought nothing of it and went to the address of their hangout spot.
and just guess who was the first one there?

amelia squeaked out an accented 'annyeong' cause holy heck its the golden maknae what do i do because truly she's only spoken to jungkook through text, this was the first time she has spoke to him or met him in real life.
it was a very awkward time, but jungkook was sweet and made her feel more comfortable while they waited for the rest of the guys.
they got more comfortable and jungkook even allowed to give the shorter girl a little pat on the head ("Hey! Don't make fun of my height! Gah!") and that's what jaehyun walked in on.
"Yah, Jungkook, you know that's my girl, stop flirting with her!"
"He-hey, I wasn't flirting..."
it was a fun hangout event that amelia would definitely remember.
but what she didn't know was that someone was there to catch that moment between her and jungkook.
and the rumor spread like wild fire. amelia was the first to deny the rumor, completely gobsmacked and offended by the outrageous rumors. bighit was next to deny such rumors. amelia and bighit both gave statements, explaining that her and jungkook only known each through texts and that was the first time they met and they were just hanging out with friends.
but those statements only brought in more rumors...
♡ THE REAL TRUTH: DATING NCT'S JAEHYUN ♡ future scandal, true after the jungkook scandal and the fact that she's friends with all of the 97 liners, netizens began to speculate that she was probably dating one of them.
and it didn't take long for them to find out who.
