8 facts! (tagged by JaeKnight)

Jae tagged me in this about two weeks ago and I finally got the time to do it since it's my day off lol
Tagging vanillasushi, MinnieCrafts, xomrskimkai, YifanForever and anyone who wants to do this tag! :)

1. I used to do competitive cheerleading but I had to stop because of an injury. I had a herniated disc in the lower back that was putting pressure into a nerve down my right leg. My doctor told me that if I continued cheerleading while ignoring the pain, I would have needed surgery in my lower back (big yikes). Unfortunately/luckily, I had to stop cheerleading and do physical therapy, and now it's fine but I still do have occasional pain down my lower back (but maybe it's because I'm getting old, idk)

2. I lost my passport the first time I visited South Korea back in summer 2018 lmao... I was travelling alone for the first time during that time. I visited my extended family in Hong Kong before heading to Tokyo then to Seoul. Literally 3 days into my stay in Seoul, I lost it. And I was freaking out because I had to go to China after staying in Seoul for 3 weeks and I needed to, not only make a new passport but also apply for a Chinese visa -- it was hell.

3. I've made a couple of friends on AFF and met 3 of them in real life :') Funny enough, the first time I've met all of them was when we happened to be in South Korea at the same time

4. My all-time favourite movies are Inglourious Basterds (2009), Mustang (2015), La vita è Bella (1997) and Pride & Prejudice (2005)

5. My favourite shoujo mangas are Sunadokei, Ao Haru Ride and Hirunaka no Ryuusei

6. I'm multilingual! I speak Mandarin, Cantonese, English, French and Indonesian. I speak Mandarin, Cantonese and Indonesian because of my family, but I'm kinda bad at Indonesian so I'm trying my best now to relearn the language properly. And I speak English and French because I'm from the French part of Canada lol. I'm also learning Korean atm and went to Yonsei last summer to learn it and to try something new. I'm still NOT fluent in the language but I'm working hard :'D

If I were to rank my level of fluency in each language, it would be:
1. English
2. French
3. Mandarin
4. Cantonese
5. Indonesian
6. Korean

7. As a huge fan of Rick Riordan and his Percy Jackson & the Olympian series, it led me to do a minor in Classical Archaeology!

8. I don't really like drinking. I don't mind taking a few shots of soju or vodka with a chaser before going clubbing because I need alcohol in my system to be able to dance in public LMAO but otherwise, I don't really drink in general

That's it for my 8 facts :)

Six languages?! Damn I struggle with the three I know.
Props to you for minoring in something so cool! Percy Jackson brought out the best in our generation lol
Also very cool you were able to travel internationally. I’m hoping to go places one day :D
