Personality [make it specific]: Song Hwa can tend to be a bit introverted, having suffered from trust issues since he was an adolescent. He doesn’t speak often, unless he feels his opinion is really needed in a situation. Because he is so shy, most people are not so sure what he would be like if he was coaxed out of his shell. Despite lacking trust with others, he tries his best to not judge anyone based on first impressions or just looks. He always makes an effort to give someone a chance to prove to him that they are trusting. However, despite this seeming like a step in the right direction, he tends to write people off for the smallest of things. Whether it be a misunderstood look or any other tiny mistake, Song Hwa will take it much too close to heart. He is a very picky person and very hard to impress. However, the select few that he deems are acceptable to open up to are his closest friends that he will be loyal to for life. These few people would, of course, be his fellow group members of Mist. When it comes to his fans, he appreciates that they accept him despite his flaws and loves them as well.

Background: Song Hwa grew up with his older brother, Cnblue leader, Jung Yong Hwa. He considered him to be his biggest role model and practically worshipped him. Both were born in Seoul where they later moved to Busan, both attending the rest of their school lives there. Afterwards, Yong Hwa moved to Japan, leaving Song Hwa alone back home where he spent his time trying to follow in his older brother’s footsteps. He always tried to keep his idolization of his older sibling a bit discreet, feeling it would weird the other out, however his brother had always been perfectly willing to try to guide and teach him. His severe trust issues stem from his best childhood friend, who he had known since he was practically in diapers. He had grown up with him and both had miraculously stayed together despite him moving from Seoul to Busan, as his best friend followed him. In high school, Song Hwa began to grow into his uality and released he had feelings for his friend much stronger than he had believed. He was sure he was in love with him, however he was in the closet as he feared that confessing his feelings to his best friend would destroy their years of friendship. However, when he did work up the nerve to tell the other male, he was laughed at, which completely broke his heart. He had to face torment his senior year of high school, being the only openly gay boy in the whole school. He didn’t even get to graduate with his class as his parents pulled him out and had him homeschooled his last few months to prevent any further emotional distress. 

Family Members: 4 – His parents, himself and his older brother.  His mother has always stayed at home since he was born and his father was constantly away with work. While his mother and brother accept his homouality, his father is intensely homophobic.
