appearance & fashion :    there isn't really anny difference with their faceclaim, feifei is every bit the patootie that yuqi is. her style is very cutesy and feminine, she prefers skirts over pants and she will adore any cute or glamorous costumes they might get to wear.


personality :   Feifei is  a ray of sunshine. she's optimistic and idealistic and looks at the world through the biggest rose colored glasses. she's never known hardship in her life so she is like a sweet innocent soul who's never been tarnished. she's friendly and sociable and doesn't know any shame, she makes friends with people quickly and she doesn't care one bit about looking silly or foolish. She kinda likes looking silly and foolish, she likes being the quirky cute girl and the cuteness comes naturally to her. 

on the other side she also has no idea what she's getting into and she has an almost stubborn refusal to see the bad side of the kpop industry. she's spent her entire life fantasizing about this moment and building the industry up as this amazing and glamorous place that she would love to enter herself, seeing the darkness behind the scenes would shatter her. so instead she ignores it or she makes excuses for it. she also had no idea how hard it was going to be to train, she wasn't prepared for all of this at all. she's going to do her best but she might find that there is a breaking point beneath all of this that she just can't handle.

Background :   Feifei had a very easy time growing up. Youngest of 3 and born to an upper middle class chinese household, her siblings had done all of the achieving for her and feifei was free to dream and coast along. She did some music and dance classes like her siblings before her but she never excelled. That was fine, she didn't have to be the best, she didn't want to become a graceful dancer and mother like her sister or a reknowned opera singer like her brother. feifei wanted to be a kpop idol.

she'd fallen in love with kpop during the hallyu wave and she never let go of that idea. she idealized the stardom, all she really saw from her house in shanghai was the glitz and the glamor, the beautiful smiles and the beautiful costumes. all she saw was the happiness that radiated from them (and the fan service that made her cheeks flush and later on made her fingers dance across the keyboard). 

history and connection to the k-pop industry : feifei has mostly participated as a fan. she's gone to concerts, she's written fanfic, she's bought merchandise and albums, she's streamed mv's. she has no idea what she's doing, she applied for the show on a whim, but she knows she wants to shine like her biases.

 

 

 

 

relationships :  

older brother : wang xiao ying : 22 : ambitious, focused, loyal, kind  : feifei loves her brother very much, they used to be very close before he left for university, he'd dote on her and spoil her and sing for her. she loves listening to his voice even if opera isn't something she likes at all, he's just so passionate about it, and he's always encouraged her to find the thing that she's good at above all else.

older sister : wang yin xi : 23 : courteous, graceful, helpful, poised: yinxi is the perfect daughter, she was raised to be the picture of grace and elegance and she's taken it to heart. they're not very close, yinxi was usually the voice of her parents, the one who was disappointed in feifei for not being a musical talent like her and xiaoying or for at least trying. she thinks feifei's obsession with kpop is silly and not worthy of her but if feifei is determined to follow this path then yinxi will help if she can. just don't expect her to hold back on the 'i told you so's should this not go well.

trivia :  

* she has written a lot of fanfiction about several different groups, mostly male, some of it more than a little R rated. she's also written more pg and wholesome fics, fics that glorify the industry and fics that place her favorite pretty boys into fairy tale settings. her asianfanfics account is vast.

* she loves skinship

* is addicted to sweet sodas

* loves nct the most, but shinee and super junior are what got her into kpop. loves anything sm even though there are smaller groups she likes too, but sm are her absolute favorite artists. is so happy that jessica is here!

* other groups she likes: girls generation, red velvet, the boys, stray kids, ateez, itzy, oh my girl, izone, x1, wannaone, cix, ab6ix.

* doesn't like bts mostly to be contrary to popular opinion. also their fans are really annoying.

* she's been studying korean in preparation for this for 10 years, she's fairly fluent though she can be a little awkward with slang sometimes and get confused. She was so proud when she could watch kdramas without subtitles.

* Has a vast collection of kpop albums at home from super junior to ateez. if the boys are pretty she will probably like them one way or another.

* her entire life was kpop for so long she knows so many things about it but only from an outside perspective. she's going to be so excited to see the other side of the coin.

"I've loved kpop since i was about 7 years old, I've always wanted to be a part of it but I've never gotten the opportunity for it (and my parents wouldn't let me go before I graduated :( ) but now I want to grab this opportunity with both hands!"

"I think I do! People have always told me that I'm really cute no matter what I do and while I'm not very good at dancing and singing I've been told that I shine on stage anyway. or maybe that's just what I wanted to hear..."

"Yes! I think! i mean i do my work when we have a group project at school or something, i'm not one of those people who completely slacks off, you know? (she's not the best team player, she mostly cares about her own spotlight and her own fantasies of being an idol)
