Ahreum has ash brown hair with fringes. Being a noble herself, she always wears make-up on to look presentable.
Ahreum prioritizes extravagant dresses (predominantly Roccoco-style dresses) so that everyone will have no choice but to look at her because they think that she looks beautiful in it or that her clothing style is too tacky. Either way, their reactions amuses her.
During her trips to the town, she will not put on make-up and wear commoner's clothes since she doesn't want to be recognized. No one expects her to wear simple clothing which makes her disguise almost foolproof. It's also quite comfortable.

REAL LIFE
Kim Soohyun lives with her parents and her younger sibling. She is 27 years old and works as a freelance artist who mainly does digital art commissions. She also sells traditional paintings online. She aspired to be an idol when she was young but injured her foot permanently during training. Because of this, she uses a walking cane. Outside her home, she uses an umbrella to assist her instead because she is embarrassed about her injury to other people.
Despite her accident, she still listens to a lot of pop music. She does singing covers on her free time and uploads it on her YouTube account. She also got into playing visual novels and otome games which she thinks are pretty neat. They are similar to Who Would You Fall For stories that she used to read when she was a teenager. Soohyun does not stream herself playing them because when she makes a choice, it feels too selfish and self-indulgent and no one wants to watch that.
Her sibling, Soojin also plays otome games and ordered a game she saw on a game development forum online. It was an otome game called MX KINGDOM with seven hot princes you can romance. Soohyun could not wait to receive the package and play it a little bit before her younger sister comes home from work.
IN GAME
Soohyun decided that she would go all out and design an 'ideal' character to test the game just so she doesn't spend four hours on the character creation screen. She needed to play at least ten minutes of actually gameplay before her sister comes home. She decided on a princess named Ahreum. 27? 18? She was really trying not to take too long creating her character.
Ahreum woke up in a spacious bedroom. She was confused until a sudden info dump was sent to her brain. She took over a princess' body in the game. A princess who has met the seven princes a lot of times when she was young according to the pleasant memories Ahreum received about the princess' childhood.
The princess' name was Choi Ahreum and she insisted on 'waiting for the right moment and the right person' when her mother, Queen Sunhui asked her when she is planning to marry. Her father on the other hand, told her to marry a prince from the MX KINGDOM as his advisor said that it was good to strengthen such ties with them.
She, however, wanted to have nothing to do with the princes of MX KINGDOM because after a long time of not seeing them, she finally visited the princes. During that time, everything was normal but the princes were more reserved, like there was this huge tension. During her second day at the palace, he was forced by Minhyuk to watch him get it on with another guy in the palace vineyard after failing to make advances to her.
Thankfully, Jooheon happened to pass by and saved her after warning Minhyuk. That incident had scarred the princess and she never wanted to go back to MX KINGDOM again. That memory felt too vivid and Ahreum developed an extreme aversion to Minhyuk and anything related to vineyards after seeing that play out in her mind.
Regarding the marriage arrangements, Ahreum finally agreed to marry a prince from the MX KINGDOM (as per the game's objectives) with the condition that she will get to pick which prince she will marry (she definitely did not want it to be Minhyuk). Her parents agreed and mentioned that if she chose the crown prince, their proposal might get rejected.
During Ahreum's first real meeting with the princes, she was starstruck with a certain tall figure. He was the most beautiful person she's laid her eyes on. With her terrible luck, she realizes that she picks the crown prince. She thinks hard about which prince would be a good idea to pursue as her parents gave her two months for her decision. At the moment she is staying at MX KINGDOM's palace as a guest.

The King not that old but he moves slowly and tends to repeat himself. This is worrying for Ahreum because he seems to fully trust his advisor. It seems his advisor is urging him to make him his successor by appointment, as he has no suitable son to succeed him. She's ready to neck his advisor.

Her mother is the one with close ties to the MX KINGDOM as that was her hometown before she was married to King Byungho. She was a well-known noble and the current King of MX KINGDOM wanted to make her his bride before she was married off to Byungho.

Mature and headstrong but still has her morals in check. Boram hasn't been in good terms with her younger sister before Ahreum replaced her. She often scolds her younger sister since she rebels and doesn't listen to their parents. After the change, Ahreum has become more obedient and agreeable. Boram thinks that her sister has become weird and suspects that something might have happened to her.

Spoiled and arrogant. Ever since Ahreum became the princess they fought less. Back then, the princess was also spoiled and wanted to have her way as well but since she was older that Sarang, she is the one that gets scolded. The old princess had always felt that her parents favor Sarang way too much. Ahreum now tries to understand her younger sister's feelings which bewilders Sarang but she just treats it like some well-deserved miracle from above.

Ahreum first met I.M during one of Ahreum's secret trips to MX KINGDOM. He helped her escape from the palace guards who was looking for the girl who trespassed and was 'last seen holding a half-eaten parfait that was meant to be for one of the princes'.
I.M had a hard time keeping in his laughter but he managed to misdirect the guards. Ahreum thanked him and gave him her name. He was surprised to see her after so long and he asked her how she was doing. They got closer after Ahreum officially visited MX KINGDOM as the princess.
They became really close because Ahreum kept on approaching him every time she sees him especially when she notices that he is quite close to Hyungwon.

Iseul has always been there for her since day one. She is hard-working and tends to Ahreum all throughout the day. She is thankful that Ahreum sometimes goes out so that she can rest but she is worried about her princess. She also feels that her master feels a bit different as she wasn't as thoughtful as she is now.

In order to meet and acquaint herself with all of the eligible princes Ahreum walks and talks in a confident manner that most people find charming. She is quick to express her opinions but does so in a way that she doesn't seem impolite. All of Ahreum's actions show that she is fearless except for when an argument presents itself. She often backs down from a fight (verbal or physical) in a social setting not because she is scared but because she doesn't want to be seen as anything less that classy. If she is provoked, then she won't hesitate to fight or argue. She's not someone to beat around the bush. She is actually courageous but because she avoids arguing so most people think that she is a coward.
Ahreum, to the people she is close to, is a friend that can always be trusted. Ever since she took over the princess' body she has become reliable. Reliable in a way that she is loyal, the type who won't spill secrets and one who keeps her promises. She is also reliable in a way that she can be depended upon. She is sure to remember if someone asks her for a favor especially if it's a friend of hers. Ahreum won't hesitate to help. Even when she played games in real life, she doesn't forget to do sidequests.
She wears her emotions on her sleeve. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. She is often sympathetic to others' hardships and it she feels very bad when she can't do anything to help them. This is the main reason why she wants to help the princes. She also tries to empathize with people and tries her best to not act insensitive around them. She is careful with her words and actions. However, despite doing her best, she is like an open book. One can clearly see when she is distraught, scared or happy. Ahreum can tone it down but she's just not good at hiding her true feelings.
Ahreum is as unpredictable as the weather. In a good mood one second, she can be infuriated in the next. There are some things that just provoke Ahreum like talking badly about her family or her friends. She stops herself from acting unlady-like but there are just some things that make her want to roundhouse kick someone in the face especially since she can use her legs just fine in the game. It could also be because of someone's presence. Her positive demeanor can suddenly become sour just because Minhyuk had arrived. Sometimes, it is well-planned and she only acts in an unpredictable way to surprise a friend or see someone's reaction.
As selfless as she wants to be, Ahreum is prone to doing things that will satisfy her curiosity or because she thinks it will be amusing. She sometimes goes to the kitchen to take out a whole cake for herself and often fights with her younger sister for some raviolis. It also shows when she stalks Hyungwon and glares at the girls who he converses with (from afar because she's hiding). She really thinks that he's so beautiful and wonders if there was a person in real life who looks like him. He's tall and beautiful and Ahreum thinks his voice is handsome as well. She can't imagine handing him over to some other girl even if he isn't even hers in the first place.
Ever the adventurous type, Ahreum wants to explore the game without stressing too much even if she misses her home and there is a possibility of not getting out of the game. Curiousity gets the best of her and she ends up eavesdropping and digging for information. Ever since she got into the game, she has been getting chummy with the princes and the palace servants. Sometimes, even sneaking off into town in a commoner's garb so that she could investigate and learn more about the kingdom as a normal townsperson. Sometimes, she ends up in questionable situations because of her curiosity but most of the time she can feel like she's accomplished a very much needed objective in the main storyline.

1ST PRINCE :: There is a certain air of mystery around him that Ahreum wants to unravel. Shownu is clearly 'not her type' however she eavedrops on his conversations whenever she gets the chance.
2ND PRINCE :: Somehow, Ahreum just isn't interested with Wonho even if he melts her heart when he smiles (he's very cute!) as he often seems to be uninterested and blends into the background.
3RD PRINCE :: Minhyuk just oozes out appeal that can't compare to any of the other princes. She finds him attractive and charming but Ahreum knows that she must not let her guard down. As out of all the princes, Ahreum's intuition tells her that he is the most dangerous one. Her stomach bubbles with dread whenever she sees him.
4TH PRINCE :: Kihyun's eyes are filled with ambition, with desire. She could also see a certain savage-ness in it. She once heard that he practiced playing the piano until his fingers bled. With the rumors she's heard about him, Ahreum is intrigued. She attempts to befriend him when she learns that he is quite passionate about singing and food. Not to mention how charming he looks when he's smiling.
5TH PRINCE :: The main apple of Ahreum's eyes. He's the snobby and proud crown prince of MX Kingdom and Ahreum is ready to fight the other nobles who think that they could be the next queen just because the Queen and King likes them. The moment she laid her eyes on him, she thought that he was the most beautiful being she has ever seen. But he was too far away from her. Even as a princess who was wearing who knows how many diamond necklaces and gold hair pins, Ahreum felt inadequate. Like a commoner to a king... or a tiny fish to a barracuda. Hyungwon did not spare even a single glance at her.
6TH PRINCE :: Every time Joohoney lets his stare linger on Ahreum, her heart skips a beat. She's not sure if it's because she's scared sh*tless or aroused by his smirk. Ahreum doesn't want to appear intimidated by him but her act isn't very effective because she always ends up flustered when he teases or provokes her. He finds her interesting while she is annoyed by him. Ahreum talks about how infuriated she is with Joohoney to her loyal servant, Iseul. Iseul thinks that the prince likes the princess. Or is it the other way around?
7TH PRINCE :: Ahreum initially wanted to get closer to Hyungwon so she spent more time with I.M. She genuinely thinks of I.M as a friend. He is a close friend of hers and even gives her a tarot card reading sometimes. She believes him when he warns her and gives her advice about her fate. However, due to their close interactions many think that she likes I.M romantically.

Kihyun has a cheeful demeanor. He is always seen smiling especially when he is in a conversation or is eating. He is the friendly type and is unlikely to be left alone in social gatherings. And since he is knowledgable about most subjects, he easily finds a way to enter into conversations. He acts flustered and a bit embarrassed but really proud inside when praised for his achievements.
Always being in the company of others, it still boggles one's mind how anyone could be so easily trusting with other people considering that they are generally untrustworthy folks. Kihyun is naive to a fault but his innocent perspective on situations are a breath of fresh air which urges others to trust him as well. He is not the deceptive kind because he doesn't think that his conscience could take it.
Ever since he was a kid, when he wants to accomplish a task like learning how to play the piano by himself, he doesn't stop. He believes that giving up is the source of all regrets so he does his best until he is almost perfect in what he does. Because of his determination, he managed to learn how to write and speak in foreign languages, sculpt, play cricket, win against adults in chess and play Paganini's Caprice 24 on the violin all before he turned twelve years old.
He is so obssessed with learning and repeating his old habits that he doesn't notice when he's going over to top in practicing or how many plates of risotto he's eaten. It's similar to going on auto-pilot mode but he just can't stop himself. It doesn't help that Minhyuk is toying with his brother and helps him push himself past his limit until he becomes burnt out.
Despite his positive attitude in the presence of others, when he is alone, everything just goes downhill. He can't help feeling inadequate. That even if he accomplishes a lot of things, it seems that people get over them quickly and that no one actually cares about him. The only person who he thinks that appreciates him is his brother, Minhyuk.
Kihyun trusts his brother to the ends of the world. He can't go against Minhyuk because of this. Not just towards Minhyuk, but most of the time Kihyun keeps to himself because he thinks that he would just be a bother everyone by telling them about his problems. If anything were to happen to him, he wouldn't tell anyone and will try to solve it by himself rather than ask for help. He remembers how his hands wouldn't move and had to recover for months after he practiced playing the piano non-stop for almost five days.
BACKGROUND
Kihyun was a prodigy during his childhood and was loved by everyone. They dubbed him as a genius that would pave a successful path in the future with his own hands. His whole childhood was spent alone or with his servants mainly with Kihyun focusing on honing his talents. This did not affect his social skills as he is actually quite adept at conversing. This was also the time that he met the princess. He became interested in her cheerful personality and learned the piano because of her (she wouldn't stop talking about Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake). However, she stopped coming to the palace and he became disheartened.
After learning that she will be visiting, he was so excited that while practicing a piece for her he injured his hands because he didn't want to take a rest. After learning that she came to the palace while he was injured and that she wouldn't be coming back, he tried to forget her. But it wasn't easy because he could not do anything during those months being able to barely move his hands. It was so painful for him both mentally and physically. After the incident, he still practiced but in moderation. He turned to eating to help him occupy his mind. It wasn't obvious because he didn't get fat but he ate more and more, asked for more servings even when he had just vomited he still wants to eat.
Due to what happened with his hand, a rumor went around the town, that the fourth prince was unstable and a freak. Not long after, Kihyun was back to his usual self. He ignores the rumors and puts on a cheerful façade even though he often feels empty inside. His brother Minhyuk had always been there for him especially after he came back to the capital. Kihyun trusts his brother with his life but Minhyuk only sees his brother as a convenient lap dog.
FIRST MEETING & INTERACTION & RELATIONSHIP
Their first meeting came as a surprise for Ahreum. She was expecting there to be no one in the kitchen during this time. It was already after midnight, and she wondered what she was doing having an after-midnight snack with the fourth son of the King. Just earlier, she was discreetly looking for food because she got hungry and couldn't sleep but she ended up seeing Kihyun in the kitchen nonchalantly eating a roast beef dish (there was a small pile of the beef). It seems it was a normal occurance for him and she accepted his reluctant invitation to eat with him. He asked how she has been since it was a long time they saw each other. She gave some vague answers but remembered the rumors so she redirected the topic to his piano playing. He was glad to answer and offered to teach her how to play since she mentioned that she didn't know how to. And so Ahreum has been getting piano lessons from him and sometimes for singing as well.
As thanks for teaching her, she practices the food her mom in real life used to make to give it to Kihyun. It was difficult to get the right ingredients but she managed to make the taste similar. However, she cooked too much... For twenty people actually. She ate some but gave the rest to Kihyun. She had Kihyun come to the town because she couldn't just cook in the palace kitchen as the servants might stop her. She asked the lady at the restaurant if she could borrow a stove, pots and utensils (she paid for renting a part of the restaurant, don't worry). Kihyun was pleasantly surprised with the gesture and the taste of the carbonara. She was also surprised. He ate more than half of what she cooked! (And she only ate one serving before!) After eating, they spent some time in the town looking inside shops. Kihyun felt free somehow.
Others see their relationship as that of a mentor of student but Ahreum is slowly falling for him... especially with his smile. His smile is the contagious type that makes you smile as well. He looks so happy that Ahreum continues to be cheerful for the rest of the day even if they have parted ways. Kihyun considers Ahreum a friend of his. He is also happy with the idea that she could be a sister-in-law of his in the future that meant that she will be able to cook her specialty dish. To him, it felt like he could be relaxed when she was with her. Like his urge to hoard or eat or do something until he is exhausted disappears. But of course, it won't be that easy. And he has already erased his feelings for her a long time ago. Their relationship is at a standstill until Minhyuk pushes Kihyun to his limit and Ahreum has no choice but to -in and conquer her fear of the former. She is ready to fight for her friend and save him from Minhyuk and himself.

I would like to suggest that from an impulsive and selfish person who focuses on Hyungwon too much and the princes' physical appearance, Ahreum would develop into a person who wants to help all of them change into better people when she sees the princes' increasingly troubling actions while befriending and teaming up with her fellow players along the way.
It's okay if she doesn't end up with anyone.
