»  MR. TALK  «  everyone knows who jian is. he talks to everyone, even himself. he just loves to talk. he just can never find someone willing to listen. so he talks and talks and talks until someone shuts him up.

»  NERD  «  jian is quite the nerd. he's always found with his face in a book or his computer screen lighting up his face. he's always cited what he learns, mumbling and or telling others at random times.

»  FOUR EYES  «  because jian does have reading glasses, many bullies took quick notice of the nerd to call him four eyes as well.

»  CHN  «  fluent, native tongue; was taught mandarin at a young age. his parents made sure to teach him their native language. has lost some fluency due to living in korea, but he strictly speaks mandarin with his parents so he occasionally checks up on his mandarin.

»  ENG  «  advanced conversational, learned in school; continues independent study, most problems lie in grammar and pronunciations, but he can fake his fluency.

»  JAP  «  conversational, began learning in high school; he wanted to learn another language and decided on japanese (mostly due to learning about the famous UA). not fluent at all, but continues to take japanese classes.

at first glance, jian can be seen as tiny and lithe because of the way he dresses casually. clothes that swim on his small stature.

his normal attire is usually tan cargo shorts (or pants if the weather is cold), a pair of worn out sneakers, a regular t-shirt (varies with different band logos or cartoon characters), and his favorite jean jacket.

he also carries along a pair of reading glasses for when his eyes hurt from studying so long.

the first thing you notice when jian is in his xinshen persona is that his face turns stone-cold, a ice blue eye color contact in his left eye.

a tiny body once hidden beneath baggy clothes is revealed, showing off years of exercise and hidden muscles. black fabric stretches over his muscles to show that he can fight back.

a navy blue trench coat with a chinese dragon design to represent his chinese ethnicity. fluffy fur around the collar to give him a sense of authority, so foes do not underestimate him. over all, his costume is about giving him an air of strength and power, to not judge a book by it's cover.

 

QURIK  quirkless

 

»  BLOCK  «  with jian's hidden metal forearm plates, he has definitely grew used to using his forearms for blocking. since jian is more of a think, before acting, he will block until he assesses the situation.

»  UPPERCUT  «  self-explanatory. a plain old uppercut. packs a bit of a punch due to jian's hidden brass knuckles under his gloves.

»  LOW KICK  «  his boots are steel toed, making his kicks a bit more harder than normal. jian prefers to do low kicks, kicks that knock his enemies balance off course.

 

»  speed, it has to be his speed; jian is small and he uses it to his advantage, having always been a bit faster than normal kids. he's a speedy little devil without a quirk.

»  people in need; jian can assess a situation in seconds, but once there is someone screaming help, his thought processes stop and he's running towards the people who call for help.

»  quirks; since jian is quirkless, he's actually pretty weak against strong quirks. he can only keep up so much with most quirks, but the stronger the quirk, the harder it is for him to keep up.

jian isn't a fighter. he'd rather watch and gather data first before seeing if he needs to interfere.

he assesses a situation fairly quickly. his eyes watch over any fight, his mind mapping out possibilities in minutes before springing into action.

when jian is pulled into a fight, ...

because of jian being quirkless, he does rely on a lot of equipment to keep up with everyone.

he wears a headset with a microphone to help project his voice when needed to let the party know where he is. it also helps out by changing his voice as well. the headset can be connected to ear pieces for the rest of the team.

underneath his trench coat, jian wears elbow pads to help with padding for dodging and or landing. he also wears metal forearm plates, also hidden under his coat, to help block as well.

hidden under his gloves are brass knuckles used for surprise close combat.

his boots happen to be steel toe, used for surprise offense and defense. 

jian is not shy when it comes to weapons. he has probably read and studied different ways to hold a staff, how to use nunchucks, ways to shoot a gun, etcera.

no one is surprised with the change of weapons with each mission they go on.
