The dynamic duo of AAP.Y! Starting out as the two first trainees at the company, Soohyun and Hyeya have trained and grown together for 3 years now, they've learned to rely on each other and forged a strong bond.

As the most reliable trainees they've been sent to Produce together just like they've always been used to, but the compentition will split them apart and test their friendship in ways it's never been tested. Hyeya will have to stand on her own without the support and encouragement of Soohyun, while Soohyun will have to take a step back and let her grown on her own.

And then there's the fact that there is some very real romantic tension between these two best friends...

On paper Nam Hyeya has everything she needs to debut: she's pretty, she's a good dancer and a decent rapper and singer, and she's quite good on stage. What's really holding her back is her own insecurities, she doesn't believe she deserves any of this, she's afraid that taking a risk will see her plumet down into the earth instead of soaring like she wants to.

Soohyun has always been a stabilizing presence, her own hype man to ground her and calm her anxieties, can she grow to believe in herself? Will she ever dare to contend for a center position?

Yang Soohyun has dreamed of becoming an idol for a very long time, and why shouldn't he? He has a beautiful voice, he's a pretty good dancer too, and he's likeable! Oh, right, his face. He's not a visual at all, his round face with the baby fat does very little to instill faith in his future company. Still, AAP.Y believes in him and his natural charisma and voice in the hopes they'll grab the national producers anyway.

He doesn't understand Hyeya, who cares that she's not the best dancer or singer? She has the thing that is most important: beauty and charms. If only she'd believe more in herself, he knows she could take Korea by storm.

Not him though, not with his face. Maybe, though, he can make enough of a splash for this to be worth the company's while, get some fans to justify debuting him in a boy group with the other trainees whose visuals do count.

And, if not, maybe he can help Hyeya debut at least. That would be something.
