► Tolerant – After years of instruction from her mothers and those who trained her at the brothel, she has learnt to be level-headed and cooperate with people. She recognize that it means listening to other peoples’ opinions, even when they contradict her own. She admit she doesn’t have all the answers, and is often receptive to dissent, so long as it remains constructive. On the other hand if it is condescending, she doesn’t often handle it well.

► Reliable – The one thing that galls Achara the most is the idea of letting down a person or cause they believe in. Not being perfect and living up to people’s expectations of her scares her. If it’s possible, Ara will always be counted on to see things through, to prove she can be perfect like she assumes all people want her to be.

► Charismatic – Charm and popularity are qualities Achara has in spades. She instinctively knows how to capture an audience or individual, and pick up on mood and motivation in ways that allow her to communicate with reason, emotion, passion, restraint – whatever the situation calls for. This has been ingrained in her since she was a child. She is a talented imitator, as Achara can shift her tone and manner to reflect the needs of those around her, while still maintaining their own voice.

► Altruistic – Uniting these qualities is Achara’s unyielding desire to do good in and for her community. After all she has been told since birth that her mission and purpose will bring her people justice and bring them happiness. All she wants this to make her people happy again. Despite her facade, Achara is warm and selfless, genuinely believing that if she can just complete her mission, there will be peace and happiness for her people, as well as the people of the three kingdoms.

► Loyalty – If you have somehow managed to get Achara to pledge her allegiance to you, it’s a bond not easily broken. Perhaps it is because it’s something not easily gotten in the first place. She has only truly given herself to the cause of her people, and to her newest alliance. She has grown up knowing people can be so very easily cruel, and if they seem to care, it isn’t often genuine. There is a rare amount of goodness in the world, and innocents is hard to find. All she can hope is that achieving her purpose will make people happy. So should she ever come across this true goodness, she will be undyingly loyal to it.

► Too Selfless – Achara can bury herself in her hopeful promises, feeling others’ problems as her own and striving hard to meet her word. But if she isn’t careful, she can spread herself too thin, and be left unable to help anyone. She doesn’t completely understand her own purpose, so she just tries to meet everyone’s expectations of her, without actually thinking about how it effects her. Rarely does she think of how the way Changkyun treats her may effect her, or how her mothers and their cause might need to be questioned. She just wants to make everyone happy, even if it’s at the cost of her own happiness.

► Too Sensitive – While receptive to criticism, seeing it as a tool become better, it’s also easy for Achara to take it a little too much to heart. Her sensitivity to others means that she sometimes feels problems that aren’t her own and tries to fix things she can’t fix, worrying if she is doing enough. When she is criticized in an overly forceful way or away that is possibly condescending, she will feel weakened inside and try to suppress the urging melt down. This is a serious point of trauma for Achara that comes from her childhood, the booming voices of her mothers’ yelling and the crack of the belt they would hit her with. Her attempts to put on a charismatic and unshakable front, have caused her to actually make this part of her weaknesses stronger.

► Fluctuating Self-Esteem – Achara defines her self-esteem by whether she is able to live up to her ideals and people’s expectations. She sometimes asks for criticism more out of insecurity than out of confidence, even when she fears the actual response. Always wondering what she could do better. If she fails to meet a goal, her self-confidence will undoubtedly plummet. She will then try to over compensate till she reaches a breaking point.

► Prideful – One of the reasons she tries so hard to seem perfect, is because of her pride. She wants it to seem like she can accomplish anything and be the embodiment of perfection, without anyone’s help. Usually this goes her way and she doesn’t have to worry. That is until she actually need help, but is too scared or embarrassed to ask for that help, and it just makes her feel more alone and weak. In the past her pride has ended up making her make mistakes, that caused even harsher criticism of her from her mothers. She if very aware of her pride, and fears it getting the best of her, but because of her upbringing she can’t help but be prideful till it burns her. She isn’t like this so much when she feels comfortable to ask for help, or like she can trust someone to ask them. The other girls at the brothel were mostly kind despite the comparison that they had, and so she felt like she could ask them for help if she ever truly needed it.

► BORN FOR THIS:: Achara was born into a clan of shamans somewhere outside the three kingdoms. Their land had been lost to them by great battles among those kingdoms, causing Achara’s people to become nomads. The day of her birth, a member of her clan had a vision of Achara one day bringing a king to his knees, and so as a means to seek revenge, a plan was hatched. Achara was brought to Dalbyeol where she was raised by three strategically picked members of her clan. Her mothers raised her in the art of becoming a thief, until she was old enough to be recruited by a brothel where she would learn how to be an elegant seductress. Achara grew up being shown effection and love when she was successful, but hatred and loathing when she failed. On nights after she was beaten for not performing well, Achara would sleep in a corner of her room where she could see the sky from a small window. The cat who they got to deal with the mice, became very attached to her, and would huddle up with her to comfort the crying child. Achara couldn’t handle being less then perfect, and forced herself to suppress whatever might hold her back. Her emotions and weakness were reserved for when she was alone and no one could hurt her. The greatest values to young Achara were loyalty, admiration, and success. Her mothers’ lessons with Achara continued on in secret as she got older, so that when she was at the age of twenty-one, she was a skilled Whisper.

► HIS PRIZE:: Luckily for her mothers the prince and now king, Changkyun, had been infatuated with Achara for some time. She was an exotic beauty who wouldn’t look his way, and it both enticed and infuriated him. A purposeful act she was instructed upon doing. Now he had a carnal need for her by his side, and would pay the brothel any amount for her to be his and his alone. Naturally you comply to what your king says, and soon Achara was the most prized possession of the Monster King. He showered her in gifts and luxury and would do anything to keep her to himself. Nobody else could have her. Achara felt conflicted inside because part of her loved the way he showed her attention, proclaiming how he loved her. Another part new what he said was all material, that she had a mission to uphold, and a purpose. Though even having heard it over and over, she could never fully understand it. One day Changkyun was intending to visit Namjoo and part of the army, and brought along a caravan of his servants and personal guard for the journey. Though not often, Changkyun would have Achara join him as company, and at first it seemed like any other time he has done this. Except the Hwail army had gotten wind of the king’s intent to visit her troops, and planned an ambush. Luckily for Dalbyeol, the king was safe and the guards were able to fend off the small group of soldiers who attacked. However through the event, Achara had run off to escape a Hwail soldier. When she finally stopped running, she found herself completely lost in the forest.

► HIS ALLY:: The king was furious when he realized they had lost his most prized possession, who was now likely dead. Needless to say his trip to visit the army was now fuelled with even more anger then normal. But for Achara, she was determined to find some sort of civilization. Eventually however, she stumbled upon the Yul army. Whom she promptly passed out in front of, after the long days and nights of walking she endured. After Sanha treated Achara and she finally awoke, she was requested to meet the prince. Her surprise turn up was suspicious to say the least. Euikyeol wanted to make sure she wasn’t a threat, and get to the bottom of who she was. Naturally Achara tried to be her charming and persuasive self. Stating that she was King Changkyun’s consort, and that he would be pleased to have her returned. Euikyeol didn’t buy this, so he pulled out his sword and much more threateningly demanded he know who she is and what her purpose was. Why he shouldn’t just kill her. This approach wasn’t exactly his thing, but she didn’t need to know that. Achara may have always put on a stoic and seductive facade, but on the inside she was trained to steal and slip away. Very rarely (meaning only one other occasion) was she ever faced with the tip of someone’s sword being pointed at her , easily able to puncture her heart. This made Achara crack, and begin to beg the prince to spare her. She was truly the King’s consort, but she wasn’t just a useless prize. In exchange for her life she told Euikyeol of what her clan had raised her to know: that one day she would bring a king to his knees. She bargained that if he were to spare her, she would pledge her allegiance to Yul and help free them from any obligation toward Dalbyeol, by putting an end to the Monster King. This notion shifted Euikyeol’s position, and he withdrew his sword, stating they could negotiate those terms. He wasn’t sure if he wanted Changkyun dead, but his questionable behaviour had been getting much worse recently. Yul needed Dalbyeol, but if they could find the right time when Yul could function without them, perhaps it would be in Euikyeol’s kingdoms’ best interests to deal with Changkyun. Achara would stay with him in his quarters (he wouldn’t intend for them to share a bed because it’s Euikyeol we’re talking about lol, they need to keep up appearances), and offer her Whisper skills when needed, all while the two of them would hatch a plan to bring down Dalbyeol when the time was right. But as time passed Achara found the way Euikyeol treated her was less like a jewel to boast about and keep locked up, but a person whose’s skills he respected. What they were planning was dangerous, and so nobody else could know. This created a bond between them, something no one else could understand. But Euikyeol is almost completely clueless about women, and Achara is the definition of seduction when she wants to be. So she questioned if he felt how she felt, since he didn’t act in the obvious way Changkyun did when showing affection. It would be a lie if Euikyeol said he hadn’t thought about Changkyun sitting on his thrown with Achara beside him, and fantasizing about one day sitting on his own throne with her by Euikyeol’s side instead. She was a dangerous prize to be won, but it would be naive to think that’s all she is.

► Mother Paek | beorc | Whisper | Wind | She is the most strict with Achara, giving her her instructions and lessons and advice, and not interacting much with her outside of making sure Achara is doing what she needs to be doing. Truthfully they have the least toxic dynamic.

► Mother Rin | beorc | Whisper | Fire | She is the most violent with Achara, besting her and pulling her hair when she was a child. Now she slaps her and belittles her verbally when Achara under purformes, Of isn’t successful enough. Achara is most scared of her, and tries to hold back her tears and emotions when Shen is around.

► Mother Baan | beorc | Whisper | Ice | She knows the most about Achara’s purpose, and seems almost insane the way she goes on and on about it. She will yell violently at Achara one minute, then be early calm and attentive with her. Though Shen may be insane, Achara doesn’t fear her the most.

► Im Changkyun | beorc | King-Dark Archsage | Light | Changkyun views Achara as a luxurious possession thst only he is allowed to posses. You can only imagine what he would do if someone looked at her the wrong way. He spoils her with whatever she pleases, so long as she knows her body belongs to him alone. She doesn’t hate him for the way she treats him, but she knows she will feel better once he is dealt with.

► Ran Euikyeol | beorc | Prince–Vanguard | Anima | After Changkyun assumes she is dead and she winds up finding the Yul army, the young prince confronts her. Their private confrontation leads Achara to dedicating her loyalty to Euikyeol and his kingdom off Yul. They form a secret allegiance to bring down Dalbyeol, or at least deal with the Monster King, when the time is right. They are staging their relationship as “special companions” *wink wink* *nudge nudge*, but their bond become so more serious and their relationship becomes much more then business.

► Chae Soojung | beorc | Light Priestess | Ice | Achara never had many friends, and the ones she did have at the brothel, she rarely got to see anymore ever since she became the property of the king. But since coming to Yul, and being so close to Euikyeol, Achara was bound to meet and spend time with Soojung. She could swear she had never met a kinder soul, and immediately felt like Soojung would be like an older sister type. But then the realization hit that they both were in love without the prince of Yul. Yikes. That complicates things. Needless to say they are friendemies. They’d be fine one moment, then go for days without talking. They are both jealous of each other for very different reasons, but ultimately both care for Euikyeol.

► Loves Cats — They are her favourite animal, and a sort of emotional comfort to her, since she had one as a child. Achara will literally drop everything if she sees a kitty.

► Dancing — She knows various dance styles, since she was taught them at the brothel. Achara is very skilled because of how flexible she is, a hidden plus for her knife wielding.

► Painting & Drawing — This was a very enticing skill to learn at the brothel, since it makes the girls seem classy and educated. However mostly she finds it to be a enjoyable pass time, and a bit therapeutic.

► Knives — Achara considers knife throwing to practically be an art in and of itself, one in which she is the most skillful. She is extremely accurate, though she would rarely if ever show off this talent in public while in Dalbyeol.

► Clothing — Part of her obsession with fashion is to help her self-esteem, but also to keep people off guard. She can hid stuff in her clothes, like weapons, but most of all who would assume such a beautiful women could be dangerous?

► Reading — When you don’t usually get to do a lot during the day, you tend to find ways to entertain yourself. Naturally Achara found that reading was a good escape, and it is now among her favourite things to do.

► Habits — Achara puckers her lips when she is deep in thought, or consecrating hard. She will clench her firsts when frustrated or trying to control and hold herself back. Also she tends to be flirtatious almost constantly, especially when she wants something.

► Fears — Her greatest fears are that she won’t fulfill her purpose, making her existence pointless, and that she will die without actually understanding or experiencing basic aspects of life such as happiness and love.

► Wishes — Though she often keeps these secret and repressed, Achara has always wished to one day be free from her mothers’ expectations and her supposed purpose. She also yearns to be married one day, though at one point she thought perhaps Changkyun would marry her, she knows now she wouldn’t be truly happy with him.

► Red & Purple — Achara’s two favourite colours are red and purple, since red is associated with strength, passion and love. Where are Purple means creativity, devotion, and peace. However people often assume she likes them because they are connected to luxury and royalty.

► Horses — She’s always wanted to learn how to ride a horse, since it seems so freeing. However the opportunity has yet to come her way. If she had the opportunity, she knows she would be obsessed with it.

► Politics — People like to assume there is little to no substance in that pretty little head of hers, but after her mothers spent years teaching her both combat as well as politics and how the workings of government and court work, she picked up a genuine interest in politics.

► Tea — Her favourite drink is tea, and prefers fruity and floral flavours. She has a hobby of making her own tea bags, and can rattle on about the history of tea and all the different herbs she is using. One of her friends from the brothel taught her everything she knows, and Achara makes tea when she misses her friends.

► Alcohol — Has a surprisingly high tolerance, but doesn’t enjoy it much. She can get drunk after one bottle, and gets very open about her emotions and feelings.

► Mannerisms — Achara carries herself as elegantly as a nobleman’s daughter would, but is as sneaky and persuasive as you would expect from a Whisper. Not to mention she is probably the most seductive person you’ll ever meet. She was a favourite among the ladies who managed her brothel, because of just how crazy she could make people. All of these mannerisms were key to getting Changkyun to fall for her.

► I know I am meant to defeat him somehow. But I have been his property for years, my body, his prize. No matter what clothes and jewels he has gotten me...I know deep down he doesn’t actually care about me as a person. I can’t say I hate him, but he doesn’t have my true loyalty.
