- Anthony is a businessman doing trade with Korea, and is a close friend of the prince and the Duke. He is known for his great travels and having learnt Korean, making him a well respected man.
- He is believed to be a bastard, his father an Earl’s son in Britain, his mother a merchant’s daughter. The marriage before his father and mother’s deaths is believed to be fake. His mother’s family believe she was tricked, his father believe he was trapped. The truth is, the marriage was entirely legal. But this isn’t known, so his grandfather’s title is likely to pass to his sleazy nephew. However Anthony is the rightful heir, but nobody knows it.
- This is why he has been allowed to travel the world and get into business. His grandfather favours him, but legally it’s believed he can’t give Anthony his estate.
