Forced dreaming to be the best Student. She is indeed one of the top students at Baekjae High and her intelligence is far above the average. She has great analytical skills and can figure things out with little information. After going home from school, she has a variety of private lessons that she have to take until 2-3 in the morning so it is natural if she could pass finals with ease and got straight A's in every subject save to P.E. It's not her fault if he's bad at sports. Almost the whole students also said that the P.E class was so exhausting.

She is NOT afraid of anything. Wild animals? They won't bother you if you don't bother him, right? Ghost? Ha, They're just fictional creatures, they aren't real. She had long stopped believing things that have appeared in movies or television series since falling from the balcony 9 years ago. Criminals? Well, she didn't master any martial arts other than running so she'll run as fast as she can. Running is also an effort to defend yourself right? It doesn't mean she's afraid anyway.

There is no graceful word in her dictionary. Treated like a princess at home doesn't always means she'll be a graceful and polite princess like the ones in fairytales. The way she dresses is indeed elegant cause she is forced to do so. But her behavior? Arguably far from graceful words. She smirks like a demon, laughs like a witch, angry like a wild animal, eats like a hungry beggar, walked and sit like a transgender. Ah, trangenders may still be more graceful than her. But what can she do? She does come from a distinguished family, but no one had taught her how to behave politely and gracefully.

Brutally Honest. She go with facts rather than opinions or ideas. Her brutal honesty is both refreshing and hard-hitting in equal measure. If you ask her what she is thinking, she will tell you, bluntly and in minute detail. Some peoples might either get offended or think she is rude, when they hear truth. But honesty is not just about telling the truth. It’s about being real with yourself and others about who you are and what you want. It will be more painful if you know the truth when it's already late, just because you are complacent with lies that give you false pleasure.

Possessive as hell. When jaein love and care about someone, she thinks that she's entitled to them. She's not happy when they are having fun without her. The reasons behind this personality are fear of loneliness and lacks belief in faithfulness, so she does everything to demonstrate ownership and superiority over them.

The biggest snob ever. Yeah, you're not wrong if you call her like that. She's so arrogant that she considers others as lower-class. She had alway been treated like a princess in his family since she was still in womb, so it was natural that her mindset would be like that. But deep down inside, she has softer side that will surprise you. She just doesn't want to look weak in front of her parents and grandfather.

The real stubborn person. She is very stubborn when it comes to arguing her point. The problem is, she doesn't think she have a problem and has trouble admitting when she is wrong. So every suggested solution is considered an insult, except if it came from Sojin or Sojin's father. She only hear what suits her and listen only to respond.

Jaein was born into the couple who were anticipated to be the heir of one of the largest companies in South Korea. As soon as her mother stopped feeding her, she was practically raised by the baby sitters and maids who were hired by her parents.

Her parents were always busy working and working. Since the age of 3, her parents began hiring tutors to give her various private lessons such as piano lessons, ballet, etc. which of course were not really needed by children her age. What she really wanted was time to play, but when she was given the time to play around 15-30 minutes between her private lessons, she did not know what to do since she did not have friends. Fortunately their new driver had a daughter the same age as her. Her name is Sojin. Sojin really admired all the toys Jaein had while Jaein was secretly envy of Sojin who could always spend a lot of time with her father. These two naturally become close despite having the opposite personality.

Jaein's grandfather was a very strict person with all the rules that must be obeyed in their family, both written and unwritten, so when he thought that Jaein's father was not ready to hold one of their company's subsidiary, he assigned him and his wife to take care of one of their company's branches overseas. It was how Jaein and her family (including Sojin and her father) moved to Sydney and lived there for almost 13 years.

Since starting school, the private lessons she had to take were increasing in number each year. She never had time to go to play outside the house because of that. She also never really had any friends other than Sojin considering her arrogant nature and always valuing everything with money.

The day came when she got so bored with all the private lessons she had to take even on weekends, so she planned to run away from home. She really wanted to go to the amusement park since she heard Sojin's story that there were lots of fun rides there. Therefore, at the break during his private lessons, she tried to run through the window of her room which was on the second floor with the balcony-climbing-method she had learned through the television series. Long story short, she fell from the balcony. And this was where she met her savior, her Hero. He saved her live. He caught her when she fell earlier.

At first Jaein thought that the person was a human trader when she found that he even followed her to the amusement park, but after spending the whole day playing together and even drove her home safely, Jaein found that he was just a lonely teenager who hoped someone would remember him. That's why Jaein promised to remember him since he saved her life and even wanted to accompany her to play all day long. And Jaein never forgets that promise. Never!

9 years have passed since that incident, and Jaein and her family returned to South Korea when his father was assigned to be the President Director of SK Hynix, the largest subsidiary of Hynix Corp based in Haecheon, meanwhile Jaein's mother was assigned to be the CEO of the company. Jaein was worried because she had never heard the name of the city before, afraid that he should live in a secluded village and have to attend the same school with lower-class students, but after learning through the internet that Haecheon had a more modernized downtown area, she became very excited to live there and can't wait to enter one of the best schools there. Who would have thought that she would meet her Hero - who had only appeared in her dreams - there?

Dr. Jo smiled, stopped at a distance that wouldn't make Hero feel threatened by him. "I came to check on you, but you weren't there. If you want to go here, you should be waiting for me." Dr. Jo spoke, raising his voice so that Hero could hear him clearly.

Hero remained silent, pretending not to hear it, until Dr. Jo walked to the nearby guardrail and leaned there. He looked down. "Wow, this is so high. If you jump down there, it will take a long time until you get down there. It must be very painful. Just imagine, when you jump in, you have enough time to regret your actions, but you can't come back anymore because it's too late. And once you get down there, you think everything will end? Do you think you'll stop suffering? Can you see the people you love suffer because of you? Do you think you can go in peace? Not wanting to live doesn’t mean you should end things. Hero himself is too excited to enjoy his freedom in the outside world, no longer has to be confined in a hospital room filled with the smell of medicine. He is free now. He can go anywhere and as far as he wants without needing to take a lot of time. He can go to school for as long as he wants. He can date any girl he wants. He can do anything, as long as he doesn't make a problem for their race.

What Hero didn't like was that he and other members of Jo family had to move to various countries every decade, since people would begin to be suspicious of them. That meant that every decade he needed to change his identity, so that there was never anyone who really remember him, for more than a century and a half he roamed the earth. Or so he believed, before he met a little girl who promised to remember him and really trailed him like a guard pup later when he met the girl a few years later in Haecheon.

They first met when Jaein was 8 years old and still lived in Sydney, Australia. She always wanted to go to an amusement park, but her parents were always busy so they never had time to take her there. Unfortunately, her room was on the second floor. She had learned several ways to climb a balcony from a television series, so she was so confident in her plans. But what she doesn't know was, scenes in television series are always different from events in the real life. You can guess what happened next. Jaein fell from the balcony. When she was resigned to her life, she learned that she had not fallen to the ground. Someone caught her. She looked up to see her savior only to find a young man in a school uniform.

Youngwoong was about to go back to meet the girl he was dating, but somehow his heart kept asking him to look after the little girl. He indeed felt a strange jolt the moment he catch the little girl.
