Personality. 

Lee Yeowoon is an outgoing and energetic person, he's easy to approach and has this welcoming and active vibe to him that makes him stand out. With the addition of his soft attractiveness, he easily draws attention whenever he opens his mouth. He's a social butterfly and makes friends every where he goes, but Yeowoon is a loyal person. He might have a lot of friends and acquaintances, but once he truly cherishes a person in his heart, he would immediately give up his time for this person instead of his other friends. He would do anything for them and would give them his unconditional support and love. Rarely do anyone receive his loyalty, but once he's devoted to someone, nothing will waver him. So while he does have a lot of friends, he's a bit conservative on who is his 'close friends'.

A well-educated person, he's intelligent, resourceful and clever. He's quick to solve problems, no matter what it is, and always use anything he has in order to solve it. A master at puzzles and games, he always like to think outside the box. He enjoys working his brain and often likes to watch or read mystery books, he loves solving puzzles and always has some sort of crossword, wordsearch or sudoku book with him at all time. It's his little hobby. Yeowoon also is very knowledgable. His brain is a big place with random facts and knowledges that he picked up and remembered. He's quite smart and was often the highest achieving student in his class. Because of this, he's an arrogant person. A rich boy who studied in a rich and elite high school in South Korea and Germany, he's sometime a bit boastful and do look down on those who are not as intelligent as himself. He often gloats about his wealth and achievements. He sometime does it uninetionally too. But it's expected coming from a spoiled son of a rich family.

Yeowoon is an extremely creative person. He loves art and portraying his ideas and imaginations into a canvas or paper. He is imaginative and often thinks outside of the box. His ideas are often original or tweaked to fit his style specifically. It itches Yeowoon whenever someone suggests to copy someone's ideas or to do something that has already been said or listed and always tries to come up with his own ones. He is rather impulsive too. Yeowoon would use whatever he has come up on the spot and do it without thinking. He hates rigid planning and acts whenever he feels like it. He is a person of instinct and doesn't think until later. Like when he worked so hard on his art assignment and nearly finished when he decided to something else instead of his original plan. (He got a bad score for that) Or when he decided to spend his savings to buy an overpriced present for his mom and found out that she has it already. (He got in big trouble for that). Even so he couldn't stop himself from being impulsive. This personality trait of his could be his downfall in the later future.

One of Yeowoon's stand out personality traits is his ambition and stubbornness. He's an incredibly ambitious person. He's someone who loves to aim for the impossible and work hard to reach it. Once he wants something, he will get it. He will do anything to achieve it, no matter how difficult. This is something he learned from his mom and father. To be ambitious, to reach for the impossible. Because of this, Yeowoon always manages to improve. He's eager to prove himself and desires success. That's why he can be stubborn. He's hard-headed and hard to waver. Once he sets his mind and heart into something or someone, he sticks to it like a stubborn mule.

Yeowoon can be sometime a bit insensitive. While he does have a lot of friends, he's not a 'feeling' type of person who can empathise with other people. He's more about logic, facts and fairness. When it comes to arguments and fights, he doesn't care about other people's feelings, what he cares about are truths, logic and fairness. He looks at the bigger picture and simply solve the problems through that. Even those he are loyal to, he might give his unconditional love and support to them, siding with them, but if he thinks they are not right, he will correct them.

Background.

The second and youngest child of a rich family, Lee Yeowoon was born on the 16th of April 1998 and brought up to be a spoiled son. He is often showered with whatever he wanted and wished for and there's nothing he doesn't have. His father is a highly-respected CEO and his mother is a formidable woman of high position, his older brother is also an intelligent young man pursuing business in an elite university. Yeowoon was born into a family full of businessmen and women. As a young child, he had always been a black sheep. Rather than maths, he often favour drawing more, even if it's scribbles. He was 7 years old, 2005, when his father and mother had to travel to Germany for work, they decided to bring him with them as well since they're working on an extremely big project. He was admitted into a German primary school 'Willemerschule' in Frankfurt.

He was the only Asian boy in his class but while he was sometime make fun of for eating different food from other kids, he was often liked by others and had a lot of friends. In class he was often one of the brighter students and was often praised for his intelligence. He started getting into music when he was 8 years old where he was taught violin. He quickly fell in love with it and demanded his parents to allow him private lessons for violin. That was the start of his music passion. Living in Germany had to be one of the best times of his lives. Even though his parents were busy with work, he often went out with his nanny where he would be able to ride trams, sightseeing, visit the zoos or museums. Germany left a huge impression on him. He was 10 years old when he entered into Goethe-Gymnasium. There, he was challenged academically with other kids who were just as smart and bright as he was.

He was 11 years old, 2009, when he and his parents moved back to South Korea. He didn't like being in Korea and wished to return to Germany, he threw a big tantrum about it but when his parents told him that they would allow him to continue on with his violin, he relented. At school, in South Korea, he strived in subjects like art, music and drama. Even though he was a smart and clever student who did well in other subjects, the scores were not as good as his art, music and drama scores. His parents, who wanted him to pursue business, were disappointed and started insistently pushing him into mathematics and Korean. Still slightly salty and mad about not being in Germany, like the spoiled child Yeowoon was, he did the opposite.

Yeowoon started liking korean pop when he was 14 years old. Groups like SNSD, SHINee, Super Junior and Big Bang became a big thing for him. He loved their music and wanted to do the same as well. He loved their stages and performances. Yeowoon turned 15 years old when he decided he will become an idol. When he told his parents of his intentions, they were, of course, were like dragons being tickled awake. They didn't want him to stray from the family's path. But Yeowoon argued hard and persistently. It was a brutal and ongoing fight that lasted for a year before his parents relented with a "you will never be able to survive as an useless idol". Yeowoon wanted to prove them wrong. He auditioned for WM Entertainment in Decemeber 2013 and started training in 2014.
