luna's parents were raised in america. they met in high school and dated, and then they got married right after they graduated high school. it seems fast, but they've always had a healthy relationship. they had children very early, right after they got married, but instead of one child, they got two identical twins.
luna is the second twin, younger than her sister by two minutes. when they were children, luna and lucy did everything together. they studied together and goofed off together, took piano lessons together, slept and showered together. they both had great grades and did a lot of extracurriculars, up until middle school.
in middle school, they started to distance themselves. lucy made friends with other people, and luna met other people as well. whereas lucy's friends were all high-achieving kids, luna's friends introduced her to anime. immediately, luna loved it. she liked watching her favorite characters go on amazing adventures, and she loved writing fanfiction about them in other worlds. luna wanted to experience adventure for herself, though she knew it'd never come to herself, and if it did, she'd probably be too scared to go.
like this, her grades fell. not by much, but compared to lucy's straight-a-pluses and multiple academic clubs, luna's a-minuses were pretty much a failing grade. her parents grew angry and monitored her homework every day after school, nagging at her to 'become more like lucy'. because of this injustice, luna grew to resent lucy. it wasn't just this one incident; lucy loved attention, and she knew how to get it, so their parents and teachers would always praise her. luna knew she was no worse, probably even better in some aspects, but she didn't like to brag, so her skills were never recognized, and she felt cheated.

SCHEDULE luna gets up early, unfortunately, because of her sister. lucy drives monday, wednesday, and friday, and luna drives tuesdays and thursdays. luna drives less because she's honestly ready to fall asleep at any given moment. after they get to school, as long as they don't have council things to do, luna and lucy split up. luna does music, so every wednesday, an hour after school ends, luna drives to her piano teacher's house for lessons. other than that, she just has student council on thursdays. she 'does homework' late into the night, but mostly, she procrastinates until it's like 1am and then rushes to get her work done.

LIFESTYLE luna's friends in high school (other than the applicant group, i assume) are thankfully not anime nerds. they're sort the outcast group, those who enjoy learning and yet are never the top. she sort of feels left out because she feels like they don't care about her, but there's only one more year left, so she's sticking it through for now.
(i honestly have no clue what to put here, but basically, luna is pretty chill, but she feels lonely. she can sometimes feel very sad, and she'll be very emotional, talking about life and existentialism and humanity, but she usually gets over those phases easily. usually, she laughs a lot and prefers to believe that life is good. she tries to be optimistic.)

- jisung isn't the best student, which is why luna was surprised when she finally admitted that she liked him. he was always the class clown, sacrificing his own image to make other people laugh, and especially when other kids tried to pressure luna into doing something stupid, he was swoop in and save her from embarrassment. at first, she hated that since it made her seem weak, but then she realized that he was genuinely trying to be nice. they became friends, and he constantly texts her for homework. she might or might not give him the answers, depending on her mood. they're not dating yet, but prom is coming up and she hopes that someone *coughSOMEONE* will ask her out.

hello, thank you for agreeing to meet me for an interview! i'm allie jeong from newspaper, and if you don't mind, please state your grade and name. of course! i'm luna lee, a senior.
great! now, my story this issue will be about stress levels at summit high. would you say that you are stressed regularly because of schoolwork? uh... yes? i mean, i'm pretty sure every senior is stress because of college, but yeah, it's that plus the pressure from family, competition with other people you know, and generally just, sometimes you don't know how to do your work, but you don't want to ask, so you're just sort of stuck stressing about it.
about how many hours a week do you spend studying on average? maybe like... half an hour each day? so that's two and a half hours. not counting homework, of course, since that takes up... a lot more time. how much? uhh... let's just say i don't sleep quite as much as i should.
what other factors in your life other than school gives you stress? i play piano, and i'm on the student council. that takes up a lot of my time. my parents are also pretty strict about my grades, and my sister annoys me a lot.
do you have a message towards the faculty at summit high about students and stress levels? they would probably slaughter me, so i think i'll, ah, respectfully decline from answering that, haha.
