Secrets Revealed: 4 diet and workout 'tips' to get that 'ulzzang body' or 'kpop idol body'

we all want that summer body! 

i mean, at least i do. so i have put down a series of workouts that will allow you to achive the ulzzang body with effort, but not by becoming underweight or unhealthy.

step one: diet...Intermittent fasting

look, i hate diets. but your diet doesn't have to consist of restriaining calories, or only eating one apple a day! No no no no no. Just have a healthy balanced meal that is not so small that you feel hungry after.

the objective of dieting is to lose weight. so therefore it makes complete sense to limit our calories and to eat as little sugar and fast food as possible, right?. wrong the reason you should not give up 'bad' food right away, is because restricting your calories too much is a huge factor of binge eating which leads to massive weight gain. when you starve yourself or limit your calories in an unhealty way, your body starts to hold onto anything you give it so any type of food can start to act like fat. then you make a 'mistake' and you eat something unhealthy. your body will hold onto that weight like it is a firepole. the reason it holds onto the weight so much is because the body is programmed to keep you alive. so if your brain believes it is going through a 'starving time' or 'famine' it will try to protect you and hold onto that weight. therefore making it very hard for you to lose weight, and restrictive eating can become an obsession as well as make you lethargic. i know from experience.

so you may be asking how you can achive a slim figure if you do not have restrictive diets?

well listen up! because today is your lucky day! there is something called Intermittent fasting! That's 16 hours of fasting and eight hours of eating each day. This is often referred to as 16/8 intermittent fasting. if you are interested in a sort of diet DO THIS! just look up any video about it, it is literally magic! basically you fast for a certain amount of hours and "wala boom chica pow" you have abs. JK it takes a little longer than that! buuuut you can still eat pretty much WHATEVER you want! it is literally a dream come true.

basically what Intermittent fasting does to your body is starves the fat in your body without starving your body. because you can still eat fairly large portions and not gain fat or weight. it is a MUCH healthier way to 'diet'. (*btw i hate the word diet sooo much*)

step two: workout

i personally love working out! but i know a ton of you REALLY don't enjoy it! 

but.. NO PAIN NO GAIN!! jk no pain= no abs, no abs= literally nothing bad. you can still look good without abs -NEWSFLASH-

Just follow these steps. you won't regret it.

HITT/ full body

  • 45 sec. jumping jacks
  • 45 sec. commandos 
  • 45 sec. high knees
  • 45 sec. alternating oblique dip
  • 45 sec. half burpees
  • 45 sec. burpees (no pushup)
  • 45 sec. cross lunges
  • 45 sec. squat jumps.

tip! remember to stretch after your workouts as well as 'rolling' (, foam rolling decreases muscle stiffness, and breaks up adhesions and scar tissues that stop your muscles from functioning properly.) stretching will cause any worked out muscles to become LEAN muscle. aka.not bulky

 

AB WORKOUT ( 11 abs workout)

  • 25 alternating oblique dips (2 sets)
  • 12 leg raised crunches (3 sets)
  • 12 reversed crunches (3 sets)
  • 25 slow mountain climbers (2 sets)
  • 12 bicycle crunches (3 sets)
  • 12 spider crunches (3 sets)
  • 1 min. plank on elbows ( 2x )
  • 1 min. side plank (2x)
  • 12 star crunches (3 sets)

REMEMBER: engage your core (tighten abs and stomach in) if you do not engage your core correctly you risk getting bloated abs. and be sure to stretch your stomach and back after this workout!

LEG/ WORKOUT

"quick note: do not do this if you want a booty. you won't get a booty. especially if you are stretching before, during, and after these workouts. sorry!"

  • 12 hip raises (2 sets)
  • 12 hip raises with one leg up (2 sets ea. side)
  • 12 donkey kickbacks (2 sets)
  • 12 "the inner thigh" (3 sets)
  • 12 leg raises (3 sets)
  • 1 min. high knees
  • 20 min of some form of cardio (ie. dancing, running, swimming, etc.)

if you don't want big glutes. stretch!

 

STEP THREE: stay positive

i know. sounds dumb right?

WRONG

so much of 'becoming thin/toned/fit is becoming confident. so love yourself every step of the way (lol did you get the bts reference)

tips;

  1. treat yourself every once in a while. just do it. and DON'T regret it! (you only have one life)
  2. don't eat after 7 pm
  3. drink 8 glasses of water a day! this will boost your metabolism so much!!! ahhh! water is so great
  4. take a 'before' picture. and don't anything in. You want to see results right? no matter how 'fat/ ugly' you feel. take that picture because if you stick to finding a sport you love, or working out you WILL see results. i guarentee that 20000000% 
  5. eat to feel good, not to feel thin. if you want to find the perfect 'diet plan' for you. remember to think "will this make me feel good?" even if it is a cookie! if you think one or two cookies would make you feel good. do it. just don't be excessive! 
  6. DON'T STARVE OR LIMIT CALORIE INTAKE! DO NOT FOCUS ON THAT YOU WILL GAIN WEIGHT FASTER AND YOU COUD DEVELOP DISORDERS THAT CAN STAY WITH YOU FOREVER! i still struggle with limiting my calories because i will feel 'bloated' or 'fat' or whatever stupid thing. because it limiting your calories makes you gain weight faster, sometimes i will get mad at myself for being like "oh my gosh if i eat two peices of bread i will get bloated! oh no.!" so i eat three. get over your mental disorder, fight it! if you give it the opposite than it wants you to do, you will be the one in control or in charge. btw you can eat 15 peices of bread and be exactly the same weight you were in just a few days. RELAX! YOU WILL BE OK!
  7. don't workout whenever you feel bloated. workout 30 min to an hour after to let your food be digested
  8. don't make working out a point you put over other priorites. don't be like me in 5th grade. ya i know sad.. whatever i am better now? it has been quite a few years
  9. say today is going to be a great day everytime you wake up. say 3 things you are greatful for then get out of bed,
  10. make your bed every morning as well as brush your teeth
  11. right when you wake up drink 2 glasses of water
  12. workout before you have breakfast! this will cause you to burn fat faster, but try not to get your heart rate too high in the mornings because you will start to burn glycogen instead of fat.
  13. clean your room
  14. write a journal/ health journal
  15. meditate whenever you feel stressed. 
  16. don't go on your phone before bed
  17. get out of the house for minimum 10 min a day
  18. study not only schoolwork but what you love!

STEP FOUR: apply these things in your weekly, monthly, daily routine!!

if you want to look like an ulzzang before summer. during summer. or after summer. you have to start sometime!
