background:
saebyeol was born in suwon to two middle-class workers. she grew up pretty normally, and her parents really pushed for her education. they moved schools a lot so that saebyeol could go to the best school possible. However, this meant that saebyeol would leave her friends and come into a new environment where she didn't know anyone. As a shy kid, all saebyeol wanted was to stay at a single school where she knew people, but that didn't happen until middle school, in 2007, when she made it into a school known for its high test scores. Her parents were satisfied and stopped moving so much. here, saebyeol finally made some friends. They introduced her to kpop. Immediately, saebyeol 'fell in love' with BigBang and decided that she would become a kpop idol. With her friends, she began to sing kpop songs.When saebyeol was in middle school, her parents told her they would support her journey to be a kpop idol. She thought they only cared about her education. Of course they did, which was why they said they would only support her if she continued to have good grades. She studied harder than she ever had before, and when she was 15 (2012), she auditioned for SM entertainment.
She continued to study and train at the same time, even though it was hard, but she kept her high grades, and in 2014, saebyeol debuted as a member of red velvet.

history:
saebyeol first saw jinhwan backstage, when they debuted. red velvet was promoting dumb dumb, and ikon had just debuted. as rookies, ikon had to greet all of their seniors. saebyeol was actually in the bathroom when they came, so when she came back, they were already walking out. she accidentally bumped into jinhwan, and he apologized profusely. she didn't think it was a big problem, so she just told him that it was okay and wished him luck on their debut.Afterwards, they kept bumping into each other backstage, once in January 2018 when Red Velvet was promoting Bad Boy and ikon was promoting Love scenario. Love Scenario was a huge hit, and when they saw each other backstage, Jinhwan smiled and told her, 'thanks to your luck, we're doing well today.' saebyeol didn't really know what to say or do, so she just congratulated him. They met again in August 2018 when Red Velvet was promoting Power Up and ikon was promoting Killing Me. They already knew each other bit, but backstage is busy!! So all they really did was say hi and congratulate each other.

Jinhwan is the eldest member of ikon, which means that he needs to be patient in order to deal with s. He's not the best leader and tends to stay back when dealing with issues, but when needed, he's always ready to step in and break up a fight or resolve an issue. He notices the small things, like everyone's coffee order or small nervous tics, and remembers them, making sure that he takes care of everyone. He's usually the one ordering coffee or making sure that everyone feels alright since he knows everyone's small quirks, and the others depend on him a lot.However, while Jinhwan typically doesn't get angry easily, he has a bad temper. When he does gets mad, he turns violent and will resort to physical means to resolve the issue. No one should go near him when he's mad since he will hurt people. Also, with people he's not familiar with, he can seem very cold and like he doesn't care. Chances are, he really doesn't, not unless you really impress him, but as long as you talk to him and he warms up to you, he'll accept you. He's also really sensitive about negative comments (esp towards his height and career) and can fall into periods of self-loathing where he does nothing but talk trash about himself.
