So the other day someone commented on a deleted blog post of mine about choosing the next ships for my wolfau series [I usually leave it up for a few hours and if I don't get any votes I delete the blog and repost again to see if I can get any votes] asking why I write only pairings.

First of all, I didn't mean to come off as rude when I said that it's due to my preferences as a writer who doesn't write females very well and a kpop fan who knows very little girl groups. [Off the top of my head I only know maybe 3 or 4 groups] Apparently I sounded rude when all I did was state why I only did pairings. So I apologize?

Second of all, I didn't even downvote your comment. I left it alone after commenting, knowing I got my point across after stating why. [I did see said person talk about getting downvoted in someone else's blog about silent readers. not gonna link because casual callouts are just that, casual callouts] [they commented about how I explained my own prefrences and then they said they got their comment downvoted if the first bit sounded confusing]

Third of all, if you look very closely, not every character in my wolfau series is paired with another guy.

Examples:

Daniel of Wanna One and Jisoo of BlackPink: Why did I choose those two? mainly due to them being the same age. And it also made more sense to the story at the time.

Jeonguk of 24k and Rose of BlackPink [using her Korean name Chaeyoung]: Threw these two in more to kind of get the story going. It actually makes more sense due to what happened in the story.

Jei of Fiestar and Jin of BTS: this actually dates back to my very first wolfau story. Back when I only knew only Fiestar off the top of my head when choosing a pairing. This made sense in a way because in the series Jin is Jungkook's father. I had to have Jin with someone because you know. Logic. I wasn't going to write mpreg, nothing against those writers, and I was not about to step into ABOau territory when I've stated several times in several blog posts that this wolfau series clearly isn't one.

Donghun of A.C.E. and Luna of f(x): my most recent story featuring a straight pairing! Even though they weren't technically together and Donghun ended up with Hansol of UNB, Donghun and Luna have a sibling like relationship in the story and still do even though they don't appear as often now.

I have nothing against straight parings. I don't go around asking people why they do only straight ships because I figured you know, they did it because it works for them. unfortunately it doesn't work very well for me.

tldr; I write parings because of my own prefrences. don't like, then there's other authors out there.
