40 Questions for writers

Hai~! Saw this and decided to answer. why not right xD

Also the questions can be found here

Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

Writing in the wolfau genre. I know, it's one of the most overly used genres out there, but it's what i'm pretty much semi known for

Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

Not really? I don't know to be honest with you.

Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?

Hm... Good question. I don't know either

How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?

Lots of them to be honest.

One of my ideas? Maybe something to do with Enhypen and Jaehwan and friends. Those of you who follow me will know who the friends are. It's a complicated plot that I need to work out before I bother with fleshing it out but xD

Share one of your strengths.

Angst. I can write a pretty good angst piece. It's one of my favorite things to write

Share one of your weaknesses.

Fluff. I can't do fluff for the life of me. I can certainly try but it'll just lead back into the angst.

Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

"Why don't you understand that I'm doing this to you for a reason?!" Shouted Beomgyu as he shoved Kai against the wall.

"You've always been the favorite, the baby," he almost snarled out as Kai just stared at him with those damn eyes. "You're such an
idiot," he growled, grabbing Kai by the shirt and lifting him up before slamming him into the wall again.

"I- it's okay," said Kai. "You can take out your frustrations on me," he mumbled, wincing as Beomgyu punched the wall beside his head.

"I'm only frustrated because you won't
fight back," snarled Beomgyu as he pulled Kai away from the wall before throwing him against it again.

Kai stumbled, tripping over his own feet as he fell, grabbing onto the railing as he went tumbling down the stairs, his head hitting each step it seemed before he hit the wall at the next landing.

Beomgyu stood there stunned as he realized he had gone too far this time. "No...no...no!" He screamed as he hopped down the stairs to the next landing, almost slamming into the wall beside Kai as he landed.

"Kai, stay with me kid, please!" He shouted, grabbing onto his brother's shirt as he slightly shook him. "Come on, come on!" He screamed as teachers entered the stairwell when they heard the screaming.

So, fun fact about this post, I pre-wrote it somewhere thinking I wasn't going to post it anywhere. Then I got into doing Beomgyu's spinoff story and just was like "Eh, I'll do it sure why not." It's easily one of my favorite pieces because it explains so much within those few paragraphs.

Beomgyu just. Hm.

Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

Heeseung could only observe how how much Beomgyu changed since they last saw each other, but he did notice how much more at peace Beomgyu was. It was like the time away from each other had changed in everyone, as even Taehyun found himself observing how much the 3 of them changed.

"We've changed, a lot," remarked Heeseung as he, Taehyun and Beomgyu hung out around the city. "It's something that happens with time," agreed Beomgyu as he shrugged, reaching his hand up and fidgeting with the leather cord around his neck.

"I'm surprised you still have that thing," pointed out Taehyun. "It's a keepsake, just like the lighter," sighed out Beomgyu as he dropped his hand, putting it in his pocket. "Besides, you two keep the group photos we took a few years ago, don't lie," he added, smirking at the sighs from Taehyun and Heeseung.

"Just don't get yourselves killed yeah? I don't think my mind can handle it," hummed Beomgyu as he turned and continued walking. Heeseung and Taehyun turned to each other, nodding as a silent promise to stay alive before following after Beomgyu.

So this is actually the end of an epilogue of one of my fics. It tells you that time has passed, and that even Beomgyu has changed. For better or for worse? who knows at this point. It gives a glimpse into the relief of Beomgyu seeing his two best friends again, and him making them promise to not get themselves killed.

Which fic has been the hardest to write?

This one because Kevin is hard to write. Why? Because in my main series where he came from, he's fine and dandy. Here on the other hand, well. Just read and see xD

Which fic has been the easiest to write?

This one due to one thing. Beomgyu was really easy to write. There's no change between both series that he's in. So he was really easy to write.

Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?

It's just a hobby at this point.

Is there a moment above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?

The moment I know I can finish a chapter when I'm looking at mvs from the groups I'm writing about. MVs are a big inspiration for my fanfics believe it or not. I explained this already but I look at music videos to give me a path into writing certain people. Stage presence really helps with that too.

What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?

Changing up the way I write certain scenes would definitely catch readers attentions. I managed with one or two stories here and there. I think I'll manage again when the time comes.

What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across?

I don't know to be honest with you. I just do my own thing

If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?

Hm... Probably Gunil's story just to see what someone could do with it. I think it'd be cool.

If you only could write one pairing for the rest of your life, which pairing would it be?

I'm an odd ship writer so that's a hard one. There ain't no canon here xD

Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

Start to finish! It's easier for me, but I plan out the beginning and ending and just work my way to it.

Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?

Nope

Stephen King once said that his muse is a man who lives in the basement. Do you have a muse?

Oh look, I forgot to feed my slave in my basement. jk, don't call the police on me

Describe your perfect writing conditions.

Sitting at my desk, going through the last chapter before starting a new one. Or if I'm working on one I will continue working on that one

How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

At least twice. As an ex-RPer, I usually have to review my posts before I post them. It's the same for my chapters it seems xD

Choose a passage from one of your earlier fics and edit it into your current writing style.

Well, looks like I won't be answering this one due to not knowing what to choose xD There's so many I could change, but I won't. It tells me how much I've changed in terms of writing anyway

If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?

Probably Changgu's story. I'd do it just to clear things up with how his story ended. It just doesn't feel finished to me.

Have you ever deleted one of your published fics?

Nope.

What do you look for in a beta?

I don't have beta readers tbh.

Do you beta yourself? If so, what kind of beta are you?

I guess I do? I'm not strict with my stuff, but it's mostly because I know what I'm writing and I know how to convey what the characters are feeling or doing at the time.

How do you feel about collaborations?

I'd be down for a collab, if I find the right person.

Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

Ghad20 because they were the inspiration for at least one of my fics. Their Stay Strong series is definitely one of my favorite series to date and has been an inspiration for some of my work.

Lully, from tumblr who inspired me to start writing on here.

FaultyStarlight from RPC, who I started an rp with that eventually turned into one of my most popular series on this platform. Thanks, for getting me started on something that turned into its own series along with having a spinoff xD

If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

Probably Healer by Ghad20. I've been itching to get back into a kingdomau series though, I haven't, due to personal reasons. But I think I can write a prequel, if given permission of course. There's so much I could get into lore wise if I just had the time to write it xD

Also a Stay Strong sequel, by the same person. I think I'd be able to add some groups to that series. It just seems interesting.

Do you accept prompts?

If the prompt seems like something I would write? Yeah

Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant?

Um, I'm a wolfau writer. I don't know how that would work xD

How do you feel about ?

No.

How do you feel about crack?

Could be funny, depending on how it's written

What are your thoughts on non-con and dub-con?

Idk

Would you ever kill off a canon character?

Done that plenty of times

Which is your favorite site to post fic?

Here, and RPC.

RPC is where all my wips are. My finished stuff is here and archived there.

Talk about your current wips.

Well. We get to see Kevin and Woobin interact with each other a bit more. Meanwhile Juyeon and Hyunjae are at each others throats fighting for the best friend postion.

Also Kevin's just oblivious to it all because he has a looming war on his hands along with his sickness coming back. Fun times right?

Talk about a review that made your day.

I asked notice what they thought about a certain chapter that had a death scene in it. notice is a friend and fellow reader. they've been really helpful when it came to providing feedback

They said that most people made death scenes unreadable and oddly inaccurate. But me? I apparently did a great job with describing everything scene by scene. It made my day xD. Especially when I didn't think I did a good job but I was told otherwise.

Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them?

Dude. I write in the most overly used genre in all of fanfiction. What reviews LMAO

I honestly don't get many reviews. Good or bad.

Write an alternative ending to [insert fic title] (or just the summary of one).

Well, this already happened. Spinoff universes and such. You know xD

Beomgyu didn't kill his brother in the main series. In the spinoff universe he did. does that answer that question LMAO

Well, that's it :D I hope you enjoyed reading through this xD
