background Alex was born into a family that seemed perfect. They were rich, happy and good-looking, living somewhere in a penthouse in the middle of Busan. Alex was the only child and he was a young and happy kid, at least it seemed so. But just like his parents, he was a great actor. It was really an acting family, and because of their jobs, his parents were often gone from home. He was basically raised by a nanny with a lack of affection, he was just drilled to enter the idol world and since a young age he was trained by several teachers hired by his parents to teach him music, manners, acting and more. Yeah, his life started out like a kdrama, but he decided to give it a switch by himself.
His parents wanted to have a breakthrough in America, so they risked everything to move there, to Houston. That might not be a good choice to live when you want to become an actor, but his parents were so rushed that they didn't even think about that. While they were trying to get jobs in LA and Hollywood, Alex was left alone in Houston with a bunch of nannies and teachers, again. Under the boy that seemed like an ideal actor and idol hid a little child that had lost so much of his childhood that he wanted to catch onto it. He started to disobey the teachers, ditch their various acting and singing lessons and started to find ways to catch onto his lost childhood. The thing he liked the most? Games. After doing his school homework, Alex would spend the whole evening playing games. He was a good kid, but there was no stopping him. The young teenage boy felt at his best when gaming, so when youtube started to have their rise and Twitch afterwards as well, Alex started to have thoughts of making it his career. He also considered becoming a pro gamer, but he thought the seriousness and pressure weren't cut out for him. Alex didn't want to stick to one game either. Somewhere in late 2012, Alex started his first stream. It was a failure, no one watched and his parents walked in on him when arriving home for a surprise visit. They were fuming when they realised what he has been doing, and when he really started off as streamer and youtuber, they were even more furious. Alex defended himself, but it didn't help, until the nanny talked some sense into their heads, and the parents decided to just let him be. But Alex was very disappointed in them, so he wanted to leave the house asap. Once he turned 18, he moved out of the house and went to live in an apartment at the other side of the city, but he wasn't that popular on Twitch yet and was struggling to keep his head above the water at the start. He pulled through when he suddenly got a sub explosion, and Alex had to not only expand the games he played, but also his platform. In 2013, he started out on youtube as well. The boy never felt this good in his life, but he felt lonely, he spend most of his time streaming, recording or editing at home, so he didn't have many friends anymore. Also, Alex wasn't the type to stick to one thing only. Only games was nothing for him. But he couldn't do anything else except for... singing (but he wasn't exceptional) and acting. Maybe he should give it a try after all? He bought a guitar which he learned to play when he was younger, and started to upload some cover songs and occasionally a fun acting skit. It was received very well.
In 2016, the video got uploaded, the video that would change it all. It was titled '60K likes and I'll apply for Produce 101 season 2!'. He originally thought that it would never reach that amount, and that he would never have to go... But after two weeks, this video actually reached 60k likes. Alex was stunned. But he had promised, so he applied for produce 101 and got in as individual trainee. He prerecorded heaps of videos so that during the months of produce 101, his friends could upload one video from him each week. He also smuggled in some recording equipment to film some secret vlogs of the dorm. He made the... weird choice to perform JYP's Who's your mama on his first appearance. He was unintentionally funny while trying his best, and when he started to do Jessi's rap as well, the other trainees and judges all lost it. He got rank F, and he noticed that his song choices weren't really good, so he listened to advice from the judges, and the re-evaluation was a world of difference, gaining him B rank. On the show, he wanted to try rapping to still break apart from his parents, and he actually turned out to be better at that than singing. Alex really enjoyed performing, and even when he got eliminated right before the finals, he showed great improvement and skills, and he wanted more. That's when Alex decided to start combining his youtube career with training, so he could debut as idol as well. It was going to be extremely exhausting, but youtubers never get much sleep anyway. Alex went back to being a youtuber for a few months to prepare a bit more behind the scenes and also have a bit of a break, and then he joined Star13 in fall of 2017.

youtuber friends :: When Alex plays with people, he plays with these youtubers. It all started with Basically and Daithi, who occasionally played league of legends, and Alex joined the crew that way. He now mostly plays with them and has met them all in real life too. He's one of the younger members of the crew with Miniladd and smii7y, and he mostly plays with Bigjigglypanda, Miniladd, Smii7y and Kryozgaming, because they don't play as much fortnite. He really misses the guys and wants to go to America whenever he gets the chance to meet them. Maybe on the next big gaming convention, he'll get the chance? Started out as gaming twitch streamer in 2012, but has joined youtube in 2013 as well. Mostly Overwatch, League of Legends, golf it, uno, sometimes fortnite and COD and some ing around on sims 4, yandere simulator, Stick fight, GTA V and gmod, also some covers, who are mostly comical but still show his singing and rapping skills, which were kind of a diamond in the rough. His youtube channel is currently around the size of an up and coming youtuber, with 2,2 million subs, and after a collaboration on League of legends with Basicallyidowrk and Daithidenogla a few years ago, he became part of the Vanoss crew, but still plays solo sometimes. He mostly plays with the side that is now SMII7Y, KryozGaming, MiniLadd and BigJigglyPanda. Unlike many other gaming youtubers, he doesn't only play Fortnite at the moment and prefers to keep all his content a mix.

training background Alex didn't train for long at all, because he had been fully fledged out by his parents at a young age already, together with produce 101 season 2. He was almost ready to just get thrown into it all. He needed some time to get adjusted though, his schedule was completely messed up and his youtube fans were waiting for him too. At the beginning, he had some sleepless nights, trying to juggle it all together, but he got way more efficient in his work now. He also had to be teached lots of image related stuff. Youtubers like him curse a lot, and he's used to it, but he can't do that on broadcast. He has to take on a role model image that is not his real self, and he can't let himself go anymore. He also forgot about lots of the Korean culture, so he had to be teached all that as well. It wasn't easy for Alex in this short time, but the people who had the hardest time were his teachers.
