Yes, he did die and was brought back. However due to the times, he was bound to a contract that had him bound to the family until the current heir to the family let him go.

Hyunbin was his presnt owner as of that chapter. Thus the title. So when Hyunbin became the next heir, the contract went straight to him. He had made a promise to let Sanggyun go so that he could eventually come back in a new body. Reincarnation to put it bluntly. As promised he came back. And seeing Hyunbin again brought back memories of his past life. Which in a way does explain the ending.

This is in no way canon to the current wolfau series. It's an AU within an AU I guess xD.

However, it gives a slight hint as to what Sanggyun and Hyunbin's story might be like. And Yedam will make an appearance! Eventually. Depending on what happens. I just threw him in there because eventually he will make an appearance. But not as what you think he might be. Take a guess as to what he might end up being!
