Taejoon was always known to be a very handsome appearance. He got the most opportunities from his group as main guy, the only one who was at a ‘somewhat normal debut age’ at the time of their official debut, and the best looking member. He just has this very appealing, handsome face and body that makes the fans swoon. he is getting chubby though. He’s definitely the most popular member by a landslide, even in a fandom that small. He has sharp features. When put next to Bolin, people would say he’s kind of a softer, less intimidating version of him. But he’s definitely still very good-looking. Currently his hair is dyed a ginger-y red color, which is definitely very fitting for him. He’ll definitely be one of the visuals of the show, even though he’s one of the oldest participants too. He has three tattoos, one on his left leg, one on his right arm and one on his left arm.

STYLE:

Taejoon’s style is quite good, compared to the other members who just wear trainers every day. He’s definitely the group’s fashionista. He has two very prominent styles, and he sometimes combines them. He also looks equally handsome in both of them. The one is the rocker inside him, leather jackets, ripped jeans, chunky boots and all that stuff. He’ll appear rough and handsome and will make all of the fangirls’ rough guy dreams come true. The other side is often less expected because it doesn’t fit his image nor personality, but he likes to sometimes just dress really clean like a businessman. While the others wear sweatpants he might be wearing a full-on costume. It’s really funny how he contrasts the others sometimes.

Humorous and silly: Taejoon is one of the show’s comic reliefs. He’s always able to make people like by his great sense of humor and witty comments. He sometimes is just unintentionally funny too while just doing his own thing. Especially in combination with Moonjae, he’s really able to bring laughter. They are often just really funny while not even trying.

Paternal and sweet: Taejoon isn’t the manager oppa for nothing. He’s a sweet dad-like figure who loves to care for the younger kids (aka most of the show’s participants). Seeing the younger kids so optimistic and hopeful and cheerful makes him melt, and he’ll focus more on making sure the kids are doing well rather than doing well himself. The kids have hope, he doesn’t. He’s just there for one last time before going to lead a regular life. He especially cares a lot for Pomme, because he’s seen some of them grow up. Flirty and flamboyant: Taejoon has had a dating scandal before, but because he’s so unknown, it wasn’t really talked about much. He knows that he appeals to the ladies, so he likes to take advantage of it. He’s a very flirty person, even flamboyant. He flirts with every pretty lady he sees but because he’s so obvious that they’re not the only one he’s flirting with, they leave him. Taejoon, when will you actually be good to the ladies you like so you can get a wife and kids? He’s really digging his own grave here.

Lazy and careless: He tries to not show this for the show and work hard, but Taejoon is actually quite the lazy guy. Procastination is just inevitable for him. It’s something he can’t control. He can’t keep on working hard without taking breaks, he has a shorter attention span and can’t concentrate on something for more than an hour. He doesn’t want to be lazy, but he just can’t help it. He’s also quite careless while often not realising it. That is especially shown in his flirting shenanigans. He just throws himself into things without thinking about the coincidences until they actually come at him.

Dumb: yeah, conclusion of this section: Taejoon is just a . He does all these dumb things and manages to be lazy without actually wanting it. He’s just dumb, and he knows that. He has learned to deal with it and has accepted his dumbness, and often jokes about it. Maybe he can make someone else accept his dumbness as well, because he can’t do anything about it.

BACKGROUND:

Taejoon was born as the oldest of two in a very average family. He was a happy child who loved to run around and play on the playground. One day, the poor boy fell while playing and injured himself. His parents weren’t around because it was on school grounds, but there were some older kids who got concerned and brought him to the infirmary. Ever since, the three boys who were all from different years watched over him like big brothers. Taejoon always wondered why they were friends, because they were all from different years. They told him they followed music school together. Taejoon thought it sounded cool, so he asked his parents to join them. And that would be the start of his career as idol. The boy really liked the guitar, and started to learn it. The four boys always told each other that they should become a band together. And that’s what happened.

When they were young teens, they already started to make covers of songs, but because there was no youtube or something, they just had their fame at their schools and on the streets around their homes in Yeosu. But slowly, the idea grew that they should become trainees. So when Taejoon was 15, they headed out to Seoul to start auditioning. JYP would be the company that accepted them. But that didn’t mean they gave the group any chance. They called themselves L/Deci, a play on loud decibels. Cause they were loud. After four years of rotting in JYP’s basement, Taejoon turned 19, and the group decided to enlist together, and then they would try again. The military duty was hard on Taejoon, because he was still so young and inexperienced, but at least they were done and over with it quickly, and didn’t have to worry about it anymore. And at least they were together.

Their skills were a bit rusty when they returned, but they were determined. They started to finally upload covers on youtube, and started to climb in popularity step by step. They also found a company named Starlight entertainment, who was willing to debut them after some training. They trained until 2015 and were finally able to make their debut. It was heard of, but not popular. But the boys were already glad they had finally made it to the stage. They released one more mv and a few digital singles that didn’t have an mv. But they slowly sunk away into the dungeon of groups no one has heard of. They were doomed to not last long. Especially since they were already quite old. Only Taejoon could still have a promising career, but he refused to do it without the others.

Meanwhile, Starlight started to gather a girl group as well. L/deci all loved the girls with all their hearts. Adorable, young, precious, hopeful girls. Their debut kept getting postponed, and L/Deci were the first to smell that something was wrong. Their payments weren’t coming as well. When the CEO ran off, L/Deci was not surprised. That they were announced as disbanded was just a detail for them, because they were caring for the devastated young girls of Pomme. In the end, Pomme found a new company, but L/Deci was done for. They went back to their roots, busking on the streets and posting covers on youtube.

Produce 101’s newest season was announced, and the men got to know about the news when they were having a drunk night. While being drunk because of the many beer and soju they drank, they applied for the show. Hwan and Byungho weren’t allowed to come, because they were too old, but Moonjae and Taejoon were given the green light. The next morning, they woke up and thought “what have we done?”, but they decided to roll with it, and enjoy their last moments on TV and as idols as much as they could. Even though their old asses definitely won’t be able to keep up with the young hopefuls. At least they will be able to teach the kids about the harsh idol life. Who knew that Pomme would be there too? And who knew that JYP would be L/Deci’s first, and L/Deci’s last…

Taejoon and Jaedeok are best friends. Jaedeok is the member the closest to Taejoon's age, so when they met as little kids, Taejoon of course bonded the most with him. He could play more with Jaedeok than the other two. They have remained best friends ever since, and have this friendly rivalry of competing in everything. No one understands how Minhwan ever got that leader spot, but that was because he always came up with the ideas and the plans. He was also the one who suggested going on the show, even on a drunk night, he is the man with the plan. But in the end he wasn't able to go because the boss didn't accept people 30 and older. You read that right. In L/Deci, you had the sassy y dad, the quiet mom, the alcoholic oldest child and the demonic baby. Weird family, huh. Byungho had to care for this damn family. He still has to. He was the least popular member because he was just barely showing himself in songs and off-stage. But only after disbandment he's been noticed, and he is now a starting actor and model. He might actually help bringing L/Deci back. He really loves to baby Jaedeok and Taejoon, but they don't like it anymore cause they think they're too old now. (fc: Bang Sungjoon)

Manager-oppa, Neoguri-oppa, grandpa, old man. Choa has many names for Taejoon. She just can't take him seriously, just like the rest of Pomme. L/Deci and Pomme are really close, and they're like big sister and little brother. Taejoon is very close with Choa, not only as big bro and little sis, but also just as friends. Keiko is the best girl. Taejoon adores her so much and just melts every time he sees her. He becomes a puddle of soft uwu's because Keiko is just so sweet and cute. The ideal little sister/daughter. Taejoon hopes to raise his daughters like her later on, and that they'll be pretty like her too. They love to act dumb together sometimes, but most of the time Hyebin is just making fun of Taejoon and annoying him. She clowns his every move to the point that she already just laughs when she sees his face, just because she has made him embarassed so many times and she can't take him seriously anymore. Junhee reminds Taejoon a lot of his brother, having quite similar personalities. Therefor he often thinks Junhee is the cutest girl from Pomme. He just loves her so much, and he knows how to handle her because she's so similar to his brother. Taejoon has attempted to baby Jihae before, but she just... kicks his . Jihae doesn't need no love and affection from an old man. Dahee stands on top of Taejoon. She rules over Taejoon. He's basically her dog at this point. It all started with babying her with his fatherly love, but Dahee started to ask for more and more. Now she orders him around and takes advantage of him (to the disagreement of Choa), and Taejoon just can't say no because one bit of aegyo and he'll melt for her. The funny thing is, Dahee calls Jaedeok an old creep for offering warm, secure arms to find comfort in to the other members, while she does always order Taejoon around to give her cuddles when she's not feeling good. PERSONA: the leading man, well, he’s the center of the attention of the group so he’s the leading man, mister popular, the only one who got a bit of opportunities, pretty much.

 

TRAINEE YEARS:  7 years (2007-2011 under JYP, 2013-2015 under Starlight, they were (in)active under starlight for around 3 years)

TRAINEE LIFE:

L/Deci started out as an independent busking and cover group when they were young. They were just nobodies for a long time. They trained together under JYP, but they were basically just there, fillers. They knew they had no chance of ever debuting there. So once the youngest, Taejoon, turned 19 in 2011, they decided to enlist together so that was done and over with. After the enlistment, they looked for a new company, but they absolutely wanted to debut together. Starlight was the company who wanted them, and after 2 more years of training, they finally debuted with disrespectful breakup. Since they were Starlight’s only artists ever, they were given all the attention, but Starlight just didn’t know how to promote them. Maybe because the CEO didn’t care and was a corrupt .

My hyungs showed me band music when I was a young child, and I thought it was everything. It was so cool! I wanted to follow my hyungs into music. I ended up following them into a band, and I've been following them for my whole life. We did everything together.

WHY DID YOU COME TO PRODUCE?

To enjoy our last moments as idols, and our last and biggest appearance on TV. Watching the young hopefuls gives me this feeling of nostalgia as well.

singing and playing the guitar. It's what I was made for.

COMMENTS:  Surprise surprise! I wasn't done yet after Pomme! I was originally, but I had this idea while talking to Nele, and since she wasn't using it, I was like 'I'll take that'. It was fun to make a somewhat eerie app with demon letters again, your reactions are always so funny. Also, you didn't allow 30 year olds, but didn't say anything about a 29 year old! Hehehe.
