✨Penelope is one of the most optimistic person you'll ever meet. She is a lover of humanity and of human experience making her a friendly person filled with warmth. Penelope loves to share her optimism, lifting up others from their mundane reality into discovering new worlds and possibilites to explore. There is childlike innocence to Penelope, she says what she means and means what she says, she straightforward and honest and you never have to guess what's really going on in her mind.

✨While most of the time, Penelope is very open and accepting, there is one thing she can't stand to tolerate is close mindedness. Additionally, it can be difficult to keep Penelope in one place for a long time, as she gets bored rather easily. Sometimes that means she can change her mind very quickly, meaning that she can come off as rather fickle. it's not so much as you'll catch Penny in a lie when she says one thing one day and a completely different thing the next day- it's usually that she's meant what she said both days but she simply changed her mind about.
Alas, trying to tie Penny down will only be a mistake in the long run. Her optimism means that she doesn't really see reality for what it is sometimes - and this can translate into denial. Practically, this translate to becoming bored with small details. She often comes up with ambitious ideas that she doesn't follow through with. She can get distracted by other projects and desires, and not because she isn't capable of getting things done, she's quite capable, only Penelope finds it difficult to fully apply herself especially if the projects are long term.
🍩BACKGROUND Penelope came from a broken family, unfortunately. her parents are divorced, and she lived with her Caucasian father in Staten Island, her mother having packed up and left them when Penelope was seven. her father adored and doted on her as child, growing up. so, Penny is really used to getting her way. at school, Penelope was apart of the dance team and sang in the school's choir, having a strong sense of rhythm and pitch.
Penelope never really got in touch with her korean roots, but always felt like a part of her heritage was missing; her father, trying to help her out brought her a korean language teacher to teach her the culture and language, hoping that'll fill the void of not knowing the korean side of her. so, when she was chosen to study aboard at seoul broadcasting high school her freshman year of highschool, Penny accepted and went on her way, meeting her host family for the first time, a family by the name of the kims, a common enough last name, but she just so happened to stay with the family of kim namjoon.
Namjoon was a bright kid, and had just returned from his own study abroad experience in new zealand, and was more than eager to practice his english and help Penelope with her korean. The two got along quite well, surprisingly, and he revealed his music passion, to which Penny showed an interest in seeing him perform. And so the next underground rap show he was invited to, she tagged along as his plus one. And the atmosphere, the vibe, the sheer energy running through the place -- it was incredible. she was hooked, and wondered what it'd be like to be on the receiving end of the cheering and screaming that namjoon was getting from her and the fellow crowd members.
she kept tagging along to the shows namjoon performed at as he was invited even joining at one point when she realized that she enjoy rapping as much as dancing and singing, and eventually they both got noticed by bighit, and when the agent saw Penelope with him, immediately extended an invitation towards her, seeing as her visuals were well put together and fit the vibe of the area. while Penelope was studying Dance and Music at the school she was currently in, she didn't think she had what it took to get into an entertainment company, and doing so would mean leaving her father behind for even more time than was originally planned. Penelope declined the offer to sign with bighit.
Penelope stayed in korea though, moving out of her host family's home and into her own apartment in Seoul and going to college part time. Penelope kept up the name she and Namjoon made for themselves in the underground scene, adding in her skill of beatboxing before being scouted by YG and she signed.

She was making cameos for a lot of YG artists and Artists outside of YG. she Helped Teddy and Choice produce countless songs for 2ne1, Lee Hi and AKMU. She almost debuted as a solo artist but was passed up for YG's newest girl group. Penelope left YG when she realized that she wasn't getting anywhere.
✨SM Entertainment : SM oddly felt like home to Penelope and she felt like maybe she finally found her company. Penelope trained along side a lot girls but she felt she made a name for herself since she had a lot of expearance under her belt.
