Me as Reader VS Me as Writer
As a reader, I love to leave comments on the story I read. Its like a way I want to tell the writer that I read the stories. It is like a way of me communicating with the writer. To thank the writer of a good story written and to encourage the writer to write more. To me comments is like a direct feedback a writer would love to hear from the readers on the story he/she is writting.
These people has spent hours to come out with idea and storyline not to mention to find time to write those story and as a token of appreciation the least we can do is comment and upvote for the effort.
Likewise, as a writer myself I love to read the comments on my story be it a simple thank you only. I love all the comments that my writer left me. I do get bad comments too sometimes but I take is a building critiscm.
You can say I am too dependent to comments but if you become a writer you know how important comments are to writers. It's a tool that keep us going.
When I don't update, people message me and asking me to update but when I do, not many commenting. I do most of the time think my effort is in vain.
Often, I feel like giving up making stories but I must be fair to my avid readers too so i keep on writing. Even like no one is reading (my take is no comments means no one is reading my story).
Ok, you might be bored with my rant, but I am just saying out my mind.
Signing off, ciao.
