ELABORATION —

Calm and intelligent: Seyoon is a young boy who has always loved to bury his nose into books. He was always near the top of class and even though he can't spend all his time into his studies, Seyoon still has some of the best grades in his major. He loves to learn new things and spends a lot of his free time reading books and researching. Books are what he loves the most, and he spends all his free time between the lectures in the library, reading both fictional and non-fictional books. He isn't only smart, Seyoon also has a calm mind. He talks calmly, acts calmly and is able to react well to situations that might cause stress. Seyoon is zen at most times, unless he gets flustered. He radiates calm, especially when he speaks because he has such a soft and airy voice.

Sweet and well-mannered: Seyoon is seen as a brat at school, but no one except his close friends really know him. He's a total sweetheart, but no one sadly believes it. His friends often stand up for him, saying that Seyoon is a blessing, but many of the students who don't like him around just jump on it and attack his friends for lying. Then his fans come, and bam, there's a big fight over the fact that he's nice or a brat. But of course his friends are right. Seyoon is a really friendly and sweet boy. He loves helping people and seeing them smile. He's also very polite and has great manners. Teachers and staff love to see him around and often praise him for his manners. Most of the students see him as a brat, the teachers see him as model student. They're very proud of Seyoon, because he gets good grades, doesn't get in trouble and is also getting more and more fame.

 

Shy: While Seyoon takes on a more open persona to be able to get more modeling work and appeal more, deep down, he's a shy person. He has to use all his acting skills to not show this to the public, but it appears once he's away from the fans and cameras. Seyoon gets flustered easily and has a hard time opening up to strangers, thinking they might be after his blooming career or trying to get to him with bad intentions. Seyoon doesn't easily trust people, but once he does, he'll give them loads of love and trust and he'd be ready to help them at any time. He's a friend anyone would wish for, but it's just way harder to actually befriend him. He's wary of any stranger around him, and has even developed agoraphobia in his teenage years. He prefers to stay away from the big and crowded areas in the school. Even in the dokgo house, he often felt like it was too much for him.

 

Pessimistic and insecure: along with fame and appreciation comes hate. Seyoon is both loved and hated at the school, and while many of the girls love to see him around, male students often feel jealous because he's getting all the girls (too bad he's actually gay). They chew him out, and Seyoon can't walk around alone without feeling afraid of surprise attacks from the students who don't like him. Sometimes, students are dumb enough to start picking on him, then either his friends come running to save him, or his fangirls do. That Seyoon brings violence makes him even more insecure than he already was. He might flaunt his body a lot for his job, but Seyoon never feels like it's good enough, and keeps trying to improve restlessly. He's also pessimistic and a real doom thinker. He always sees the negative in things and he just can't seem to surpress that. Seyoon grew up in a poor family and he's working hard to give them more resources, but he still feels like it's not enough, and he just really dislikes the hate and drama he brings to the school. He often has thoughts of just quitting school or his modeling career, but he wants to do both, and gets encouraged by Hyejin to keep going. "You can't stop now, you useless gay."

 

Airheaded: Seyoon might be really handsome, but he has a surprisingly cute side to him. Seyoon might be smart, it's almost like he's so calm that he has a foggy mind. He's the type to first solve a problem someone else has been having, to then walk into a glass door while walking away. Seyoon often gets caught up in his own fantasy world filled with fictional stories he loves and the stuff he likes. He's a daydreamer and that often makes him not pay attention to his surroundings. He ends up bumping into walls, doors, other people, everything. He stubs his toe often on the hwangmok dining table. He trips over his own feet and often drops stuff. There is a door in the hwangmok house that the others jokingly call the cursed door. It's the door to the common room and Seyoon literally always hits his elbow against the handle. At least you'll always know when he enters or leaves the common room.

 

BACKGROUND — Seyoon was born as the only child in a poor family. They lived in Boseong, the town that is known for green tea and even attracts some tourists. They lived in a small, rural house and lived from the harvest of green tea. Seyoon grew up working in the fields, but he would often sneak a book in and disappear between the plants to read. Even though he probably had the least time of all the students to do homework, Seyoon was still one of the best students. He also looked good. It was like he was perfect. But then classmates would laugh: "He's not perfect, cause he reads books. Who reads books? Eww!" "And he has no money either. Ha ha!" Seyoon was laughed at by some kids of class, because he was different. Every single time, throughout his childhood and teenage years, it would always reappear at some point. He liked studying, he was poor, he was the teacher's favourite. Ugh, he was a disgrace. That's what some other people thought, and it's what Seyoon himself started to think. When he was a young teen, Seyoon decided to slack off at school and start doing 'cool' things instead of reading books. He started to follow the cool guys, skipping class and cause trouble, hoping he would not be laughed at anymore. It worked, but Seyoon didn't feel like himself. His parents talked some sense into him after a few nights of coming home extremely late. The poor boy burst into tears and spilled everything, about him trying to be cool so that he won't be laughed at anymore. His time of rebellion didn't last long, and Seyoon transferred schools for the last two years before going to hanyang, where they were at least more accepting, but it was further away from home, so Seyoon lost a lot of his free time. He couldn't help in the fields anymore, which was the main reason Seyoon didn't want to transfer before.

 

The last two years were much better for Seyoon and he was relieved he finally decided to transfer. He got lots of compliments for his looks, and some even said he would make a great model. When he was a few months from graduating, Seyoon got scouted when they were on a class trip to Seoul. They offered him to do a small photoshoot for a school uniform brand, and it would be the start of his modeling career. Seyoon was hestitant about it at first, but his parents were so proud of him, and Seyoon saw that it might help his family out with the finances. He graduated as the second of class after his best friend, and both of them were in the top 10 of school. His best friend was Seo Hyejin, who ended #3 of school, and Seyoon ended at #7. Hyejin was the first friend Seyoon made at his new school, and she made him discover his qualities and bloom as a person. He also discovered his uality because of her, because Hyejin is very daring and openly gay. She's fearless, loud and a true diva, and she immediately said she wanted to go study fashion design at the Hanyang university, because it is a great school. Seyoon wanted to go with her, but his parents wouldn't be able to fund it all. Hyejin urged Seyoon to go apply for a scholarship because he has amazing grades and is a model student, and he ended up being able to get it. Seyoon transferred into first year of Hanyang, the literature major as scholarship student. But he wanted to keep that fact a secret. Only his closest friends know.

 

Meanwhile, Seyoon's model career started to take off, and with every gig, he got more attention, and more gigs to do. But since he didn't want to miss too much of school, he only picked out the ones he could do after school, or the ones he liked the most. He has done various stuff before, sportswear, fashion lines, school uniforms, even underwear. He has also done runways as well. It has started to bring in good money, and Seyoon also receives lots of clothing from the clothing lines he models for, from regular clothes he wears at the hwangmok house to fancy clothing he wears at school. Because of the fancy clothing, people thought he was a rich person. Seyoon wasn't at all, his parents' biggest source of money was his modeling, and Seyoon has been trying to expand it, but his parents want him to put his studies first. Seyoon is always trying to concentrate on his studies, do modeling work and also do his job as personal model of Hyejin. Because of his career and status of good looking model student, Seyoon was asked to join the luxurious Dokgo house in his first year. Hyejin was in the Moobon house from the start. Seyoon at first was amazed by the luxury of Dokgo house, but soon enough he saw the downside of it as well. He started to miss the cozyness of smaller houses, and he felt like he didn't belong in the Dokgo house. But they kept him there, even though some of the other dorm members had drama with him for no real reason.

 

In the beginning of third year, Seyoon finally got kicked out of the house, after drama, not really doing much effort for the house's reputation and events and also showing unnecessary interest in the other houses. Firstly, the Moobon house because of Hyejin. Secondly, the Hwangmok house. It was small, cozy and much more like Seyoon's usual living space, but he was worried about joining, he actually didn't even dare to go apply. What would the people think? What if Hwangmok didn't want him? The time he actually knew he wanted to go to Hwangmok is when Hyejin came running to him with big news. She broke into the Dokgo house without any warning and walked through the corridors, yelling useless gay everywhere to summon Seyoon. The news was that she heard from her dorm friend who was staying with her in Moobon that his best friend was joining Hwangmok. The dormmate from Hyejin in question was Park Jimin, so the boy she was talking about was of course Gong Banryu. A boy that Seyoon had shown interest for, and of course Hyejin had noticed. This was what convinced Seyoon to apply for the Hwangmok house. Good that he was kicked out right at that moment. They were planning to kick him out already, but Hyejin's break-in like a burglar made the heads of the Dokgo house make their final decision. And this is how Seyoon, a school celebrity, ended up in the Hwangmok house.

• best friend - Seo Hyejin - loud, shameless, courageous, athletic, intelligent, childish, stubborn, careless, impulsive - Seo Hyejin was probably the first proper friend Seyoon ever had in his life and she only came into his life at the age of 17. She's the one who made him go to Hanyang, who made him bloom as model, student and person. Seyoon needs Hyejin in his life, and even though they are like total opposites and people would think they would never get along, they are a dream team. Hyejin is very bold, loud and the exact opposite of Seyoon, but that makes them close to each other like magnets. Both of them are happily gay, and Hyejin really wants to see Seyoon happy and date the dude he's interested in. They would seriously do anything for each other even though they have lots of small, silly fights. Hyejin is even smarter than Seyoon and she was the first place of their class while Seyoon was second. But while her parents wanted Hyejin to go become a surgeon or something, she decided to go realise her dream, and is studying to become a fashion designer. Seyoon is her model and he loves to wear her clothes because they are so different. Her designs aren't just clothes, they're pieces of art. Eccentric, extravagant, androgynous, crazy genius. She knows Gong Banryu and his best friend Park Jimin, because she studies with Banryu and lives in the same dorm as Jimin. She's always on top of her class and is predicted to become a world famous fashion designer in the future. She's also amazing at gymnastics and she always participates actively in the tournaments between the houses. • eternally thankful - Han Woori - you know her better than I do - When Seyoon joined the Hwangmok dorm, Woori was surprised to see him there, because she only heard rumors about him being a brat and being the school's celebrity. Why was someone like him joining Hwangmok? But he turned out to be very different from the rumors, which made Woori take a liking to him. Seyoon sees Woori as surprisingly similar to Hyejin, and that makes him a bit less wary of her than of the other housemates? Seyoon has always been interested in her major as well, so that's also a way for them to start talking and get closer. They might become great friends in the future. For now, Seyoon just constantly thanks Woori, because she gave him the chance to approach Banryu and finally talk to him, while she didn't really do anything except bringing Banryu into the dorm.

6:00 This is the time Seyoon wakes up when he has to go model for Hyejin in their own morning class, or when he thinks he won't have enough time to do everything he wanted to do that day. This is very early for him, so either Hyejin comes breaking the door down at 6:45 when Seyoon has given no signs of life yet, or Banryu has to wake him up, because he shares the classes with Hyejin. When Seyoon doesn't have to do this, he will still be asleep at this hour.

7:30 first attempt to waking up on regular days. When he's had his 8 hours of sleep, he'll wake up at this time, but when he doesn't, he'll stay asleep until 8:00
8:10 - 8:45 Time to dress up, have a cup of green tea and breakfast. Seyoon is a small eater, so he doesn't require a long time to eat breakfast. He's also not a morning shower person, he showers in the evening.
9:00 - 10:45 Seyoon always attends his morning classes. When he's not there, people will assume he's dead or something. He rarely has to do gigs this early so he will be there 99.5% of the time.
10:45 - 12:45 Lunch break time. Seyoon usually spends it with Hyejin if both of them are free (or later on with the Hwangmok residents when they befriended each other). If Hyejin isn't free, Seyoon will go to the library to read at his favourite spot (the spot where Banryu saw him). Sometimes he goes out to do modeling gigs, and when he does that, chances are big that he'll miss (part of) afternoon class.
12:45 - 5:00 His afternoon classes are often long, heavy and tiring. The poor boy really needs a cup of green tea after this.
5:00 - 5:30 Seyoon has dinner early and quickly so that he can concentrate on what he has to do for the whole evening.

5:30 - ?? This time often differs on what Seyoon has to do. At this time he works for school, goes out to do photoshoots, helps at the house, hangs out with Hyejin, practices with the swimming team, does a workout, or writes for his own enjoyment or the school newspaper. He's a fast worker, so most of this doesn't take long. Photoshoots usually end up going all evening and he'll come home an exhausted wreck late into the night, sometimes even at 2am, when he takes a shower at the sports building to not disturb the housemates and eats a quick snack before going to sleep as fast as possible. Seyoon needs his sleep, but his sleeping schedule can be really messed up. Sometimes he has to get through the day with 4 hours of sleep, somehow...

SATURDAYS

 

Again, Seyoon's schedules are very irregular, all depending on wether he has modeling work to do or not. When he does, he wakes up at 8, when he doesn't, he sleeps in, recovering the lost sleep from the week. When modeling, he's often gone for most of the day. When he's not modeling he'll spend his day working or reading at the Hwangmok house or in the library, or hang out with the housemates or Hyejin. When he needs relaxation or just wants to do this, Seyoon will go to a spa. Maybe he'll take a housemate along in case they want to. At 18:00 he'll be there for dinner, hoping that other housemates will come for dinner as well. At 19:00 he has practice for the swimming club. Afterwards he often takes a long and relaxing bath before watching a movie, sometimes he falls asleep halfway because he's so tired.

 

 

If Seyoon doesn't have modeling work to do, he'll wake up at 4:45.
4:45 - 5:15 prepares his stuff for the travel and eats breakfast, then he departs to the metro station together with Hyejin
6:00 - 10:00 Since his hometown is all the way south, he has to travel four hours with the bus and train to get there. He always sleeps on the bus and train so he'll be fully rested most of the time once he gets to Boseong.
10:00 - 15:00 This might not be a long time, but Seyoon already feels so happy he can see his family almost every week. He goes out to do something with his parents, eats his mom's homemade food, helps in the fields like the old times... It's amazing to be back at his hometown. Hyejin lives close as well, so she usually travels with him.
15:00 - 19:00 time to head back to Seoul. It's a long travel, so Seyoon often brings his laptop to write for the school newspaper, do schoolwork or just write for his own. He also reads books at this time or has a chat with Hyejin, so his time is definitely not lost.
19:30 - 21:00 Seyoon often has dinner in town with Hyejin after they return to Seoul, he'll return to the Hwangmok house at 21:00 at last, but it's often earlier. Hyejin sometimes tags along to hang around in the Hwangmok house, or she sneaks Seyoon into the Moobon house.
21:00 - 22:00 still a free hour. At this time, Seyoon will often be exhausted so he'll take a shower and do whatever he wants. Most of the time he spends it hanging out at the common room or in his own room, doing what he wants to do, accompanied by a cup of green tea. He brought a new load from Boseong that day, so he's good to go for a few more weeks. Around 22:00 he'll either be sleeping in the couch cause he was watching tv or he would crash onto his bed at that moment. It was a tiring day for poor Seyoon.

 

ROOM DESCRIPTION — Seyoon's room is quite special, and is either loved or hated. It's small, cozy and light. Generally neutral colors on the lighter side, a big window, books on every space possible. Most of the room is filled with his big and soft bed, which is required to make him sleep better. Seyoon brought in his own matress, because the matresses of the dorm were too hard for him to be able to sleep on. His room is like a mini jungle, filled to the brink with plants. it gives a colorful and fresh touch to the room. When Seyoon's at the house, chances are high that there will be an incense or scent dispenser active in this room, making it have a nice, relaxing scent. This room is too small to store all of Seyoon's clothes so some are in the bathroom he uses and others are stored in the laundry room.
