I have a question, to all the authors here. Do the authors cry when they kill their favorite character in fanfic or do the smile because they like angst?

Usually neither. I usually feel sort of indifferent towards the death of my characters. It’s just a matter of how beautifully written it is and that’s where my focus lie. I also usually kill them when I’m in a specific mood to be writing such story in the first place and then my real emotions take over.

lmao i smile in anticipation cuz i know my readers are going to squirm, cry, and complain.
but im also sad cuz usually the characters that die have the best characterization and story
