birthname. Ryu Daye 류다예
nicknames.

Rockstar : Daye is member of a band, and that's why her friends often refer to her as the rockstar. The bad has only released two original singles, but during their long breaks, they lived from busking and covers.
Darated : Daye would do anything to give her group more attention, she would even sell her body, and that's what she did when she was in Japan for a while. She did some... suggestive photoshoots who generally didn't reach Korea yet, luckily. Japan... typical Japan. She got good money from the pictures and she's proud of them (and she got to keep the lingerie), but she doesn't want the pictures to spread to Korea and haunt her career.  But some other participant might actually know about it and spread it amongst the male participants.
Lulu : A general nickname used by her close friends and her small fandom as well.

birthdate. 13/02/1994
birthplace. Taketomi, Japan
ethnicity. Korean
languages.

Korean : native, She speaks good korean, but has a slight japanese accent even though she is actually a korean
Japanese : excellent, She was born and raised in Japan so speaks it naturally. When she was young, her Japanese and Korean were on the same level.
Mandarin : conversational, Under/flare is an international band, and they have a Chinese member as well. Daye learned some Mandarin from her friend and also took classes, because the original plan was to promote Under/flare in China and Japan as well.
English : conversational, Daye took lessons for this too, for the same case as above. Under/flare wasn't going to be specifically bound to Korea, but sadly, the ambitious plans fell apart soon enough, and Daye now uses her English (and Mandarin) to cover songs.

faceclaim. Laboum/Uni.T ZN
backup fc. Wassup Nari
appearance.

— Daye is 170 cm's tall and weighs 49 kg. Daye is quite the noticeable appearance. She's a tower for Korean standards , but she's also really skinny. She would love to gain some weight but it's just in her genes that she's a stick. Literally, she barely has any curves and has a very straight figure. It makes her uncomfortable and she's insecure about it, and it's also not the easiest task for the stylists. She makes up for it with her face though, Daye is a beautiful appearance. Her eyes are big and captivating, while she has lovely, soft cheeks as well, like baby fat (which she will lose after dieting for a while). She always wears light make-up, focusing on her lashes to accentuate her eyes more. Her hair at the moment is long, dark brown with bangs and slight beach waves. It's often hanging over her left shoulder or done in a high ponytail.

Style.

— Her style is pretty much unique. One thing that she loves is showing off her amazing long legs (and hiding her straight bodyline), but she does it by wearing a mix of designer clothes, feminine, retro and rock and punky. She will wear high heels most of the time, but of course not when she's training. She has several rockband shirts and loves to knot them up and pair them up with a high-waisted designer skirt. Her main colors of outfits are mainly black, red and gold. She has also advertised for a sports fashion line before and while training and working out she mostly wears that brand with colorful fitness clothes that accentuate her body. Whenever she has to dress formally it will mostly be something lovely and retro as well. She's someone who wears skirts and dresses more often than shorts or jeans.

Personality.

mbti type: ESFJ - hogwarts house: Gryffindor

(+): Protective, captivating, charming, generous, kind
(0): Ambitious, busy, clingy
(-): anxious, desperate, envious, possessive, gloomy

"I really could use a good cuddle right now..."

Protective, clingy and possessive: Daye grew up as only child, and always wanted to have siblings, but somehow they never came, but Daye always saw her younger friends as siblings back when living in Japan, so she protected them and drowned them with love and affection. Now that she had to leave all of them behind because of her dreams, she grew lonely without them around, and now she barely has any friends because of her idol life and the long hiatuses Under/flare has been suffering. She sees her groupmates as her little sisters too, and the younger participants are bound to be loved by her too, as long as they behave. Because of her loneliness, Daye became even clingier, and even possessive over her younger friends.

"How can Lucy be so captivating... At least half of the male participants are staring at her..."

Captivating and charming: It gave her the few modeling gigs she got in Japan, her charms, visuals, her personality, her total package. She knows how to captivate others with her charms and uses it to her advantage to gain more, just to be able to go on with her band. There is something about the way she walks, talks and just does anything that makes her so captivating, drawing all eyes to her at any time. She even posed in underwear once, and while it went by unnoticed by the general fandom of her band because it was at their deepest point in popularity, the fans who knew really did go crazy over it.

"I'm treating everyone for KBBQ tonight!!" - "Daye... Are you willing to pay hundreds of dollars for that?"

Generous and kind: She does have a lot of money indeed, but like her parents, Daye is very generous and kind, donating to charity regularly and also using it to help out her friends. Her band's independent comeback was all financed by her and her parents and she is planning on doing that for the rest of the career of Under/flare, unless a company is willing to take them under their wings as a whole. She is really kind towards other people, and believes that as long as you treat them nicely, any person will show their good side to you too. She lives by that and barely has anyone that dislikes her.

"Why are you still trying, Daye?" - "Because it's for Under/flare, and they are my everything."

Ambitious, busy and desperate: Daye still has high hopes for Under/flare, even though she'll be really busy with Media play now, but she knows it's not easy to make those come true. Since their debut, Daye has been composing and arranging their songs, the two they ever released, but she has lots of others created that could easily fill up three full-length albums, and she is used to having a busy life because of that. She loves to do it, because it makes the band just so much better, because the same happened to FTisland too. They became -in her opinion- much better after being able to self-compose their songs. She still sets high goals and aims for success for Under/flare, and it makes her sound really desperate maybe, but she really is. She is desperate to perform again with her girls, her 'babies' from Under/flare. She just wants to sing again, play guitar again, and feel the love from the fans. Media play is a sidestep, a desperate cry for popularity, and she would do anything to make her group be able to stand on stage again. She would even sell her body for it, but luckily she didn't have to do that completely yet.

"Why... Why don't we have that..."

Anxious, envious and gloomy: This all came into her head because of the failure and series of unlucky events for Under/flare. She grew anxious, worrying about her band with every step she takes, and she will watch every word on broadcast to not damage her reputation. She was always anxious in nature, worrying about doing well and not offending any friends or abandoning them, but after the car accident, it grew even worse, because they could've all been dead. She is also very envious of the succesful idols, and wonders why they made it while she and her band didn't, they have self-composed songs and real talent, so why didn't they make it and other groups did? She is salty about it from time to time, but is mainly gloomy because of all the troubles. She is usually happy and kind, but she can get sudden mood switches, becoming down because the thoughts made their way into her head again, and then she'll hide away and isolate herself from everyone, sometimes mysteriously disappearing to cry it out somewhere in a secret hiding spot, making everyone concerned about her disappearance. The odd thing is: she would even give everything for Under/flare to have the popularity N.flying has, and they are far from the top. This shows how desperate and envious Daye is.

Her on-stage persona is the same as her real personality, but she tries to appear less desperate for attention than she actually is.

Background. Daye was born blessed, in a rich family as the only child. They lived in a beautiful big beach house right by the Japanese coast on the small, idyllic island of Taketomi, and the family was very popular because they were so nice and lovely despite being really wealthy. They had gained their wealth on their own after all, and gave a lot of their fortune to charity. Their child was also just as sweet as her parents, a beautiful young ray of sunshine of a girl. She was really popular around school, not only because she was rich and had a good family reputation, but because she could just befriend anyone. She didn't even have problems being fully Korean, but that was maybe because her parents were so influential. Her mother always loved to play the guitar, and often played for her little girl, who was always amazed by her mother's skills. Oh how she wanted to learn the same, and actually make it her job later on. It was her childhood dream of becoming a singer with a guitar. And it never changed.

In 2009, she was finally allowed by her parents to try out to become a singer, but she wanted to do it at the country where her roots were, and not debut in a girl group, no, she wanted to shake up the kpop scene with an awesome girl band. But there was a problem, the culture barrier. Her parents did teach her a bit about Korean culture and habits, but it wasn't enough and people would mock her for not knowing about the country of her roots, so she attended a class that teached them. Not so soon after, 15-year old Daye moved to Korea all on her own, to live with her cousin's family in Seoul. She started looking for a company that was willing to make a girl band, and it was a hard journey. Her parents send her a lot of money to be able to still live a luxury life, but she felt lonely, because after being popular and surrounded by friends for her whole life, Daye was suddenly on her own.

After a month doing multiple auditions a week, a company actually accepted her. It was a brand new company and she was their very first trainee. It was Coolwave music. For a few months, Daye was training on her own, working her off on her vocals and guitar skills, but also practicing some dance just in case, and learning the tricks about composing and arranging. But then, one by one, three other girls joined her, a drummer, a guitarist, a bass. The band was complete and the synergy was great, and Daye was never alone anymore with her girls around. As the oldest and leader, she wanted to protect her girls as much as possible from the upcoming danger from the idol world. Coolwave had specifically looked for members who could complete the band, and they happened to be the Korean Eunjin, the Chinese Luli and the Japanese Eri. Because they were so international, the company started to get the ambitious idea that if Under/flare would do well, they would promote actively in Korea, China and Japan, and release songs in four different languages, adding English to that.

In 2013, their debut finally came, and it was actually a bullseye. A young, beautiful girl band that actually made really good self-composed music and was also multilingual? It was a hell yes to many people. They were really appreciated and gained quite a gathering for a small group. The company made the bad decision to not ride the momentum and give them a comeback, but they made Under/flare constantly release covers instead. But the fans were getting used to the concept, and when the drummer broke her wrist, they had to take a hiatus. Unfortunately, right when the drummer was able to return, they got into a terrible car accident, and every single one of them was unable to play or perform because of their injuries. Their hiatus lasted years, and a lot of people forgot about them, becoming a nugu group that was pretty much doomed. No comeback came just yet, just covers... The group went downhill, untill the company decided to disband them without their consent. Under/flare was gone, or so it seemed. But Daye and the girls didn't want to let it go like that, and spoke against their company, comfirming that they still existed by dropping a comeback completely financed by Daye's family. It still flopped, and they decided to take a break and still see what could happen, at that time, it was fall of 2016. Daye decided to go to the country where she was raised, Japan, to look for possible opportunities. In Japan, she was able to fight and get some opportunities to gain money and recognition by modeling for a sports brand, and then, the cursed lingerie pictures. She gave Under/flare some new fans who were hoping for a comeback. They kept releasing covers as well, alongside busking sessions in Seoul. One cover video actually went viral, but the knetz just listened to that and then forgot about the girls again. Right when Daye was about to give up, their biggest opportunity yet fell in their lap. Media Play. The girls were unanimous that they would send Daye. And she was more than ready to fight and do anything to bring Under/flare back.

Trivia:
-  she did follow produce 101 season 2 closely and her picks were Daehwi and Park Woojin because they were just so damn adorable
- she has a total of five guitars, one acoustic and four electric, for each season: springsummerautumn and winter. She will only play on the correct guitar in the season and she brings her acoustic and electric guitar whenever she goes on a trip, and if the season switches during the trip she'll either go home to switch them on the day or bring both of them. She believes that it brings her luck.
- She listens to bands like Green day, Blink 182, Relient K and Sum 41 and mainly composes music that's a bit softer like them. Her style varies a lot. Korean bands she likes are N.flying, Lou.de and FTisland.
- She is one of the few band vocals (if not the only one) that actually performs with an idol-like mic that is attached to her ear, she wants it that way because otherwise she would be stuck standing still while singing behind the mic stand, and she wants to roam around freely on stage. This only happens when she's playing the guitar herself though, sometimes she doesn't do that.
- She's not really a good dancer because she often suffers from pain, traces from the accident that happened in late 2014. She still has a pin in her left thigh.

Relationships.

Her groupmates:

— the group's baby : Chen Luli / guitarist / active, optimistic, boyish, tough / 9/10

The maknae (well, she's the only one who is from 95 and not from 94) and guitarist of Under-flare who is the mood lifter of the bunch, she's a tomboy but she's a very energetic and bubbly girl, always jumping around and rambling on. When everyone else wanted to give up, Luli made it so that they changed their minds so they could all keep going together. Daye and the other members baby her a lot. (fc: SNH48 Zhao Yue)

— best buddy : Tanaka Eri (stagename: Leesa) / bassist / Friendly, open-minded, stubborn, moody / 10/10

The first trainee that joined the company after Daye herself, they are the closest out of all and were also the main ship of the band, so they are used to do a lot of fanservice, but they are generally a very touchy pair of besties and love each other's butts. The cute thing about them is that they are the tallest and smallest member. Eri is a smol. (fc: E-girls Washio Reina)

— good friend : Shin Eunjin (stagename: Lexie) / drummer / independent, cool, shy, witty / 9/10

Eunjin, as quite the shy girl, had a hard time blending in with the rest of the band at first, but now she feels at ease with the band and practicing is for her a great way to relax. Daye and Eunjin depend on each other a lot and Eunjin loves to tease Daye with anything she does and she's actually the joker of the group now. (fc: Tahiti Ari)

Someone interesting:

— what are they? : Lee Euijin / member of Bigflo (and UNB if that works in this universe) / friendly, slow, silly, extremely lame / 7/10 for now

The only other idol Daye is still in contact with at the moment. She has met some before, but she pretty much lost contact with all of them and only speaks to them occasionally. The funny thing is: Euijin and Daye didn't even meet on stage, they just randomly met while walking around on their own in Seoul. Euijin said: 'are you Under/flare's Lucy?' and Daye said: 'Are you Bigflo's Euijin?' at the same time. They chatted for an hour, they just hit it off, despite the of 4 years. It was like they knew each other for years already, while they were just standing on the pavement where they had just met. Since then, they have kept contact with each other, and the friendship kinda grew into a mutual crush, but nothing has really happened yet. And now with Media play (and Euijin with UNB if that works in this universe), they've gotten busy again. But afterwards, they might actually end up together.

What made you want to be an idol?

— I wanted to be a member of a band because my mother always played guitar for me. I loved it. She basically fed me music when I was a baby, and I wanted to be like that too, but take it to a professional level instead of a fun hobby.

What do you consider to be your best skill?

— Vocals.

What concepts are you best at?

— Rock, of course, but I'm also quite good at the y stuff.

Are you a fan of any sm artists?

— Yes, I absolutely love Super Junior and NCT too. NCT dream are the cutest little kids, I really want to meet them and treat them some good KBBQ.

Group Name. Under/flare (언더플에으) (I hope I got that right)
Twin Group. A-fati
Position in Group. Vocal (but she would play guitar when two guitars were needed in covers). A-fati didn't really have an assigned leader, but it would probably be Daye if they had one too.

— Another chance (2016)

Training and Idol life.

— Being the very first trainee at Coolwave entertainment, she was the favourite of the company too, and they always pushed her to the front, even though she wanted to be on the same spot as her bandmates. It often caused disagreements and she hated the company that now doesn't exist anymore. After leaving the company she didn't practice daily with her band, but was always working on music whenever she didn't have something else to do. Under/flare's debut was quite well-received for a group with their resources, but the company handled it wrongly, and instead of making a comeback, they were told to release covers. When Eunjin broke her wrist, the group had to take a hiatus. Right when she was healed, disaster striked, as the members got into an accident while heading to their dorm from the practice room. They got incredibly lucky, they could've all been dead if the car was a bit faster, but they all only had injuries, and nothing was really permanent, except that Daye has a pin in her left thigh now. Unfortunately, the driver, who was their loving manager, passed away after a week in the hospital. The company decided to disband them and close their doors without the members knowing. One day, they just stood in front of locked doors, with a paper stuck to them. 'Coolwave music is now closed.' The news had already spread that they had disbanded, but they immediately spoke up against it. They released an independent comeback and continued doing covers, but it really did nothing much, and their fandom is shrinking day by day. They have released various covers of various groups. One of their covers gave them a small boost while going viral last year, it was a rock cover of Twice's Cheer up. It didn't do much for their overall popularity though, but they had their 10 seconds in the spotlights at least, giving them hope.

Experience.

— Various modeling gigs (2016-2018)
— They released a cover every fourth day of the month since debut unless they were on hiatus and the times Daye was in Japan.

comments. Hey! She's done! I really hope you like her, since she's a bit special. Please do tell me when anything's wrong!
password. I kept this one for my girl
Scene suggestions.

— Another participant knowing about the lingerie shoots Daye did and spreading the pictures which make the male participants stare at her even more. She could find out or be completely unknowing and get nervous why the dudes stare at her all the time.
— TBA I'm pretty much braindead right now
