— the actual sun : It's not the first time that Byungho has had blonde/orange-ish hair, so that's already a thing, but he's just a really happy and cheerful boy in general, and has the brightest smile. He really is the sunshine of his group and of the show.
— baby lion : because of his ginger hair that was definitely his best and most popular hairstyle (even though they aren't popular at all), he reminded people of a baby lion, and his hair were the manes. He even got a lion onesie from a fan and he wears it to sleep. It's super adorable, with the fluffy manes around his cute face.

— Byungho is one and all cuteness. He might not really look like a visual because of his eyes and big nose, but his eyesmile does it all. He has a naturally sad expression, but once he smile, he simply beams. He looks best with either black hair or hair in ginger shades, natural blonde/ginger or just bright orange. His charm points according to himself are his small face and perfect teeth, even though he had braces at the time that he got added to the group. (it was adorable). He's 177 cm tall and weighs 61 kg, he's not really that skinny, but he can't go below the 60 somehow. No matter how hard he diets, he just doesn't lose weight anymore at this point.

Style.

— Byungho's style is very colorful and quite odd too. He loves to wear colors like orange, shades of blue and different kinds of purples too. He loves to stand out in crowds with weird color combinations that somehow still work. He loves to wear hoodies and sweatpants, but also oversized shirts and cute shorts. His style is kind of a mix & match, and it's also hit or miss for people around him.

Cheerful and bright: Byungho is a lovely cheerful boy, always trying to smile and having a bright view on life. He loves to make other people smile and whenever his fans tell him that he makes them happy, his heart simply melts. He brings up the mood and when he smiles, he beams.

"I can keep going!" - "Byungho, you have been training for 7 hours without any break."

Hard-working and optimistic: Byungho dreams of performing and bringing people happiness by his vocals. He has his goal set, and he works incredibly hard to achieve it. He also tries to stay positive at all times, he always tries to look at the bright side of life. He smiled through every unlucky thing that has ever happened to him, and he always fought back stronger. The boy might be really unlucky, he is at least able to perform, and that's what keeps him going.

Careless and childish: Byungho didn't really overthink his auditions, and didn't really think about what could happen to him, joining such a company with a bad reputation. He just wanted to be on stage, and that's what drove him. It was a bad decision, and Byungho has done more things that makes him think 'why did I do that'. He just doesn't overthink things and when they seem good, he just throws himself into it. He's also very childish, he loves to play games that would only be fun for younger people, and he also reacts to things that trigger him like a child. Stomping feet, pouting lips, angry words he doesn't mean. It's pretty much what happens when Byungho's mad.

Airheaded and naive: Byungho has to be watched constantly, because he's still like a child. He's an airhead, often spacing out and not paying attention when it's important. it's always a pain for people to explain everything twice to him, sometimes they don't even bother. Byungho is also very naive, believes everything that is said to him and is greatly vulnerable for danger and scammers. He's the baby maknae that needs to be kept on a leash at all times.

Background. Byungho was born in the suburban area of Busan, pretty close to the beach. He was always a bright child, and a blessing to his family. But he always got into lots of trouble. It's been like that all his life, Byungho makes bad decisions all the time, and he's just a very unlucky child. Whenever he had an event, the weather would , whenever he was cutting something, he would cut his fingers as well. He almost lost his finger once because of a dumb mistake while cutting a watermelon. His unluckiness would keep marking his life with small accidents and mistakes, but luckily, nothing really big happened.

Byungho had a younger sister, who really wanted to be an idol since a young age. She was always watching performances on TV. They differed for 9 years, so the little girl started watching around the time 2nd generation idol groups started to emerge. Byungho never really had a dream himself, so he just watched together with his little sister.

Then, a day of doom happened. The little sister got hit by a truck on her way to school. She survived it miraculously, but she would be forever paralysed in her lower body. Her dreams, crushed, her life, forever changed. Little Jiho was devastated. Along with her, the rest of the family was devastated too. At that moment, seeing her so sad broke Byungho's heart, but he also felt determined that he would achieve Jiho's dream in her place, and that's how he discovered his dream of becoming an idol. It's all for his little sister, because she wanted to be an idol.

In 2013, after vocal lessons and trying out dancing, Byungho decided that he could start auditioning for companies. He just auditioned for any company, being careless and naive Byungho, but no one accepted him, until he got into a company that was named winning insight, but later on changed their name to E-Ho entertainment.

It wasn't what Byungho expected, and he had to deal with the consequences. The company was bad, he was stuck there for a long time, and they mistreated their idols a lot. They disbanded Kiss & Cry after one release, and MR.MR was surrounded by scandals. Byungho kept going for his sister, but if he wasn't stuck there, he would've left asap. Their maknae even got abused, and would later file a lawsuit.  Byungho, together with a same aged trainee friend, would become the original maknae's replacement, and Byungho was now the new maknae, and also, as he expected, the new target of abuse. But he tried to endure it, because seeing his sister so incredibly happy and proud of him, made him the happiest.

In 2017, the boys of EGM were able to separate themselves from the abusive company, after promoting in Japan for a year. In that year, the leader, who had sued the company, was also finally able to leave the group and get his well-deserved rest from the burdens of stardom. They took a hiatus for a year to rest after all the troubles and scandals they had (which Byungho gladly missed). They kept promoting in Japan and had the time of their lives. But then 2018 came, and member Changjae had to enlist. They were releasing a new song after almost two years, but the feeling was always lingering, the wish to promote in their homecountry. The chance came to them with media play, and they were determined to go, but it wasn't easy to decide who to send. Should they send the main man Tey? Send soft angel Doyeon? They decided to play the sunshine card, because Byungho was the best at attracting new fans with his bright smile and cute ways. Even though he straight up at dancing. Byungho was determined to make it, but he was just incredibly happy, because this would be his very first variety show ever.

Changjae is Byungho's best friend. The new leader of EGM who has enlisted in April. Byungho and Changjae were always roommates, every single time, because Byungho tends to sleep better and feel secure when Changjae is around. Byungho misses his leader deeply, now that they are separated. He sometimes get nightmares about the abuse he had to suffer under their former company. When Changjae was with him, he wouldn't have any worry, but now, they have become more frequent now that he's gone.

Jihyun is the main man of EGM, the main vocal, visual and face of the group. He was always the company's favourite, and the one who hated it the most was Jihyun himself. He is a flirty guy on stage, but he's actually a really cute and awkward boy. He deeply cares for the others and has often stood up for the others, as only one who never got abused.

Doyeon is the angel of the group, sweet, calm, zen, just really adorable. He's a really good friend to everyone of the group, and he's generally loved. He doesn't really get much attention amongst the fans though, but he doesn't mind that, as long as the group in general can get more fans.

Except for Changjae, Jaemin is Byungho's closest friend in the group. They are the same age and around a month apart in age. Jaemin is a fun and playful kid who causes lots of trouble, but Byungho and Jaemin are the babies and new members of the group, so they stick together through all the hardships. Jaemin is a friend Byungho can depend on, except when he's napping.

Jin used to be the leader until the duty got transferred to Changjae after Jin said some stuff that didn't amuse the CEO. He is still like a dad to the youngest members byungho and jaemin, and he's a really silly dude, but super kind. Jin had been on hiatus since somewhere in 2016, and officially got out of the company by a lawsuit in 2017. He still supports the group behind the scenes and is still like a father to Byungho.

What made you want to be an idol?

— The one who originally wanted to be an idol was my sister. But she isn't able to become one... for reasons... So I decided to become one and fulfill her dream for her.

— Vocal? Does my smile and bright personality count?

— We mainly did y and classy concepts with EGM, but I think I would fit cute concept too! Just not a complicated dance, please.

— Yes! I'm definitely a fan of Red velvet, even though I didn't really like the newest songs...

Training and Idol life. 

— Byungho's life was extremely stressful as trainee under E-ho entertainment. The youngest always had to suffer the most abuse from the company if they weren't statisfied, and after he joined EGM, it was Byungho. It was normal that the make-up artists had to cover up a lot of bruises on his body, but he could never tell what it was. At least he didn't suffer some of EGM's big scandals and hate waves of other fandoms. They didn't have any opportunities, until they went to Japan, where their albums charted pretty well, and they were able to perform lots of concerts and fanmeets. Finally, the boys had schedules. But they always wanted to go back to their own country, but they would either get ignored or hated... Byungho, Jaemin and Jihyun did audition for The Unit, but didn't make it through, so they weren't able to appear.
