question: code plagiarism?

is using a certain code counted as stealing?

e.g. i wanted to make the scrollbar disappear, but after multiple attempts, i can't. so i took the code for hiding the scrollbar, and tweaked it around so it would suit my needs.

is that stealing? because layouts tend to be very different in the end, so it's not layout plagiarism, but codes aren't layouts.

but certain codes are a little different for coders.

so... help?

Yes. Certain coders have a different way of codings, despite it all being similar in syntax. Though sometimes they do put their own watermarks in the code, so long as you don't take that out you can edit it. Although it would be better if you see something that allow you to edit, then you can edit, but leave the watermark intact and you'll be fine.
