How can you tell if something is real

If only lies are spread every day

They tell you it's okay to be yourself

But it's best if you quickly learn

You have to do as you're told

There's no point in having feelings

Your problems mean nothing

We all want validation and we're ravenous

 

So we start to follow

Not to think for ourselves

If I'm honest then I'm in the wrong

Unless it coincides with their intentions
