un bitgaram is his birthname, but he legally changed it to taewoong when he became a trainee under sm. he hates his birthname with a passion.

 운태구 

taegu is his stage name or the alias he went under when he wrote lyrics. a lot of fans think that this his name, but it's just a stage name and nothing concrete.

nicknames.

 TAEUNGGIE 

it's a mixture of his name and hyung. it's what most of the younger members call him (and even some older members to his dislike). he doesn't particularily hate the nickname, but he doesn't like it.

 CASANOVA 

taewoong really hates this nickname. because of his visuals, many girls and boys alike tend to flock to him. they always try to win him over when he doesn't really care in the first place. so the nickname casanova came in because he's always seen with many girls hanging off of him and they thought he was a natural casanova (they couldn't be more wrong).

 TROUTY MOUTH 

taewoong has natural plump lips with corners of his mouth perfectly turned upwards. many people were jealous of his good looks and began to call him this to put him down, though it doesn't do anything to him.

 DEVIL 

if you think exo's kyungsoo is satan, then you haven't met un taewoong. sometimes the members wonder if taewoong has any feelings at all whenever he hurts the members and then laugh at the misery. maybe this is why he's an only child.

fluent, native tongue. grew up with a busan accent, but when he moved to seoul, he masked it. he doesn't like satoori, but when he's especially angry or upset, he will revert to his busan accent.

advanced conversational, learned in school and is further studying under bighit. confuses a lot of people with his proficiency in english, sounding almost fluent in the language. he still has a slight accent when speaking and mostly his problems lie in writing and grammar.

 JAPANESE 

conversational, began learning under sm and continues to study the language under bighit. taewoong always wanted to learn japanese so when he began training under sm, he took the chance. he's not as proficient in the language as he is in english, but he can hold a conversation with some ease. japanese slang goes right over his head though.

taewoong is a walking sculture. he is chisled perfection straight from the womb. yes, he's entire face is natural. makeup amplifies his good looks, but nothing beats his bare face.

underneath his clothes holds a lithe form with soft muscles as he only works out enough to keep him in shape (and not looking like a gym junkie, he wouldn't look good with too many muscles).

another main point of taewoong (besides his face) are his hands, more specifically, his fingers. they are long, longer than most. his hands aren't big, but his long fingers make them seem bigger.

taewoong's fashion is very modern that fits his form. his closet is definitely a model's closet, filled with the latest clean style. only in the dorms does he dress down in baggy t-shirts and sweats. black is taewoong's best friend, but once in awhile he'll wear lighter colors.

un taewoong, or rather he was born as un bitgaram in busan, south korea to family of farmers. he was their only child as his parents really couldn't take care of multiple children because of money problems. so young bitgaram got to experience a rough childhood from living the bare minimum.

and that wasn't the end up it. besides his poor upbringing, he was bullied in school. yeah, yeah, everyone gets bullied, but it doesn't stop it from hurting any less. his name, a very uncommon name paired up with a very uncommon surname, he was bound to be made fun of. along with his natural ‘pretty locks’, it just added onto the list of things to make fun of him.

it's not a surprise that bitgaram hated his childhood. on a class trip in seoul, he fell in love with bright lights of the city. it definitely wasn't the countryside of busan that he lived in. he didn't want to leave. his wish was granted when a scouter from sm entertainment stopped him with some of his classmates, complimenting on his good looks before handing him a card. this was his chance and when he came home, he immediately packed up all his belongings.
