BACKGROUND Gaeul was born in Seoul. She has an older sister, Yeoreum (fc: EXID Solji), and an elder brother, Gyeoul (fc: Super Junior Yesung). They were a pretty typical family, middle class office workers, living in a decent apartment complex, going to decent schools. There was nothing really exciting. Then, Gyeoul (the eldest and the only son) went to college, and the parents couldn't dote on him anymore, so they turned their focus to the girls. Gaeul was ten years old, but since Gyeoul went to Seoul National University (prestige as ), to major in engineering they were really happy and proud and kept comparing Yeoreum (whose grades lowkey ) to Gyeoul, and that really scared Gaeul since Yeoreum got yelled at so much.

Here's the thing: their parents are your typical Asian parents. "You can do whatever you want in life, but you HAVE TO become a doctor or a lawyer or something!!" You know, do something in STEM. Yeoreum wanted to be a singer, which her parents were Very Very Against. So they fought with her a lot, and Gaeul got really scared since she didn't see anything wrong with being a singer (she's only ten rn ;;). And since she and Yeoreum slept in the same room, she would sometimes stay awake until Yeoreum came to bed and then she would ask why their parents were so mad and why couldn't tey be singers. And Yeoreum would be like It's fine, they think I can't be happy like that, but they're wrong, and you can do anything you want.

Yeoreum left for college when Gaeul was 13. Their parents made Yeoreum choose a math major, but as soon as she could, she switched to vocal performance. Lol back to Gaeul. Gaeul was really, truly alone now, since both her siblings were gone. Their parents REALLY placed their hopes in her (since Yeoreum was kind of a up), and that REALLY scared her!! She kept up her grades in order to not get yelled at, but then she got into... ANIME!!! The dreaded anime that ruins lives... so Gaeul's grades started slipping, but thankfully, her parents yelled at her and took away her computer, so Gaeul got her grades up (and escaped from the cringe).

Then, in high school, everyone was talking about COLLEGECOLLEGECOLLEGE and Gaeul was like ??? WHAT DO I WANT TO DO. She originally thought that being an animator was cool, but she has zero experience in art. She wrote a couple of cool stories for English class, but she didn't think she could do it for a living. So she spent most of high school worrying (especially since her parents were nagging). She took a couple of computer science courses but hated it. She wasn't good at math (not anymore, since calc ;;). Then, in a fateful turn of events.... in junior year, Gaeul was accidentally placed in a physics class instead of chemistry. Originally, she was really mad because she wanted to be in chem and do cool experiments, but the counselor assured her that physics wasn't too bad either, and after a week of class, Gaeul knew that she wanted to major in physics. She wanted to DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE.

So that was that lol. Even though her junior year grades lowkey ( CALC ;;;;;), she still managed to get into [whichever college everyone else goes to]!! Man, her parents were ecstatic. Yeoreum, on the other hand, was already training under a company called Tealeaf Ent (I made that up on the spot feel free to change or omit it). Gyeoul had long-graduated and was now working at a pretty good company. So, in a way, all of them ended up successful??

In any case, in college, Gaeul didn't get a lot of scholarships, so she KNEW she had to get a job. Thankfully, she ended up getting one at the school library. Being a library assistant paid decently, about $12 an hour, and Gaeul was pretty much set. She got along pretty well with her roommate, Heeyeon, although they were pretty much as different as they could be. Sometime during the year, Gaeul ended up stressing so much that she ended up browsing instagram the entire night insted of studying. As when ppl do when they're tired, Gaeul made a spontaneous decision: she would start a side instagram for food!! Of course, she's not quite too popular yet, but she tries to post every day (I mean, sometimes college food can look quite appetizing!), and thankfully, most of her followers are active so she gets lots of likes. Her roommate Heeyeon is also a newbie foodstagrammer, and she's promoted her a couple of times on her own page. [idk what else to write ;; so I'll leave off here]
