Byungho is the type of guy that looks like a large, friendly teddy bear. He's 185 cm tall and weighs 72 kg. He's pretty big, but that doesn't mean he's intimidating. He has a soft, tired-looking, long face with a squishy nose and strong jawline. He has lots of trouble with acne scars, but he tries to cover up with make-up whenever he can and he's also getting treatment for it right now. His eyes are dark and warm and his hair is soft and puffy. His eyesight isn't the best, so he either wears glasses or lenses. He usually wears his hair down, but when he wants to really look good on that day, he'll put some wax in it and expose his forehead, which really boosts his looks. His smile is cute and friendly and he just radiates softness, yet is known to be quite handsome. His proportions are pretty nice too and he has quite some muscles and broad shoulders. He has this tattoo on his right side, but not many people know about it. He also has the sign of Shurima (a region in league of legends) tattooed on his shoulderblades.

Byungho's style is really nothing much. There's actually not much more in his closet than white or black t-shirts, shirts or hoodies and simple jeans or shorts. He has five different pairs of white sneakers. He does have some sweatpants and sports jerseys in case he wants to go to the gym. And of course a few fashionable and simple suits too. His style is just simple, and that's it. He probably even has more glasses than pants.

Active: Even though Byungho is a professional e-sports player, he also loves other sports. Some people say he also loves 'real' sports, but e-sport is a sport to him as well. Anyway, Byungho enjoys going to the gym from time to time and he tries to go for a jog every day. He has a good sense for sports, so whenever he plays a new sport, he'll pick it up quite quickly, especially ball sports.

Calm and dull: Byungho isn't really the type to go jumping all around when he wins. He stays calm at most of the times and is on the more quiet side. Some people love that he's like a zen man, someone you can be at peace with, but many actually see Byungho as a dull person. He just doesn't show his excitement all that much, just a chuckle is enough for him. Yes, he is kinda dull, but it's just Byungho.

Caring: Byungho is a really good guy who naturally tries to take care of people younger than him. Maybe this is why he and Heejin are called the parents of the show? He's a really caring guy, even though he can't really cook or anything because he would mess everything up.

Intelligent: many league of legends players are quite the intelligent people. They have to be able to think quickly, have great decision-making skills, predict the enemy's moves and have outstanding reflexes. Byungho has all that, he has always been a smart man.

Clumsy and dependent: Byungho has two left hands, even though he's intelligent, don't give him any handy work. Byungho at anything that involves using his hands that is not a sport, and he'll become a panicking mess when he has to fix something, cook or pretty much anything like that. It's not the first time that he has injured himself or broke something while doing that kind of stuff, so people know that they should keep an eye out for him and help him out. Poor guy just wants to do his best, you know.

Doesn't take care of his own health: while he takes care of everyone else, Byungho doesn't watch his own health well at all. He just brushes it off, thinking it's nothing, but he has been struggling lately. Byungho's back has become quite weak, and he will have to retire soon if he keeps this up. People really have to bring some sense into him and make him take care of himself better.

Byungho was born as the oldest son of the family. He was a calm child who didn’t really get into trouble, and always stayed by his parents’ side rather than running off. When he was 5, he got a little brother. His little brother was quite the opposite of him, and he was always running off somewhere and getting into trouble. When his parents weren’t looking, Byungho would make sure that his little bro didn’t get into trouble, always dragging him back to where he was supposed to be. Yup, Byungho was a blessing to their parents (of course his little brother was too), he has saved his brother from accidents multiple times.
While growing up, Byungho and his brother both absolutely loved gaming. Especially games like League of Legends and Starcraft. Byungho didn’t really know what else to do, so when he got offered a contract to go pro in League of Legends, he agreed. It was 2014 when he started. His Korean team didn’t really do well, and it disbanded after one season. Byungho, who was now better known as Lai, had to find a new team. He found one, but it was all the way in Taiwan. But Byungho was very dedicated to his career, so he moved to Taiwan on his own to play with Flash Wolves in 2015. He was a substitute player there. That season, Flash wolves was able to go to worlds as second Taiwanese team, and actually upset one of Korea’s top teams at that time. Byungho was able to play on the biggest stage of league of legends, any pro player’s dream. Taiwan was worth it, but at the end of the season, they didn’t need him anymore. So Byungho had to look for another team again. His career had just started, and he got an offer from a Korean team this time, so he could be reunited with his family. Even though he wasn’t able to go to worlds this time, Byungho actually felt better, because he could be with the family he loved so much. Over a year, his lovely little brother had grown so much, and he wanted to follow in his big bro’s footsteps.
After a year with CJ entus, Byungho moved teams again, to Afreeca Freecs. He is still with Afreeca Freecs up to this day, and while they were a mid-tier team before, now they have become one of the top threats. But Byungho overworked himself for the team, and he started to have trouble with his back. His plays weren’t as good as before because of his pain, and the doctor advised him to take a rest. Not now, not when Afreeca is having their top days. Byungho refused, until It’s dangerous beyond the blanket announced their fan-idol special. Byungho was known amongst his friends and team as huge Good day fanboy. They secretly applied under his name, and this way they could actually convince him to take that well-deserved break from pro gaming. He’ll hopefully be back fully rested and healed after this show, and join them for the qualification matches for worlds. And maybe he’ll return with a girlfriend named Song Heejin?

Byungho's lovely little brother that made him become such a sweet and caring person who basically adopts everyone younger than him. Byungmin admires his big brother and aspires to be like him, but now that he has joined one of Byungho's biggest rival teams as young prodigy, he might surpass his big brother. Maybe they'll even qualify for worlds together and be the first brothers to do so. But Byungho still has to constantly watch his brother and save him from getting into trouble. (fc: 24K's Hongseob, in this story he is the replacement of KT's Ucal) The reason that they grew so close is because Byungmin was in an accident when he was very young. Because Byungho was with him at the time, he blamed himself for not looking out for him enough. Byungmin ended up being very lucky, and nothing big resulted from the accident, but since then, Byungho took every chance to show how much he loved his baby brother. This is why he grew up becoming so protective.

Byungho isn't really an indoor person except when he's playing games. If he's inside he's either playing games (especially league of legends of course) or being held hostage inside because of his back injury. Also, does working out count as indoor activity? It's under a roof so yeah I'm counting that. If there is the possibility to do wellness and spa activities he'll spend lots of time there, and he also has to go to the physiotherapist from time to time to work on strengthening and healing his back, even while being on the show.

Byungho lives for sports so when he's not inside gaming or being held hostage he'll be outside jogging or swimming or playing tennis or any other sport. He also loves to chill at the beach and just take walks. Jeju is a really nice place so why wouldn't he go out and enjoy it?

first of all, what do you usually like to do in your house?
house? What do you mean with house? I haven't lived in a house in years now, I live in a dorm, and we practice almost every single hour of the day. I only am in the house to train, eat and sleep, whenever I have free time I'll go out to practice sports or just hang out in the sun. We pro gamers don't really see a lot of sun, you know...
how did you find out about the summer vacation special of IDBTB?
I actually didn't know about it! My teammates applied under my name and didn't tell me! They forced me into taking a rest from pro gaming because I was too stubborn... Those bastards...
have you ever been to Jeju Island, or have been there before? if yes, what are some things you like about Jeju or want to learn about the island?
I have been here before, but I was quite young so I don't remember much anymore... The only thing I remember is trying to keep my baby brother safe on the beach while our parents fell asleep. I really want to explore the island, swim in the ocean and do lots of fun activities with everyone.
any particular activities you like to do with your artist and with the other fans in the program?
I really want to go to the beach with them all, I also want to challenge miss Song to a tennis match, if she likes it of course- It would also be lots of fun to have a spa day together, or a sports day too! But I bet there will be idols or fans who don't agree with those two activities...
Lastly, what is 'honjeo obseoye' means?
What? I don't know- Is that even Korean? It sounds like Korean- Is it Jeju dialect maybe? That must be it...

– Heejin is an absolute sweetheart. As leader of Good day and mother of 9 adorable girls, she is a very caring person who is always there for others. She babies the youngest members endlessly and would protect them at all costs. Maybe it's her caring motherly side that made endless dad Byungho so crazy about her? Heejin (who Byungho always refers to as miss Song because he's afraid of offending her) is also a very cheerful and hard-working person. She's smiling most of the time and even when she's exhausted from training, she'll still be smiling because she worked hard, is proud of herself and her kids and happy that she debuted. She's also very neat and gentle, which is very good because she can prevent the disasters Byungho creates with his clumsiness. She might even be able to teach him some cooking without him cutting himself or burning the food.
Heejin does seem perfect (and to Byungho she absolutely is), but she's definitely not, because no one is. Heejin has a hidden pessimistic side. She works very hard, but once something fails, Heejin will get really sad, and Byungho and the others have to do their best to cheer her up. Heejin strives to perfection, to the point that it makes her extremely tense, very sensitive and having quite the temper. Sometimes it even messes with her general health. She really needs someone around her to calm her down at such moments, and honestly, Byungho is ideal for that.

– Byungho had never seen Heejin in real life before because of his tight schedules as professional gamer. So when he met Heejin for the first time on the show, it was a mess. Heejin was very honored to even get the chance to be on such a big show while being a relatively unknown rookie. Byungho was just a complete mess. He had brought a cute poro plushie for her. (a poro is a cute little animal that randomly appears in league of legends) But because he was so nervous, he couldn't even properly introduce himself and dropped the plushie on the floor. The poor man was a mess, and Heejin thought it was adorable.
Once Byungho was able to calm down and talk properly to his big idol (after ranting to his teammates on the phone), they actually found that they had quite a lot in common. They were both very caring and took care of the other participants. They naturally drifted towards each other because they took care of the mess that was the rest of the cast. They were often in charge of the chores of the house, because they wanted to, but of course, Byungho was a mess, so Heejin had to make sure that he didn't cause a disaster, and it is honestly adorable. Byungho was obviously head over heels immediately with the girl he considers his ideal type. Heejin started to feel something for Byungho as well, but it came bit by bit throughout the show. Whenever he was being clumsy, caring for another member, sad because of his back injury, showing off his sports skills or working hard for his pro gamer career, Heejin started to feel more for him every single time she just saw him doing one of those things, or just because of his lovely, sheepish smile. It's become her mission to make sure that by the end of the show, Byungho's back will be fully healed up so he can go back to Afreeca Freecs and help them to worlds. She even called his physiotherapist in Jeju to ask for tips and tricks on how to help him ease the pain. Whenever Byungho is held hostage inside to rest, it's always because of Heejin because she knows that it's better for him. And that always gives her an adorably grumpy Byungho in return. How they will end? Only time will tell.
