APPEARANCE : 

º standing at 180 cm, it is no doubt that jaeuel is one of the if not the tallest guy in Cosmic Boy, he has a nice slim body, but not too slim that keeps him from looking like a total twig. his hair usually dyed in colors such as, dark pink, black but with a hint of yellow at the spikes, full out blonde, or the usual black or brown.  for his hair style, it's usually combed down, or swepted to the side exposing his forehead. he has tanned skin, sharp eyes that makes him look furious, and a jawline that looks like it was carved by god himself. 

FASHION STYLE :

º jaeuel loves to wear oversized clothes, because he finds them more comfortable than clothes that barely go down to your waist. he is usually seen wearing an black bomber jacket which he leaves ped exposing a simple white or black t-shirt. he also wears his usual black skinny jeans and black boots which is almost spotless. his color scheme isn't really all that great since it consists of mostly black, white, or white with a hint of gray.

PERSONALITY : 
jaeuel is probably one of the most loyal friend you'll ever have. he'll always stick by your side no matter how badly you up or how embarrasing you are, don't worry he's probably the same or even worse. people mistake jaeuel as a intimidating person, but once you meet him you'll realize he's the total opposite. most of his close friends would describe he's a "ray of sunshine that brings joy to the world.", he truly can lighten up the atmosphere with just his presence. he can make anyone laugh with his dumb stupid jokes but i guess that seems to do the trick. 

although he's this "happy and funny" guy, he finds it hard to accept new people into his life, if you're meeting jaeuel for the first time and he's acting "cold" to you, he's probably either not comfortable with you or he's just socially-awkward. there's no iin-between. jaeuel is also very possive to his belongings, and holds everything close to his heart. although they are giving, sharing isn't exactly easy for jaeuel. 

BACKGROUND :
shin jaeuel born on august 15, 1997 in seoul, south korea, probably one of the busiest cities in the world. his life was surrounded by music even at such a young age, his father was a music teacher while his mother was a model. that explains where he got his good looks from. since his dad was a music teacher, his father insisited that he would at least try out an instrument so jaeuel picked up the guitar. that's when his love for music grew. jaeuel was always this happy and funny kid at school, had lots of friends, and got decent grades. he loved it well except for the extreme workloads of work and projects he had to do at school but still. at the age of 10, he convinced his parrents to let him take dance lessons as most of his friends were either dancers or taking vocal lessons. by the way jaeuel went to an arts school in seoul, hence that's why he had so many "talented" friends. now balancing guitar practice and dance lessons wasn't all that hard, because he was taking guitar lessons from his dad so he could come home every night from dance and practice the guitar with his dad. life was simple. at the age of 15, as his interest for music expanded throughout the years, he convinced his parents to audition for starship ent. only because he enjoyed being on stage, he enjoyed the thrilled of it. his parents surprisingly accepted and supported him throughout the process. as he was accepted by starship ent, he practiced long hours as he wanted to debut.

although jaeuel is a trainee at starship ent. you would think that jaeuel wouldn't have time to talk and "hang out" with junghyun. well you're wrong. jaeuel and junghyun has been best friends ever since elementary school and are still closer than ever. if they can't meet face to face with each other they would text each other or face time.

TRAINEE LIFE : 

º entering the training industry was a whole new journey. since he only had experience in only dancing it took him a while to being able to stablize his voice and his rapping techniques. he would often find himself staying up until 3 am to practice his dancing or practicing his vocals and only had up to 3-4 hours of sleep. it was stressful for jaeuel, but he knew what he was getting himself into the first place so of course he was not going to quit there. other than that, every trainee was nice to him, he made lots of friends and interacted with some who just joined the company, well mostly everyone loved him because of his funny and humorous personality, jaeuel felt loved by the trainees. he was often babying one of the younger trainees or either being babied by one of the older trainees. there's no in-between.

LIFE IN COSMIC BOY : 
º being introduced as one of the earliest members, jaeuel felt relived, not only because he finally got to "debut" but since he was the 5th to be introduced not many were expecting much as they were most likely focused on the first or last boy. since he was introduced during christmas, most would be spending time with their relatives not even bothering to check the internet for updates, most people actually found out about jaeuel was the day after he was introduced. i guess that's a good and bad thing. 

º jaeuel was given the image of a "clueless guy who has no idea what he's doing most of the time" basically being the 
4-D member of the group. this was no different from jaeuel's actual self, i mean who actually has no idea what he's doing most of the time anyways.

º being in a group with 12 other members is quite different for jaeuel. being the only child of the family he has never experienced sharing a room with others. he found it hard to accept everyone into his lives, especially accepting 12 other people. it was at first awkward for jaeuel but later on he got the hang of it, he never complained once as he was already grateful that he got to debut in the first place. a group with 13 people is a hassel when distributing lines and screen time, and sometimes it is truly unfair as one member has a bunch of lines while another member has less than 7 seconds of lines and barely any screen time. 

º jaeuel is actually more than grateful, that he was given this position. being labeled as, lead dancer, sub vocal, rapper, and even visual is more than enough for jaeuel. being the visual of the group can surely bring him more than enough screen time for jaeuel. he wouldn't trade his position for anything else. 

º when he first auditioned to be an idol he knew how much pressure being an idol was and he made sure he prepared himself for it. the hate and crtisim he received at first, he completely ignored it as he thought it was just irrelevant hate. and the love he received he completely cherished it. actually jaeuel never gets tired of being the "4-D" of the group, he actually loves being the weird person he is. although he sometimes gets called "dumb" or "stupid" by people he knows it's all a joke.  

º for the drama? jaeuel makes sure he never gets involved but when he does, he makes sure to handle it respecfully and maturely. but when he's not involved? he just sits there with a cold expression but deep down inside he's enjoying the show.
